Chapter 199 - Chapter 199: The Fight Begins

"You... who the hell are you?"

The moment Blueno fell, Rob Lucci's pupils contracted sharply. That speed... even he had trouble following it. Why would someone like this be on the Sea Train?

It was clear that Lucci had not received the news of Bellamy's appearance in Carnival City. Just a short while ago, they had received an urgent mission: to escort a batch of slaves from the Seven Waters to Mary Geoise. But there had been a small problem during the transfer. This group of people—or rather, these slaves—had resisted fiercely, showing no intention of submitting. This had forced them to use some cruel methods to suppress them.

The members of CP9 knew full well that these were no ordinary slaves; they were, in fact, civilians from the Seven Waters. Their identity was extremely sensitive, which was why CP9 had been urgently dispatched to escort them. If it became known that the World Government was forcibly capturing civilians from the Seven Waters and using them as slaves, it would undoubtedly cause a massive storm of public opinion. Reputation, face, and even the lip service they paid to justice were all things the World Government had to consider.

Bellamy's intuition, in fact, was not wrong. This incident was indeed closely related to him. If he hadn't wrecked the fleet escorting the Heavenly Tribute, the World Government wouldn't have been in such a frantic state. CP9 had been in the middle of a very important infiltration mission, only to be forcibly recalled by the Five Elders. This showed that in the eyes of the Five Elders, this batch of able-bodied slaves was even more important than the blueprints for Pluton.

"Who am I? A dead man has no need to know."

With Blueno dead, these dogs of the World Government were already dead men in Bellamy's eyes.

Just then, Drake and the others finished dealing with the guards at the door and walked in from outside.

"Alright, boys and girls, this is all yours." Bellamy casually found a seat and settled in to watch the show.

Drake looked at the blood on the floor, then at Rob Lucci, and nodded to his captain. "Leave it to me."

"How arrogant!"

This group was completely ignoring him. How could Rob Lucci's pride tolerate such a thing?

Leopard-Man Transformation!

In the span of a breath, Lucci completed his Leopard-Man transformation. A tall beast-man, covered in leopard spots, appeared in the train car.

"Whoa, we're up against a leopard." Ross swaggered forward. "Little kitty, come get a taste of my horns!"

Transformation: Black Rhinoceros Form!

A giant black rhinoceros appeared where he had stood.

"Who in the world are you!"

All the members of CP9, except for their director Spandam, were in this car. They were: The two-sword style swordsman, Kaku (who had not yet eaten the Ox-Ox Fruit). Jabra, user of the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Wolf. Kalifa, user of the Bubble-Bubble Fruit. Kumadori. Fukurou. And Nero.

Among them, only Kaku and Jabra had any real strength; the rest were just small fry. The one who had just spoken was a long-legged beauty in fishnet stockings, the user of the Bubble-Bubble Fruit, Kalifa.

"Who are we?" Drake sneered. "Go ask the King of the Underworld!"

He immediately activated his own transformation. After a series of creaks and groans, a ferocious-looking Allosaurus appeared before them.

Ross the Black Rhinoceros let out a cold laugh and, ignoring the large group of slaves in front of him, lowered his hooves and charged.

Rhino Charge!

Drake followed behind his massive form, charging forward as well. The ship's doctor and cook, however, seemed concerned about the nearby civilians and were holding back.

"Let's end this quickly," Mia said.

"Right."

Slow-Slow Beam!

Muret carefully aimed her hand at the enemy and released an invisible beam. Her ability did not distinguish between friend and foe. If the Slow-Slow Beam hit, even her allies would be affected. Because of this, Muret was extremely careful when using this skill, terrified of hitting Drake or Ross.

Mia didn't rush in rashly, but instead stood guard near Muret, acting as her protector. If the Slow-Slow Beam hit its mark, this battle would be over. Lucci's strength was considerable, but if his thought process and nerve reflexes were slowed by several times, even he would be brought to his knees. Drake's own strength was not to be underestimated; all he lacked now was the accumulation of Haki.

Seeing the enemy launch a fierce attack, Lucci, refusing to be outdone, immediately used Shave to charge forward. The other members of CP9, seeing Lucci's impulsive move, followed suit and joined the attack.

However, there was one among them who had never gotten along with Lucci. Seeing Bellamy sitting on the sidelines, watching the show instead of fighting, he immediately realized that today's trouble would not end well. With a quick glance, he began to sneak towards the back of the car.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't understand. From the moment they encountered Bellamy, their fate was sealed.

"Why are you running?" a strange voice suddenly sounded in Jabra's ear. "If you fought properly, you could have lived a little longer."

The user of the Dog-Dog Fruit shuddered violently. "When!" To have someone appear behind him without him noticing... a drop of cold sweat trickled down Jabra's forehead.

"Wait!" Jabra's mind raced, desperately trying to think of something to say that could save his life.

Before he could come up with a good idea, a sharp pain, as if his heart were being crushed, spread from his back throughout his entire body.

Bellamy wiped the blood from his fingers and turned to look at the surrounding slaves.

"Why are you all still standing here? Don't you know you're in the way?"

Only then did the forcibly captured civilians snap out of their daze, fleeing in a panic to the other cars.

These people... they look like they were just captured.

Bellamy wasn't blind; how could he not see the abnormality in their condition? From their demeanor, their clothes, and their spirit, he could tell they had lived relatively good lives before. While not all of them were robust, they had rosy complexions and were in good health. This was not the appearance of civilians from a war-torn region.

"Why do I feel like the appearance of this group has something to do with me?"

With too little information, even Bellamy couldn't see the full picture. But since the members of CP9 were here, if he wanted to know, he could just capture them and ask.

"I should have kept him alive."

That guy who had tried to run was clearly a weak-willed coward. With a little persuasion, he probably would have spilled everything. Now, he could only wait for Drake and the others to finish the fight and then capture a survivor to question.
