Chapter 169 - Chapter 169: Begeland

Green Bit was incredibly lush, with no paths through its dense forests, making travel quite difficult. Bege's men had no choice but to clear a path for him with their weapons.

"Taylor, listen carefully to the sounds around us. Finding the Little People Tribe depends on you," Bege said to Warren Taylor.

The Little People were tiny and very hard to spot, and their kingdom existed in an underground space, making it even more challenging to locate. For now, their only hope was that Warren Taylor could hear the Little People's voices.

"I know," Warren Taylor nodded seriously, activating her ability and listening intently to all sounds within a several-hundred-meter radius.

They wandered around a good portion of the island before finally making a discovery.

"Bege, I hear people talking! Right in that direction!" Warren Taylor's expression lit up, and she quickly pointed.

Bege immediately spread his Observation Haki and found that there were indeed several extremely tiny figures in the grass in that direction. A smile touched his lips; he had finally found the Little People Tribe.

"Oops, we've been spotted! Attack! Capture them first!" The Little People in the grass seemed to sense something and immediately called out to their companions.

A series of tiny sounds emerged, and one after another, Bege's men collapsed. Some were even pinned directly to trees; a tiny figure darted around one man, and he found himself actually sewn to a tree.

A whooshing sound indicated an attack aimed at Bege, but their movements were all within his perception and were blocked by his invisible barrier, causing the attackers to bounce off and fall to the ground, revealing their true forms.

They were indeed the tiny Little People.

More than a dozen Little People leaped out from the forest, holding equally tiny weapons, warily eyeing Bege.

"Who are you Big Humans, and why have you come to Green Bit?" The one who spoke was a Little Person wearing a green hat and carrying a long needle. If Bege's memory served him right, this should be Leo, the Tontatta Corps Leader and user of the Stitch-Stitch Fruit.

Bege smiled. "My name is Capone Bege, also known as Begeland. I am a descendant of Noland, and I've come specifically to visit the Tontatta Tribe."

"A descendant of Hero Noland! It's a descendant of Hero Noland! Oh, how exciting, how exciting! We've finally met a descendant of Noland!" The Little People immediately became ecstatic, even breaking into an excited dance.

"Such innocent Little People. To think such a pure-hearted race still exists in this world," Warren Taylor mused. She could hear that these Little People were genuinely thrilled, without a hint of suspicion.

Glancing at the smiling Bege, Warren Taylor couldn't help but mutter, "You really are a bad guy, you know that?"

Bege laughed heartily.

"My apologies, Begeland! We didn't know you were a descendant of our hero! I apologize for my rudeness and beg for your forgiveness!" Leo said, full of remorse.

"Begeland, please forgive us!" The other Little People all bowed their heads in apology.

"Hehehehe, don't worry about it! My family and the Tontatta Tribe will always be brothers! There's no need for apologies between brothers!" Bege said magnanimously.

"Thank you for your forgiveness, Begeland!" Leo was moved to tears, and the other Little People also embraced each other, crying loudly.

"Are they really this easy to fool?" Warren Taylor looked utterly speechless.

"My brothers of the Tontatta Tribe, could you perhaps release my men first?" Bege asked gently.

"Oh, I almost forgot about Begeland's friends!" Leo quickly wiped his tears and released all the men who had been sewn to trees or the ground.

Bege's men stood behind him, looking completely bewildered.

"Begeland, please come with us to the Tontatta Kingdom! Our people will be so excited to see you!" Leo said excitedly to Bege.

"Hehehe, of course! I came here specifically to see all of you," Bege chuckled.

"Then let's go quickly! I can't wait to treat Begeland to our finest food!" Leo and the others were full of excitement.

They led Bege deep into the forest, excitedly singing a song along the way—a ballad praising the friendship between Noland and the Tontatta Tribe.

The Tontatta Kingdom was located tens of meters underground. Fortunately, there was an entrance large enough for them to enter.

After passing through a narrow underground tunnel, the view suddenly opened up to a vast space. Dense vegetation grew everywhere.

Walking further in, one could see various types of tiny houses built upon some of the plants—the homes of the Little People.

This was the Tontatta Kingdom, the dwelling place of the Little People Tribe.

Leo had already sent someone to inform the King of the Tontatta. Before long, hundreds, even thousands, of excited Little People rushed over, gathering to observe Bege and his companions.

"Begeland, our King has arrived!" Leo called out urgently. A white-bearded old Tontatta wearing a crown walked over. Beside him was a Little Person girl with her hair in two pigtails, adorned with two flowers. She had a pointed nose and a fair face with two patches of rosy blush. She looked very shy, stealing a glance at Bege before quickly looking down, her face turning even redder.

Bege recognized her at once—Princess Mansherry of the Little People Tribe.

"Hoh hoh hoh hoh! Begeland, descendant of Hero Noland, welcome to the Tontatta Tribe! I am Gancho, chief of the Tontatta Tribe," the white-bearded Little Person King exclaimed with an excited laugh.

"Greetings, Great Chief Gancho of the Tontatta! Begeland pays his respects to you," Bege said, bowing his head with a gentle smile.

Bege's gentle voice immediately won applause from the Little Person King and the other Tontatta.

"Begeland! Begeland!" All the Little People cheered Bege's name excitedly.

"My people! Today, Begeland has come! He is our most important guest! We must treat him to our finest food! Everyone, get moving!" King Gancho shouted excitedly.

"I'll go find the freshest, most tender Brightwood Fruit!"

"I'll go catch the fattest animals!"

The Little People sprang into action, scattering with cheers.

Bege sat on the ground and began to converse with the old King Gancho.

"Begeland, I heard from Leo that you came specifically to find us. Is there something you need?" King Gancho asked.

"It's like this: my ancestor, Noland, always cared deeply for the Tontatta Tribe and worried that you might not be living well. He always hoped for the Tontatta to live good lives. Therefore, following my ancestor's last wishes, I came to find the Tontatta Tribe, hoping to help you all live happy and prosperous lives," Bege recited the lie he had woven long ago.

Upon hearing these words, King Gancho and the other Little People were immediately moved to tears.

"To think Hero Noland still remembered us! What an honor!"

"I came this time because I want to invite the Tontatta Tribe to a Sky Island. There is no war there; it is very peaceful, and everyone lives in happiness and health. I hope the Tontatta Tribe can live there happily ever after," Bege said solemnly.

The Little People's eyes sparkled.

"Begeland would never lie to us! I believe Begeland!" Leo declared with deep conviction.

"I believe Begeland too! King, let's go to the Sky Island! We want to live with Begeland!" the Little People chimed in one after another.

"I have never doubted Begeland for a moment! Then it's decided! We will go to the Sky Island!" the old king said excitedly.

"Oh, oh, oh! We can live with Hero Begeland!" The Little People cheered and leaped for joy once more.

"The Little People are really… really too gullible," Warren Taylor muttered, covering her face, unable to watch any longer.
