Chapter 134 - Chapter 134: Exposed Whereabouts

"What flavor of ramen do you want?"

"Tonkotsu ramen!"

"Boss, one deluxe tonkotsu ramen, extra pork chops. And beef ramen for the four of us!"

"Coming right up! Please wait a moment!"

Behind the counter, the ramen chef known as Teuchi—nicknamed "Hand-Beating Uncle" by the younger generation—paused mid-motion, his eyes narrowing as he studied the customers. The voice... the face... they triggered something in his memory.

Especially the man standing at the front, along with the red-haired woman beside him. There was something strangely familiar about them.

His hands, still dusted with flour, trembled slightly.

"M-My lord... is that you?"

Su Xiuyu looked up at the older man's wrinkled face. His memories stirred. He vaguely recalled visiting Ichiraku Ramen back when Konoha was first founded—when the stand was still new and the ramen didn't come with a cult following.

Part of him had eaten here because of Ichiraku's eventual fame—Naruto's favorite, the so-called "ramen of legends." Then there was the meme-worthy rumor of "Otsutsuki Ichiraku." Nonsense, of course. Teuchi and his daughter Ayame were just normal civilians, no celestial bloodlines involved.

"Oh, Teuchi… long time no see," Xiuyu said with a chuckle. "You've aged. Can't believe you recognized me after all this time."

"You looked exactly like this when I was a boy…" Teuchi murmured. "To think, decades later, you haven't changed at all…"

He stared in disbelief, the air thick with nostalgia.

"Well, now that you're back, I assume you'll handle whatever's been going on in the village. Do you still want it extra spicy?"

"Of course. You still remember, huh? Super spicy. Chisato, are you okay with that, or should we dial it down for you?"

"I'll try the spicy one too," Mito replied with a calm smile.

Naruto, who'd been enjoying the conversation and the food, finally looked up in confusion.

"Wait, big bro, you know the ramen boss? And… you've known each other for decades?! That can't be right..."

Xiuyu gave a soft laugh. "What Teuchi said is true. We've known each other a long time. How should I explain it…? I may be a bit older than I look. Naruto, a word of advice: never ask a lady her age. Some things are better left unspoken."

"Ah, no wonder Tsunade nearly killed me when I called her Granny!" Naruto clutched his head at the memory. "If the Pervy Sage hadn't stepped in and taken two hits for me, I'd still be in the hospital."

"Hahaha!" Su Xiuyu, Chisato, and the others burst into laughter.

"Tsunade's already old enough to be called 'Granny,' huh…" Mito sighed softly. "Last I saw her, she was just a kid… always hanging around the casinos in Konoha. Tobirama was so furious, he shut them all down out of spite."

After their meal, Naruto stood up and bowed deeply.

"I'm sorry, big bro. I… I actually alerted the security department earlier. You looked unfamiliar, and with the way the village handles outsiders now, I didn't want to take risks. But after hearing everything—and seeing how the ramen boss recognized you—I realized I made a mistake. Thank you for the meal… and I'm really sorry!"

Su Xiuyu smiled gently. "It's fine. I noticed when you sent the signal. But I didn't say anything."

He reached out and tousled Naruto's hair.

"In fact, I should praise you. Caution is a virtue for a ninja. And admitting your mistake openly shows integrity. You did well, Naruto. You've got potential."

Naruto scratched the back of his head, a little embarrassed by the praise.

"You want me to explain everything to the Security Department?"

"No need. Just head home. I'm not some spy from another village."

"Alright then. Thanks again, big bro! I'm off!"

After Naruto left, a new figure stepped forward from the shadows—accompanied by a team of Uchiha guards.

Uchiha Shisui.

"Who are you?" he demanded, eyes sharp. "You bypassed Konoha's barrier unnoticed. And wearing that face—don't you know how dangerous that is?"

Shisui activated his Sharingan. His instincts screamed caution, but he didn't yet know why.

Su Xiuyu simply smiled.

"That body flicker technique… must be Uchiha Shisui," he said.

Shisui's eyes narrowed further. "You know my name? Who are you?"

Su Xiuyu appeared behind him in a flash, casually resting a hand on his shoulder.

"What if I said this face is mine?"

Shisui whirled around—and froze.

A pair of beautiful Mangekyō Sharingan stared back at him.

Suddenly, the world shifted. He and his squad were no longer in the street but inside a mirror-like dimension. The village outside remained bustling, but no one could see or hear them.

Genjutsu? No… something more.

"Look closely," Su Xiuyu said. "I am Uchiha Xiuyu. Why do you think I wear this face?"

Shisui's mind raced. His Sharingan didn't detect illusion, but his heart insisted this wasn't real.

Then he felt it.

Power. Depth. Legacy.

He dropped to one knee.

"Ancestor… I'm sorry. I didn't recognize you."

Xiuyu raised an eyebrow. "What, you don't think this is genjutsu?"

"There may be shinobi capable of trapping me in an illusion," Shisui said calmly, "but none can do so without me noticing. Not unless they're a legend of the shinobi world."

"Hm. Clever. What about your eyes? Did you get them back from Danzō?"

"Yes," Shisui nodded. "I killed him. I retrieved my Mangekyō."

"Good. That fool always had a dangerous obsession with the Sharingan. I won't fault him—he was Tobirama's student—but he overstepped."

Shisui bowed again. "As expected of you, Ancestor Xiuyu. Your insight is—"

"Don't call me 'ancestor.' It makes me feel old. 'Master Xiuyu' is fine."

"Yes, Master Xiuyu," Shisui corrected himself quickly. "Would you be willing to come to the clan compound and meet with the elders?"

Xiuyu nodded. "Why not? Let's see how you've managed the Uchiha in my absence."

He paused, thoughtful.

"By the way… are the seals on Uchiha Rei and her daughter still intact?"

Shisui blinked. "Uchiha… Rei? I'm sorry, I don't know who that is."

----------------------

Shisui's question stirred a distant memory in Su Xiuyu's mind—memories from decades ago.

Back then, Rei and her daughter were already elderly in terms of human years. However, thanks to a sealing technique passed down from Uzumaki Mito, Rei had preserved her youth by locking vast amounts of chakra within herself—almost like a more graceful version of Tsunade's Yin Seal.

The technique's primary effect was cosmetic: maintaining a youthful appearance and healthy skin. Rei adored the technique and passed it on to her daughter.

But in terms of talent, her daughter was… ordinary. With Su Xiuyu's considerable investment of resources, she'd barely reached the level of a jōnin—likely her limit.

Still, Su Xiuyu had a soft spot for them. The two had served as his personal attendants since the Warring States period, and their cooking in particular had left a lasting impression.

When Su Xiuyu crossed into the Marvel World, both Rei and Kei had already been given the Uchiha surname. But chakra fruits were scarce then, so he had to use a special sealing method to place them in stasis—suspended in a state of false death, deep in his underground chamber.

Now, after stepping into the realm of the Six Paths and mastering Yang Release, Su Xiuyu could fully restore their lives.

"It's nothing," he finally replied, pulling himself from the memory. "She lived during the Warring States Period. It's normal you haven't heard of her."

Shisui nodded, though the curiosity remained on his face. "Then... how do we leave this place?"

"We're already here," Su Xiuyu said calmly.

The space around them shattered like glass, and in the blink of an eye, they were back within the Uchiha clan compound.

Shisui's mouth opened, then closed again. "That… was space-time ninjutsu?"

"Not quite." Su Xiuyu's tone was casual. "It's a spatial ability that generates an independent mirror dimension. Damage inside doesn't affect the real world. And unless you possess spatial mastery, you can't escape."

"So it's a jutsu?"

"Not exactly. It's closer to a spell."

"Spell?" Shisui's head tilted slightly. "How is that different from ninjutsu?"

"Magic is power from another world—completely separate from chakra. Even if I explained it, you wouldn't understand. Just think of it as… something alien."

Their conversation was cut short as a nearby Uchiha patrol suddenly shouted, "Intruder! Who entered the compound without triggering the barrier—!?"

"Sleep."

The patrolman collapsed instantly under Su Xiuyu's gaze.

"Shisui, go contact Fugaku. Tell him I'll be waiting at home."

"Yes, Master."

Su Xiuyu wasn't being arrogant. Even if he showed up in person, Fugaku would likely panic. No sense delaying the inevitable.

When he opened the door to his old residence, a wave of familiarity washed over him. The furnishings were nearly untouched. The maple tree in the yard—once a sapling—had grown into a thick, graceful giant.

"Looks like they've taken care of it."

"Of course," Mito said with a soft laugh. "Your clan might be headstrong, but they're not stupid. Neglecting their ancestor's home? They'd have to be fools."

Su Xiuyu chuckled. "Still… it feels strange. Bittersweet."

"I'll cook supper with Chisato tonight," Mito added. "We'll wake Rei and Kei tomorrow. I checked the seal earlier—no signs of degradation. I even felt Uncle Hibiki's chakra."

"Uncle Hibiki… still alive? That man's more stubborn than time itself," Su Xiuyu joked.

"He's terrified of you," Mito grinned. "But do me a favor—when you have time, extend his life. He was the witness to our love."

"For you my wife? Always."

"Who's your 'wife,' huh? Go flirt with Chisato."

"She counts too. The ninja world isn't monogamous."

"Ugh. Listen to you showing off."

Meanwhile, Shisui had already arrived at the Hokage building, moving so fast even the guards barely noticed.

Despite wearing a mask, Kakashi recognized his body language immediately.

"What's with the rush? Something serious?"

"Very. I need to speak with the Hokage immediately."

Kakashi opened the doors. Inside, Fugaku and Shikaku were reviewing mission reports.

"Shisui?" Fugaku asked, setting down his pen. "What's the matter?"

"There's a critical issue in the clan."

Shisui glanced at Shikaku, clearly hesitant to speak in front of him.

"Relax," Fugaku said calmly. "The Hokage building is protected by a perfect barrier. And Shikaku isn't an outsider. He's one of us."

Shikaku arched an eyebrow but didn't object. He knew a political olive branch when he saw one—and accepted it.

"Master… Uchiha Xiuyu has returned. He's in the clan compound."

The room fell silent.

Fugaku shot up from his chair, eyes wide. "What?! Uchiha Xiuyu… the ancestor?"

Even Shikaku's eyes widened. He had assumed Fugaku was just flattering himself with talk of ancient legacy—not dropping nuclear truth bombs.

"He's returned," Shisui confirmed. "Along with Lady Mito and several others."

Fugaku didn't hesitate. "We go now. Shikaku, you're coming with us."

Though startled, Shikaku quickly followed. He understood the implications. If this was true, the balance of power in Konoha—and perhaps the shinobi world—was about to shift.

Fugaku had already planned to make the Ino-Shika-Chō clan alliance a pillar of Uchiha's political future. This moment could cement that bond.

As they moved swiftly toward the clan district, Shikaku couldn't hide his conflicted thoughts.

"Are you sure it's alright for me to be here? I'm still technically an outsider."

Fugaku didn't slow his pace. "You're underestimating your role. The Nara clan has always supported us. Your presence is valuable."

Truthfully, Shikaku felt out of place. Uchiha Xiuyu had long passed into the realm of legend—an almost mythical figure whose name was whispered alongside ancient war heroes and founders of clans.

No one ever truly expected him to return.

Time had claimed the First and Second Hokage. Even the strongest of the Warring States period had fallen. The Sage of Six Paths was a story parents told their children before bed.

And yet… now here he was. Alive. Walking the village streets.

If the rumors were true, even the famously long-lived Uzumaki clan paled in comparison. Just days ago, Shikaku had heard of Uzumaki Hibiki taking action—another ghost of the past brought back to life.

Now, Uchiha Xiuyu had returned.

"I'm just here for support," Shikaku muttered to himself. "But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious…"
