Veylira was silent.
She made not a sound. Tear drops rolled down her cheek as she stared through the circle. Mirelah didn't step out of it.
She wasn't dumb. She knew what it meant. Her sister was gone.
Her little sister was… No more.
Her grip on her sword tightened as the tears falling from her eyes grew.
All her life, she had two missions. One was public, and the other was private.
Her first mission was to become the commander of the Velmorian army. But even this mission was tied tightly to her second mission.
