Suddenly, a soft hum rises in the air.
Followed by a tender vibration and thickness that mar the air. The kind of thickness that makes the hairs on your skin rise… And the kind of vibration that informs you that something is coming.
A massive, stone circle suddenly appears beside me, and from its centre, a bright, white light that illuminates all in its path blinds me. Forcing me to shield my eyes with my free hand.
I stare at the stone circle for a second before realising what it is.
The way back home!!
It finally came!
It's my only chance to escape this hell.
If I miss it now… I'll never be able to go back.
I need to get to it. I was warned several times that the way back only comes once.
Home is only a breath away… if I miss it, I'm sure to die.
I look back at the creature yanking at my arm, and only when I see the sight of my flesh tearing does my brain fully reconnect with the pain.
