I remember everything now...
I am Song Jihan. I am sixteen years old. Oh, I am actually seventeen. It's funny that I should forget. Just a few days ago, I am not sure actually since I have no track of the time passing by, I had been celebrating my birthday at a restaurant with three of my school friends. Suddenly, a two people barged into the restaurant. They were robbers.
"Hands up, all of you!!" one masked man said.
"We're not going to hurt you if you just cooperate with us." said the other.
The two men went to each table and searched each person's pocket and bags if they were carrying any. They took out the valuables and took the ones that they wanted.
It made my blood boil, but I would not show them my anger just like that...
"Shouldn't you guys be robbing a bank or something? You can really expect a lot of money from a restaurant that serves broke students and laymen..." I stood up and announced.
The heads of the two men spun around in my direction. And they laughed.
"Haha, aren't you the one who writes the webcomics or something?" The masked man with the bald head said.
I had some popularity in the area but that was usually with high-school students like me who liked reading cultivation novels.
"Yes, I write web novels." I claimed, almost proudly.
"What the heck are you doing, man? Sit down!" my friend Choi Siwoo said.
Siwoo was yanking my hand to make me sit down.
"No." I said, pushing Siwoo's hand away.
"It's my birthday today, and I won't have it spoiled by some baldy in a black mask"
I said it in a proud way but actually I was just worried about the newly withdrawn money in my wallet.
"It's your birthday, is it?" the bald man inched closer to me.
I was actually scared this time. I stepped back as he came near me. My heart was thumping and I could feel its pulse in my ear.
I heard my chair fall down and I stopped moving backwards as I had nowhere to go.
"Then, you should get a birthday gift." the bald man pulled out his gun and fired...
