As Raigor and Veran surveyed their new weapons, a shadow moved behind them. A roar echoed through the forge, shaking the very air.
Maggor blanched, stepping back. "Damn… I didn't think he'd come in person."
Out of nowhere, a figure emerged from the darkness: a massive dragon, with silver scales and eyes as golden as the sun. It was the Dragon of Time, the one who had told them the truth about the Greater Being and the Puppet Master.
"You promised to face the darkness, but first you must repay me."
The Dragon's Quest
Veran stepped forward, his daggers gripping tightly. "We have not forgotten, Dragon of Time."
Raigor nodded. "Tell us of your descendant. Who is he? Where can we find him?"
The dragon lowered his head, his horns glowing with arcane energy. "My descendant has been imprisoned in the Forgotten Lands, under the control of the Greater Being. If you do not free him, our blood will be extinguished forever."
Veran stiffened. "And why does the Greater Being keep him prisoner?"
"Because in his blood flows the key to breaking the seal of his prison."** If my descendant is sacrificed, the darkness will be free… and nothing can stop it."**
Silence.
Raigor tightened his fist around the hilt of his sword. "Where must we go?"
"To the edge of the world… where the sun never rises."
The Decision
Veran turned to Raigor. "We have little time. If the Greater Being manages to break the seal, all will be lost."
Raigor nodded. "Let's go."
Maggor, who had been silent until then, laughed softly. "Ah... you are damned. But that's okay. If you die, at least leave me your weapons."
The Time Dragon flapped its wings, creating a hole in the air. "Enter. I will lead you to the Forgotten Lands."
Without hesitation, Raigor and Veran stepped through the portal.
It was time to face the darkness.
