Sky x High...

Rudra's Dorm Room...

The door clicked shut behind him with a tired metallic echo.

Click~

Rudra—Ra-One—

Exhaled deeply as he entered his room,

His body finally relaxing from the intensity of the mission.

He peeled off his hero mask,

"...."

Dropping it onto the desk.

Then he lay back on his bed,

Staring at the faint glow of the ceiling light.

In his hand buzzed a sleek black phone.

A long-memorized sequence of digits flashed across the screen.

Rudra typed a simple message.

Which was like entering the OTP as he wrote down what his system was showing him in his mind.

"Operation Complete. Code: 12450-A."

This was part of maintaining the identity the world believed he had—

Protocols that Sky High,

The Hero Commission, and the mysterious higher-ups expected of him.

The message sent.

Back at the ship...

After the fight Rudra noticed something shimmered in the corner of his vision.

Something… wrong.

His eyes narrowed.

"...."

A faint blur—

Like a lens catching light—

Floated in the air outside his window. It was not fully visible…

But the distortion gave it away.

An invisibility-cloaked surveillance drone.

Rudra's expression hardened.

"Trying to spy on me…?"

He muttered.

He flicked his wrist, summoning a thin red shuriken of Brahmastra energy.

In one smooth motion—

WHSSSH!—

He threw it.

The air rippled.

A loud metallic boom exploded outside—

SHATTER!

Sparks flew as the invisible drone crashed onto the courtyard below.

Rudra watched it burn out.

"Director Volt… or someone even higher,"

He muttered under his breath.

"They're getting too curious."

He turned away and exhaled.

But he didn't knew it was his own students.

Present...

Back on His Bed

Rudra's body relaxed as he lay back and whispered.

"System… status window."

A golden panel shimmered into existence in his vision—

Smooth, clean, and glowing with divine brilliance.

He let his hand rest over his eyes.

The room was quiet.

"...."

But outside… the world was not.

News feeds were exploding with headlines.

"RA-ONE CAPTURES TWO S-RANK THREATS."

"WHO IS THE NEW HERO?"

"SKY HIGH PROFESSOR TAKES DOWN NIGHTMARE DUO ALONE."

Inside Layla's house, students were still screaming and cheering.

Rudra closed his eyes.

Meanwhile...

Five-Star Bar...

VIP Lounge...

Lavish. Smoky.

Corrupted.

"...."

"...."

"...."

The bass-heavy lounge music thumped lazily as neon lights washed over the velvet couches.

Gold fixtures gleamed like trophies of sin.

At the center of it all reclined a man draped in arrogance and wealth—

Vikrant "Gold Viper" Kashyap.

Half his face was inked with a serpent tattoo coiling down to his neck.

Golden chains clinked as he shifted,

Gold rings glittered on every finger,

Gold watch flashing,

Even gold caps on his teeth.

He lounged back between two nearly-naked women in bikinis so revealing they were basically ribbons.

White powder—

Expensive, illegal, and pure—

Lay scattered across the table like snow.

Snort!

"...."

Ahhhh!!!

Vikrant lazily snorted a thin line with a golden straw, eyelids fluttering.

Then—

He heard hurried footsteps.

Thud. Thud.

Thud. Thud.

A door slammed open.

A young, nervous-looking man in a suit rushed in, sweaty, pale, trembling.

"B-Boss… you need to see this…"

Vikrant didn't move.

"...."

Didn't blink.

Just extended two fingers and snapped.

Snap.

"...."

"...."

The two bikini-clad women immediately stood straight and stepped aside,

Knowing the mood had changed.

The nervous man swallowed and climbed onto the remote controls.

Gulp~

He switched the luxurious holoscreen directly to the live news channel.

And then stepped back.

The screen flashed with breaking red text:

BREAKING NEWS:

LUXURY CRIME SHIP "ECLIPSE DAWN" DESTROYED

A-RANK CRIMINALS MIRE FANG DIED —

BUTCHER SEVERELY INJURED

HERO "RA-ONE" CONFIRMED ON SITE

The anchor continued breathlessly:

"Images recovered from the ship show the hero known as Ra-One eliminating Mire Fang with surgical precision using Butcher's momentum.

"Butcher has been captured alive though critically injured. Authorities are en route to secure the scene—"

Vikrant's fingers tightened on his golden glass.

"...."

CRACK.

He crushed the glass with his bare hand, shards embedding into his palm.

Blood trickled down—

But he didn't react.

His golden-capped teeth ground together, metal clicking ominously.

"Mire Fang… My brother..."

He muttered.

"Dead?"

A violent pulse of anger surged under his tattooed skin.

"And that butcher… crippled? By a single hero?"

The messenger nodded shakily.

Nod~ Nod~

Nod~

"Y-Yes, sir. It was Ra-One. Footage shows—"

BAM!

The table slammed as Vikrant struck it with his fist.

The white powder exploded into the air like snowfall.

The two women shrieked and backed away.

The room pulsed with tension.

"...."

"...."

"...."

"Do you idiots know how much money I poured into that building my reputation?"

Vikrant snarled.

"Do you know how many politicians I had to bribe? How many ports I bought? How many cops I silenced? That ship alone carried weapons worth millions!"

He grabbed the nervous messenger by the collar,

Pulling him so close the fumes of alcohol and cocaine burned the man's nose.

"And one hero—one shiny-red-costume bastard—ruins twenty three years of my work?!"

"B-Boss… the commission says Ra-One is new. They don't know his background."

Vikrant froze.

"...."

Slowly blinked.

Blink~

First shocked the one who dared to touch his ship is a new hero.

A smile—

Cold and venomous—

Spread across his tattooed face.

"Oh… so he's new?"

His voice dipped into a chilling whisper.

"New means… no allies. No reputation. No protection."

He released the man, letting him fall back.

Thud.

"...."

Vikrant stood up slowly, licking his gold-capped teeth.

"Tell the Blood Syndicate… I want info on this Ra-One."

"Everything. Where he sleeps. Who he knows. What he loves."

He twisted his neck, vertebrae popping loudly.

Creak~

"And tell the Shadow Market I'll triple payment to anyone who breaks him."

"Alive or dead."

He looked back at the holoscreen where Ra-One's blurred figure stood amid chaos.

Vikrant Kashyap's eyes narrowed like a serpent preparing to strike.

"You've declared war on the wrong man, Ra-One."

"The Gold Viper strikes back."

After Few Months Passed...

Sky High....

Staff Room...

Minutes Before Parents' Day Meeting.

The staff room was quiet—

"...."

"...."

"...."

Too quiet.

Rudra picked up the folder he had prepared for the meeting and was just about to leave when—

Fsssshhhh…

A soft hiss.

Thin pinkish smoke curled out of the A/C vent like a serpent waking from slumber.

Rudra stopped mid-step.

His pupils shrank.

"...."

[DING...]

[System Warning !]

[System Warning !]

[System Warning !]

[– Foreign Sedative Detected.]

[Potency: High.]

[Delivery Method: Aerosolized Neuro-Sleep Agent.]

"Damn,"

Rudra muttered.

The world tilted.

His knees softened.

"...."

Everything around him began to double… then triple, like ripples in a distorted mirror.

His breathing slowed involuntarily.

Huff~ Huff~

His fingers trembled.

Someone planned this.

Someone expected him to be alone.

Someone timed this attack for Parents' Day—

The one day Sky High allowed full civilian access.

His vision blurred.

"...."

[System Warning!]

[– Host consciousness dropping.]

Rudra grit his teeth hard enough to draw blood.

"...."

"No… you don't."

He slapped himself to his face.

Brahmastra Energy become active and covered his whole body.

WHOOOM—

Golden light erupted from his body like a silent explosion.

The sedative gas that had been trying to wipe his consciousness—

evaporated instantly.

The toxins were burned out of his bloodstream.

His nerves snapped back to life like taut wires; his senses sharpened dangerously.

Rudra exhaled sharply, steam rolling off his shoulders.

Hiss~

"...."

But the room—

…was still filled with pink smoke thick as cotton candy.

A silhouette formed in the fog.

A metallic click followed—

Like a canister being reloaded.

Someone was inside.

"Stay right there, Professor Ra-One."

A feminine voice.

Smooth. Young.

Familiar.

Mocking.

From the fog stepped—

Gwen Grayson.

Except her eyes glowed blood-red,

And her fingers were sparking with micro-current circuits.

Her voice was wrong… deeper, older, layered with a second voice whispering beneath.

Royal Pain.

The villain Gwen's another identity had just made her move.

Rudra's jaw tightened.

"Gwen?"

He said calmly.

She smiled, sharp and cold.

"Not anymore. But for you I willbe always your Gwen."

She raised a palm.

A pulse wave of pink mist surged toward him like a tidal wave from behind her several guns which too spit out the mist.

"Now sleep, Hero."

Parent's Day Hall...

The great hall buzzed with laughter, chatter, and the warm energy of families reunited.

Tables were decorated with floating holograms showing last semester's achievements.

Teachers mingled with parents.

Students proudly introduced their friends.

Steve Stronghold was in the middle of an animated story about

"that time Commander punched a two trucks at a same time,"

When—

Josie stopped.

"...."

Mid-smile.

Her eyes locked onto someone across the hall.

A man in a perfectly pressed suit.

Grey streaks in his hair.

Glasses.

Expression calm, polite, almost forgettable…

Mr. Grayson.

He was speaking to another parent,

But the moment he noticed Josie watching—

He offered her a small, stiff nod…

Nod~

"...."

And walked away toward a quieter corner.

Josie's eyebrows furrowed deeply.

Frown~

That face…

That walk…

That cold, empty aura…

It crawled against a memory she couldn't fully grasp.

"Josie?"

Steve placed a hand on her shoulder, brows raised.

"You okay? You look like you saw a ghost."

She didn't answer immediately.

"...."

Her eyes stayed fixed on the retreating figure of Mr. Grayson.

"I've… seen him before,"

She murmured.

"Somewhere dangerous."

Steve glanced over, saw nothing unusual.

"Honey,"

He chuckled, waving dismissively,

Chuckle~

"he's probably a banker or an insurance guy. You meet tons of civilians when we're on duty."

Josie shook her head slowly.

"No. It's not that. There's something wrong about him…"

Will, standing between his parents, followed her gaze—

And felt a twinge of unease too.

"...."

Mr. Grayson's presence was heavy, unsettling somehow.

But before Josie could place the memory—

A loud metallic boom echoed faintly from the upper floors.

BOOM!

Parents paused.

Students looked up.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Teachers exchanged confused glances.

"Did anyone hear that?"

Will whispered.

Steve straightened, instinct kicking in.

Josie's eyes narrowed.

Frown~

"...."

Mr. Grayson—

The one Josie had been watching—

Checked his watch…

and smiled.

A cold, knowing smile.

Josie's blood ran cold.

"Steve,"

She whispered sharply,

"we need to find Principal Powers. Now."

Steve's hero instincts blazed to life.

"Let's go."

Before Steve or Josie could take a single step toward Principal Powers—

Mr. Grayson pressed something on his watch.

A soft click.

Click~

A blink of red light.

And then—

FWOOSHHHHH—!!

Every fire-sprinkler in the Parent's Day hall burst to life at once.

Cold water rained down over the entire gathering.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Students shrieked.

Parents ducked.

Teachers shouted for calm.

Tables, food, decorations—

Everything became a soaked, chaotic mess.

The perfect distraction.

Steve snapped his head toward where Mr. Grayson was—

Gone.

"...."

"Damn it! He slipped out!"

Steve growled, pushing past panicking parents.

Josie scanned the room, adrenaline spiking.

"He's here. He's still here—I can feel it."

And then—

BOOM.

The power cut.

Darkness swallowed the hall.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Gasps echoed.

Then a dim, eerie series of stage-lights flickered on—

Not from the school's system,

But from portable spotlights someone had planted earlier.

The light swung upward—

Onto the stage.

Onto him.

Mr. Grayson no longer existed.

Standing there was—

Stitches.

Right-hand man of Royal Pain.

Master manipulator.

Quirkless.

Genius.

Psychotic.

And supposed to be dead for decades.

But here he stood—

Dressed in his original villain costume.

A clown-faced mask,

Asymmetrical black-and-purple suit,

Stitched seams running across his arms,

And a jagged scar painted over his lips.

He bowed theatrically.

"Good evening, Commander… Jetstream,"

He purred through the amplifier in his mask.

"You have no idea how long I've waited to see those expressions again."

Steve's fists clenched.

"...."

"...."

Josie's breath caught in her throat.

"No…"

Josie whispered.

"Impossible… We killed you. We killed you."

Stitches tilted his head like a puppet on broken strings.

"Oh, Jet Stream… Jet Stream… darling…"

He crooned, voice dripping with mock affection,

"Do you really think a little fall from the school would kill me?"

Behind him, the spotlights flickered violently—

As if reacting to his presence.

Students began backing away.

Parents grabbed their children.

Teachers shouted for everyone to remain calm.

Steve stepped forward, voice low and dangerous.

"What do you want, Stitches?"

Stitches tapped his chin with exaggerated innocence.

"What do I want…?"

He giggled—

High, thin, unstable.

"Nothing complicated. Just—"

From behind his back, he produced a remote detonator.

The red light blinked.

"—to finish what Royal Pain started."

Josie's eyes widened.

"STEVE, GET DOWN!"

Stitches pressed the button.

And from deep within Sky High—

An explosion shook the entire school.

The floating island trembled.

Lights burst.

Students screamed.

Stitches laughed, spreading his arms as if conducting an orchestra.

"WELCOME BACK TO THE NIGHTMARE—SKY HIGH!"

The floor jumped.

The chandeliers shattered.

The gym-size hall cracked like glass.

Panels ripped from the walls,

Holographic screens snapped apart,

And alarms screamed through the entire school.

Deep beneath Sky High's foundation, the central anti-gravity core erupted into a column of smoke and sparks.

The floating island WOBBLED.

Then—in front of thousands of horrified eyes—

Sky High began to FALL.

The ground tilted sharply.

Tables slid.

People screamed.

Parents clutched their children.

Students scrambled for handholds.

Everything—

EVERYONE—

Was sliding to the left as gravity shifted violently.

From below, down in the city,

People on streets stopped and froze in horror.

A giant shadow was falling from the sky.

If Sky High crashed—

Thousands would die.

The sudden loss of friction threw everyone off their feet.

Kids slammed into walls.

Parents tumbled across the floor.

Tables crashed into people.

The hall became a washing machine of bodies and debris.

Windows SHATTERED outward as the structure tilted beyond 30 degrees.

Will Stronghold, who'd been pushed near the edge—

Crash~

FLEW OUT OF THE BROKEN WINDOW.

"WILL!!!"

Layla screamed.

Josie Stronghold's instincts activated instantly.

Her eyes blazed—

Her body shot forward like a missile—

JETSTREAM MODE: ON

She launched herself out of the falling building,

Tearing through shards of glass to catch her son mid-air.

The wind roared—

The ground rushed closer with terrifying speed.

She caught Will around the waist.

"Hang on, sweetheart!"

"Mom—!"

She banked upward, fighting gravity with every ounce of jet-force she had.

Back in the collapsing hall—

Steve Stronghold charged the stage.

"STITCHES! I'LL—"

But Stitches simply grinned,

Raising a futuristic ray-gun shaped like a twisted toy.

"Ohhh Commander… Always rushing in without thinking."

PCHOOOOOOO—!!

A beam of swirling pink, blue, and white fired.

Steve froze.

"...."

His body began shrinking—

Limbs shortening—

Joints cracking—

Commander Stronghold turned into a SIX-YEAR-OLD CHILD.

His suit hung awkwardly around his tiny frame as he fell to the floor.

"Wha—!? My… voice!?"

Steve's pitch shot up in panic.

"I SOUND LIKE A CHIPMUNK!"

Teachers and pro heroes rushed toward Stitches—

PCHOOO PCHOOO PCHOOO—!!

"...."

"...."

"...."

One by one, every adult hit by the ray-gun shrank—

Their clothes becoming oversized,

Their voices turning squeaky,

Their bodies turning prepubescent.

Principal Powers, Boomer, Coach, and several pro heroes transformed into confused, terrified children.

"W–What just happened!?"

Principal Powers squeaked.

"I'm SHORT AGAIN!?"

Coach Boomer yelled in outrage, voice cracking.

Stitches laughed hysterically.

"Oh, don't worry! The effect is temporary.Well… mostly temporary.Give or take a decades according to your age."

The tilting intensified.

Lights swung like pendulums.

Ceiling panels dropped.

The hall was nearly sideways now.

Everyone was sliding toward the destroyed window.

Layla clung to a metal railing,

Arms trembling as her feet dangled over open sky.

Students screamed as they grabbed at anything to stop falling out.

Sky High plummeted lower.

Faster.

Closer to the city.

The backup engine clicked into activation sequence—

BUT IT NEEDED SEVERAL MINUTES.

Minutes they didn't have.
