Jothi glanced between her brothers and sister,
Sensing the gloom settling over them.
She stepped forward with a small, reassuring smile.
"Come on,"
she said lightly, her voice carrying a warmth meant to thaw the chill in their hearts.
"Maybe there's nothing to be sad about. The reason we couldn't find a single clue is simple—there is no secret sibling. They don't exist."
Her words hung in the air, a gentle attempt to ease the tension.

Kartikeya raised an eyebrow, half-skeptical but tempted to believe her.
Ashoka Sundari let out a small breath,
As if the thought brought some comfort,
While Ganesha remained silent, his eyes narrowing slightly—
As though a small, stubborn part of him still refused to dismiss the possibility.
Suddenly, a deep, steady voice cut through the air.
"What secret sibling?"
The four of them froze, then slowly turned.
"____"
"____"
"____"
There, standing a few paces away,
Was Lord Parashuram,
His curious gaze fixed squarely on them.
The morning light caught the edge of his axe,
Gleam~
And his presence alone seemed to weigh down the air.
Every sibling stiffened instinctively.
Parashuram was now an honored guest at Kailash—
And offending him was unthinkable.
Ganesha, in particular, felt a shiver creep up his spine already imagining the scolding he would be receiving from his mother.
He had past experience with Parashuram…
And it wasn't the sort one forgets easily.
To their surprise, Parashuram let out a low chuckle.
Chuckle~
Reaching into the folds of his garment,
He drew out a small bronze bell—
The very one Ganesha had dropped in his earlier haste.
"You left this behind,"
Parashuram said, stepping forward.
"I followed you to return it."
He held it out in one calloused hand,
Jingle~ Clink~
The faint jingle of the bell the only sound in the stillness.
Ganesha let out a nervous chuckle as he accepted the bell from Parashuram's hand, quickly fastening it back to his hip.
Chuckle~
Parashuram's gaze lingered on them, his brows drawing together.
"Now,"
He said, voice calm but curious,
"what exactly did you mean by a secret sibling?"
The siblings exchanged uneasy glances, each silently urging the others to speak.
Ganesha's past experience with Parashuram's temper was still fresh in his mind, and none of them wanted to risk provoking him again.
Seeing their discomfort,
Parashuram gave a short, dry cough and softened his tone.
Cough~
"If something is troubling you,"
He offered,
"I can help. Don't hesitate to ask."
That reassurance, instead of calming them, spurred the siblings into action.
Within hours,
Their quiet speculation had turned into a full search across Kailash for any hint of the supposed sibling.
Word spread quickly, and soon the entire mountain was buzzing with curiosity—
especially the ganas, who found the whole affair very strange indeed.
After pondering for a while,
Ganesha's trunk tapped lightly against his chin.
'Why not?'
Lord Parashuram had given them his word—
If they needed help, he would help them.
That was no small promise,
Especially from someone whose presence made even the ganas think twice before speaking.
Finally, Ganesha looked up at Parashuram.
"There is… something,"
He began cautiously.
"It's about my mother. She's been… worried lately. At first, I thought it was nothing, but…"
His voice trailed as memories flashed—
Parvati's distracted gaze, the tension in her smile.
He told Parashuram about her cryptic words,
The way she had spoken in riddles that left him and his siblings restless.
Then he mentioned their visit to their father,
Lord Shiva—
How his response had been equally elusive,
His eyes revealing nothing yet somehow saying too much.
"____"
Parashuram listened in silence, his sharp gaze unwavering, absorbing every word.
The air around them seemed to grow still, as though the mountain itself leaned in to hear.
After carefully pondering,
Parashuram arrived at the same conclusion.
But he knew the situation was delicate.
He advised them to continue their search, yet keep everything calm and quiet.
If the gods—
Or anyone else—
Caught wind of it, things could spiral out of control.
"Especially Indra,"
Parashuram added, his tone carrying a note of warning.
"That one can never keep his hands away from trouble."
The reminder was important,
For there was an old promise from Lord Shiva himself:
That there would never be a direct descendant of him and Mata Parvati.
When Mata Parvati had first heard of this vow, her rage had been so great that she had literally laid waste to Indra Lok—
The very realm of the gods.
Hearing Parashuram's advice,
Lord Ganesha bowed his head and thanked him with genuine respect.
The others followed suit, each of them understanding the weight behind Parashuram's words.
After all, Indra's track record spoke for itself.
If making trouble and getting his backside handed to him were an art form,
Indra would be the Picasso of it.
A few days passed…
Meanwhile,
Mata Parvati had also learned of her children scouring all of Kailash,
Determined to find the mysterious sibling they had never met.
Sitting in her chamber,
Parvati took a silver plate filled with pure Himalayan water,
Its surface smooth as glass.
She waved her delicate hand over it,
And ripples shimmered across the water like tiny golden snakes.
The reflection shifted…
Gone was the calm surface—
In its place appeared a memory from long ago.
There he was—
Rudra, no older than eight—
Sitting in the back row of a modern school,
Uniform slightly crumpled, tie nowhere near straight.
His innocent face was framed by an expression that screamed.
'I'm up to something.'
The teacher, a strict-looking woman with glasses perched on the edge of her nose,
Was scribbling on the board.
Rudra, meanwhile, was busy tying the shoelaces of two unsuspecting classmates together under the desk.
He grinned mischievously, eyes darting between his work and the front of the class.
The moment the bell rang, chaos unfolded.
The two boys stood up in perfect sync—
Only to immediately crash back down into their chairs with a loud thud, arms flailing like startled pigeons.
Half the class burst into laughter.
Rudra sat there, pretending to be utterly shocked.
"Oh no! How could this happen? Must be the curse of unfinished homework!"
he whispered loudly enough for everyone to hear.
One kid pointed at him.
"Miss, it was Rudra!"
Rudra gasped, clutching his chest in mock offense.
Gasp~
"Me? I was meditating on the periodic table. How dare you tarnish my good name?"
Even the teacher's stern face cracked into a reluctant smile before she shook her head.
"Rudra… detention. Again."
Rudra leaned back in his chair, whispering to the boy next to him,
"Totally worth it."
Mata Parvathi chuckled softly as she watched the scene.
Chuckle~
Her fingers brushed the water's surface, freezing the image mid-laugh.
"That boy… just like his father when it comes to mischief,"
She murmured with fond exasperation.
Meanwhile, in the same chamber—
Just beyond the carved stone wall—
A quiet rustle of movement betrayed the presence of four curious onlookers.
"____"
"____"
"____"
Four pairs of eyes peeked through a narrow crack in the wall,
Their faces squished together in a stack of divine curiosity.
Ganesha's trunk curled ever so slightly as he tried to get a better view,
Kartikeya leaned in with the competitive focus of a general planning a siege,
Ashoka Sundari's eyes sparkled with mischief,
And little Jothi's grin was wide enough to give her away if she so much as giggled.
Their collective gaze locked on Mata Parvati,
Who sat gracefully on the polished floor.
Before her rested a large brass plate filled with still water.
She traced her palm slowly over its surface.
Ripples shimmered across the reflection like silver threads, and then—
Like the turning of a divine projector—
The image shifted.
The water now showed a scene not of Kailash,
But of the modern world.
A much younger Rudra,
Barely a schoolboy, stood in a brightly lit classroom, grinning with unholy glee.
His hair was a little messy, his tie loose, and his eyes danced with trouble.
In the vision,
Rudra was crouched behind the teacher's desk, holding a small remote.
He pressed a button, and instantly,
The smart board behind the teacher changed from a math equation to a massive picture of a goat wearing sunglasses and riding a skateboard singing crazy frog.
The class erupted in laughter.
The teacher froze mid-sentence,
Her eyebrow twitching.
"____"
Twich~
"RUDRA!"
She barked.
But the boy only leaned casually against the desk,
Folding his arms with the confidence of someone who knew the principal couldn't catch him…
Because he had also swapped the principal's coffee with hot chocolate earlier that morning.
Back in the chamber, Parvati chuckled softly at the scene, shaking her head.
Chuckle~
"Oh, this child…"
She murmured fondly.
The four spies behind the wall shared a look—
"____"
Each smile growing wider.
"That's him,"
Ganesha whispered.
"Our mysterious little brother,"
Kartikeya added, a proud smirk curling at his lips.
"He's perfect,"
Ashoka Sundari grinned.
"I like him already,"
Jothi whispered, eyes gleaming like she'd just found her new partner-in-pranks.
While the four of them crouched behind the carved wall,
Their eyes locked on Parvathi—
Who sat cross-legged on the floor, gazing into the water-filled plate and chuckling softly—
They thought they were perfectly hidden.
Ganesha's trunk twitched with curiosity.
Kartikeya leaned forward, almost knocking into Ashoka Sundari,
Who in turn had to steady Jothi before she tumbled over.
Just as they leaned in for a better look, Parvathi's voice rang out, calm yet certain.
"Ganesha… Kartikeya… Ashoka Sundari… Jothi."
The four froze as if someone had just poured ice water down their backs.
"____"

"____"
She still hadn't turned around.
Instead, her tone softened into a smile they could hear.
"Come forward, children."
The siblings exchanged glances—
Caught red-handed.
Ganesha gave a sheepish grin,
Grin~
"____"
Kartikeya scratched the back of his neck,
"____"
Ashoka Sundari sighed in defeat,
Sigh~
"____"
and Jothi tried to hide behind Ganesha's round frame…
But it was no use.
One by one, they shuffled into the open, heads slightly bowed but eyes still sparkling with curiosity.
Looking at her children—
Who had at last uncovered the truth about their secret sibling—
Parvathi stayed silent.
"____"
The only sound in the chamber came from the shimmering reflection in the water:
Rudra, still in his school uniform,
Gleefully swapping the teacher's chalk with ant chalks,
His little face lit up with mischief as chaos unfolded in the background.
The four siblings stood frozen,
Their eyes darting between the plate and their mother's expression.
Finally, Ashoka Sundari broke the silence.
She slowly raised a hand,
Pointing at the laughing boy in the water's surface.
"Mother… who is he?"
She asked softly, her voice carrying both curiosity and a faint edge of disbelief.
"Is he… really our brother?"
Following Ashoka Sundari's lead, the other three quickly found their voices.
"Mother, why is he in that strange place?"
Kartikeya asked, his brow furrowed.
Frown~
"And why is he dressed so oddly?"
Ganesh added, tilting his head at the sight of the unfamiliar school uniform.
"Why didn't you tell us about him?"
Jothi pressed, stepping closer to the water's edge as if the boy might answer her directly.
Their voices overlapped,
Questions tumbling out in a mix of confusion, curiosity, and a hint of accusation.
Parvathi simply watched them, her worried smile never fading, as Rudra's reflection in the water continued his antics—
This time, swapping a classmate's backpack with one stuffed full of water balloons.
Parvathi let out a slow breath, her gaze softening as she looked at each of her children.
Sigh~
"Your guess is right,"
She said gently.
"He is your brother… living now, in the age of Kali Yuga.(Present Age...)"
The words struck them like a sudden clap of thunder.
"____"
"____"
"____"
Ganesha's eyes widened.
Ashoka Sundari's lips parted in disbelief.
Jothi froze, her hands hovering above the water as if touching it might make the image vanish.
Kartikeya was the first to break the heavy silence.
He stepped forward, his voice sharp with both shock and hurt.
"Why would they do that to him mother… our brother? your son?"
His question hung in the air, the reflection of Rudra in the water—
laughing as he tied two classmates' shoelaces together—
Feeling almost unbearably out of place against the tension around the pond.
Hearing Kartikeya's outburst, the others felt the weight of his worry.
They understood all too well what his words meant.
In the age of Kali Yuga,
The divine knowledge once entrusted to humanity would be erased—
By humans themselves.
It was an era steeped in poison, betrayals, and endless cruelty…
A time when trust was a dangerous luxury.
No sane parent, let alone a god, would willingly place their child in such a world.
And yet, their brother was there.
Ganesha's trunk shifted slightly,
A rare flicker of unease passing over his calm face.
Ashoka Sundari clasped her hands together tightly,
While Jothi's brow furrowed,
Frown~
As if she were fighting to understand the reasoning behind such a choice.
Parvathi let out a long, quiet sigh, her gaze softening as she looked at each of her children.
Sigh~
"Just as each of you has your own purpose behind your birth,"
She said gently,
"your brother too has his own reason for being born."
Her words carried a weight that silenced them.
"You will understand it,"
She continued,
"when the time is right… as the years pass and the threads of fate reveal themselves."
Though her tone was calm,
There was an unspoken depth in her eyes—
Something she wasn't ready to share yet.
Ganesha tilted his head slightly, curiosity flickering in his eyes.
"Then… what is our brother's name, Mother?"
He asked.
Parvathi's lips curved into a small, knowing smile.
A soft chuckle escaped her as if she were savoring the sound before speaking.
Chuckle~
"Rudra,"
She said warmly, the name rolling off her tongue with a quiet reverence.
The siblings exchanged glances—
"____"
"____"
"____"
Each silently testing the unfamiliar name in their minds, feeling the weight it carried.
Karthekeya's brows furrowed, his voice thoughtful.
Frown~
"Rudra… a name represent father's fierc form. It suits someone destined to stand against the darkness of Kali Yuga."
Ganesha tapped his tusk, his tone more measured.
"Yet it also means the howling one… a force that can heal or destroy. A balance of wrath and compassion."
Ashoka Sundari's eyes softened.
"It sounds… lonely. As if he must carry a burden none of us can see yet."
Jothi tilted her head, a faint smile on her lips.
"Or perhaps it's a name that will one day shake the heavens themselves."
Parvathi only listened, her expression calm yet unreadable,
As if she already knew which of them was closest to the truth.
