Chapter 29 - KAKASHI'S TRAINING

{KAKASHI}

"Good morning, Yaze-sensei" Kakashi greeted after meeting Yaze by the gate.

It has almost been a week since his battle at the beach and because of how it ended, he was forced to train with Yaze till the exchange program.

"We'll be heading somewhere to train" Yaze informed and jumped on top of the gate. "Follow me!"

_Not this again!_

As they arrived at the forest.

"Why don't we rest for a while" Yaze said and sat down on a log as he adjusted his headset and scrolled through his phone.

"I want to start now" Kakashi complained. But to be honest, he just wanted to end it as soon as possible.

"If you say so" Yaze stood up and pocketed his phone. "Hmm, I'm not really sure what to teach you. You already know how to punch and kick, so I'll just have to test you first"

"What kind of test?"

Suddenly the sweet chirping of the birds in the forest turned into aggressive growling. A large group of demons struggled their way to them.

"Let's see how long you'll last" Yaze jumped on top of a tree branch and sat down, leaving Kakashi to the monsters.

"Don't you think this is going a little bit too far!" Kakashi yelled.

"I don't" Yaze answered briefly. "Beside, I won't know what to teach you if I don't know what you already know. I'm going to observe you and I'll grade you according to your performance"

"Okay" Kakashi turned to the demon, they didn't seem too intelligent, so he was sure it was going to be an easy fight.

It's been several minutes and Kakashi was starting to think Yaze wants to kill him.

A demon jumped at Kakashi with it's mouth wide open but Kakashi was able to dodge it and jumped backwards.

Another demon attacked Kakashi but he dodged and held it's neck and threw it back at the rest.

Kakashi suddenly felt dizzy and fell down, all the demons took it as an opportunity to attack all at once. Kakashi fearfully covered his face but nothing happened.

He slowly opened his face and saw the demons struggling to move, something seems to be holding them back.

"What's that?" Kakashi asked as his eyes caught on to some strings that were tied to the demon.

He stood up while carefully tracing where the strings came from and it ended on Yaze's hand. Yazw was using the stringy to hold back all the demons.

"That was pathetic" Yaze remarked made Kakashi angry, but he didn't do anything because it was true. Yaze tied the strings to a branch on the tree before jumping down which draws the demons attention as the attack him instead but couldn't reach him either. "They are only lower second rank demons and you manage to dispatch four out of thirty"

"I'm not really used to fighting" Kakashi replied.

"Maybe it's because you don't see a reason why or you're afraid"

"What do you mean?"

"When you faced up with that demon at shinjuku, you were really pumped up and they was a life at stake" Yaze explained. "The fire that was in your eyes back then is not there anymore"

Kakashi walked to a stomp and sat down, trying to relax but the growling of demons made it impossible.

"Tell me, what's your dream?"

"My... Dream?" Kakashi asked. Dreams was something Kakashi had never had, at least not after all he has witness.

When he was younger he had always wanted to explore the outside world, he wanted to see places like the great wall of China, the statue of Liberty and many other places but he ended up in a lab. After the deaths of his friends, dreams wasn't something he hold in his heart anymore, except for one thing, but he wasn't sure if that was a dream.

"I... I've never really thought about it, but... I want to find my sister!"

"That's is not a dream, it's a goal" Yaze lectured. "Goal are short term while dream last forever. Even though you know you can't achieve it, you will still try and keep aiming for it no matter what"

The last statement rang like a bell in Kakashi's mind, goal are short term while dream last forever. There was only one thing that came to his mind.

"Then, I want to create a world where everyone can live together in harmony" I declared. "A world with no war, no demon. A world where everyone can live in peace!"

That wasn't a dream he had wanted for his self, but instead for his mother. He has once heard her saying something like that.

_"A world where everybody can live in peace"_ That was exactly his mother words, but he couldn't remember the question he asked her that produced that answer.

"A world with no war, no demon. You remind me of myself when I was younger" for the first time, Kakashi witness Yaze smiling as he patted his head. "But fighting like that won't help you achieve it"

"You said something about me being scared" Kakashi asked.

Yaze nodded and took a step back. "Attack me"

"Huh?"

"I said attack me"

"I-if you say so" Kakashi took a battle stance, clenched his fist and tried to punch Yaze.

"And use your technique" Yaze added.

"Are you sure?"

Yaze nodded.

"Here I go!" Gathering as much karma as possible in his fist, Kakashi was able to land a devastating blow on Yaze. The whole forest erupted with his karma, covering them with dust, as the dust clears out Kakashi noticed that Yaze had blocked it with his palm without even moving an inch. "How did you do that!?, How is that even possible?"

"That's because you held back" Yaze said as he dusted the dirt off his uniform. "I told you to use your technique"

"My technique makes it impossible to attack humans without killing them or causing grave damage" Kakashi said. "That's why I didn't use my technique at the people that attacked at the beach"

"You seem to have a great control when it's come to karma manipulation, why don't we work on that instead"

Yaze walked up to the tree and punched it, at first nothing happened but after a few seconds a large force of karma blew passed Kakashi and the tree fell down.

"D-Did you just use only your Karma?" Kakashi was visibly shocked.

"Yes, it's a technique I came up with. Divergent fist, You gather Karma on your fist then you attack by releasing the karma in raw form instead of converting it" Yaze explained "Try it"

"O-okay" Kakashi answered and punched the oak tree, backing the attack with his karma.

"Ouch!!!" Kakashi held his hand in pain, there was a little mark on the tree. "It's harder than I thought"

"No, you're just doing it the wrong way" Yaze walked up to the tree and punched it.

A large force of karma blew passed Kakashi and the tree fell down.

_Yaze was really strong, just as Natski had said.

"You punch first without using much of your karma then you release it with full force to cause extra damage" Yaze explained. "It's all about precision. Do you get it?, Punch first without karma, then release it"

"Okay!"

Kakashi walked to another tree. Yaze backed off a little then sat on one of the fallen tree's trunk and continued with his phone, he didn't even look at his student.

"And try yelling 'divergent fist', it's makes it look cooler"

"DIVERGENT FIST!!!!'/"

The impact from the punch was so strong that the tree fell ten metres away from it's trunk.

"How about that, sensei?" Kakashi yelled proudly.

Yaze looked up then continued with his pressing his phone.

"Huh?. Aren't you going to say anything?" Kakashi yelled.

"Eighty percent"

"What do you mean by that?"

"I score you eighty percent out of hundred"

"What about the rest twenty?" Kakashi said angrily but Yaze kept quiet. "Come on, say something!"

Yaze kept his phone and adjusted his headset.

"The eighty percent is for a successful punch, you missed the rest twenty because you used too much karma in that attack, if you keep that up, you'll end up exhausting your karma which makes you vulnerable to attacks from your opponent. You have to always maintain a certain amount of karma when you're in a battle, or else what happened at the beach will repeat itself"

"You knew about that!?"
