Chapter 308 - Blackwood 1

POV: Chris –

They called it The Greatest Riot in History.

And yet, here I stood—unshaken. Not because I was invincible, but because I refused to be broken. The world around me burned, the people screamed for justice, and my empire, the one I bled to build, was on the brink of collapse.

I had given them structure.

I had given them order.

I had given them a world where everyone knew their place.

But they didn't want order—they wanted freedom. Chaos masquerading as liberty.

"They scream because they are scared," I whispered, pacing in the throne chamber, lit dimly in red. The screens around me showed every corner of the Blackwood Empire—fires, protests, flags being burned with my face on them.

I tapped a button. The table lit up with profiles—leaders of the protest, voices loud enough to shift mountains. The poor, the rich turned rebels, even children from First-Class families.

I sat.

I stared at the seal on the floor. Blackwood Eternal.

And then I stood again.

"Amara," I said calmly, as she walked in, her face streaked with sweat and ash from calming the festival crowd. "Send this order out."

She froze. "A new law?"

I turned slowly to her. "No. A command."

Her eyes widened slightly. "What... command?"

I smiled faintly. "Shut. Them. Down."

Broadcast from Blackwood 1, live across all Empire screens:

> "This is your God speaking. I gave you a name. I gave you numbers. I gave you identity.

You rejected structure.

You rejected peace.

You rejected me.

So now—you will have silence.

From this moment on, any protester, any rebel, any soul who dares stand against the system, will be treated not as a citizen... but as an enemy of the Empire.

The Auction continues. The numbers stand. The Order holds.

There shall be no names.

No chaos.

No mercy.

This is not democracy. This is dominion."

Back in the chamber

The room fell into silence. Not even the hum of the surveillance systems dared to speak.

Amara stared at me. "You're not afraid they'll destroy everything?"

I turned to her, my expression unreadable. "If the world must burn to be reborn, so be it. But when it rises… it will still rise under the name Blackwood."
