Chapter 277 - chapter 77

Hamar held his hand and flexed his fingers, "So why is it? And what does causality have to do with it?" He gently moved his hand out to pierce the 'wall' with ease.

"Let me ask you a question, who is more important? A farmer...or a king?" Elder Future Stillness gestured to Hamar.

"A king...right?"

"And a king has to noble and righteous otherwise he'd become a tyrant and be killed...so what happens when the king needs to do something that would go against this?"

Hamar opened his mouth but before he could say anything, Elder Future Stillness continued, "A king needs to save his son but he is drowning in mud, diving into which would ruin his noble image....that is an unseen rule. The kingship gives him power, or his power derived from his kingship...but because of that very same source of power, he becomes restricted."

"So your saying that causality it's like kingship?" Hamar raised an eyebrow and thought back to a different kind of energy that was royal... His golden energy, authority.

Elder Future Stillness has been walking around slowly but just then... He stopped. He paused for a few seconds with a vacant expression and when he continued to move he smiled ever so slightly. "No, no... I'm saying causality is more like 'importance'." He took a breath and pointed to Hamar playfully, "Here's another question, who determines importance?"

Hamar mellowed his expression and closed his eyes. He thought about the question and gave his response, "In the context of 'causality' it would be the world, right?"

"Yes and to the world I am the king of this land. The king of Future...Stillness. The king who cannot leave their own domain, and that is the reason for my inability to leave. So you ask, what IS casualty?"

Hamar opened up, his question was soon to be answered. He pulled his hand out of the 'wall' and focused on Elder Future Stillness' next words.

"Causality is... The force that makes gravity push water down a riverbed, the force that stops a stone from thinking, that makes the sun shine bright but never fall. It is... The very being of the world. It is the cause of an effect."

He paused.

Something like a lightning bolt hit his consciousness as a revelation formed within his mind. Hamar squinted his eyes, "It's..." He lifted up a fist and from it water shot out, forming itself into the shape of a sword.

He held the sword of flowing waters and looked towards Elder Future Stillness, "The Dao... The way that all is...IS." he raised the sword and let it fall gently. As it fell down the air, it slowed and the water reshaped turning itself into the shape of a river. Hamar held his hand over the top of the river and from the very centre of his being he felt his inner true world rumble.

He held out a single finger and a drop of pure white condensed, it shone like the sun. Hamar smiled and spoke to himself under his breath, "A True World needs time to gain life... And within a still world there is no cause or effect."

The drop of causality fell onto the river and the waters stopped flowing downwards. At first they stopped altogether but then the waters reversed their flow and begun to rise. Hamar felt his Sword Soul tighten, it was a portion of his soul and now after forming his inner true world with his Nascent Soul, he needed to reunite the two parts. The river reversed flow then turned into the shape of a sword again pointing the opposite direction. Hamar chuckled and pulled back, causing the sword to stop himself in the heart.

He fell back in a stagger and fell through the 'wall' that stopped Elder Future Stillness, "Do not Worry Elder. You have helped me immensely, bye."

Hamar fell back, out of the secluded realm. As his Sword Soul fragment containing the Time Pool was flowing back into his main soul he felt his causality drain. He begun to understand that the inner true world was like a title. It would give him immense authority within the world but at the same time he would need to give back to maintain it.

"A king needs to be a good ruler or his title is meaningless." Hamar fell through the sky and timed at high speeds.

Hamar moved his body, using his immense strength to overcome the friction of the air. He flashed himself, stabilizing his trajectory. He closed his eyes and while talking he felt his inner true world and knew what he needed. He looked forwards and found his aura, settled within his physical body. He pushed the aura into his feet and kicked off the air, causing himself to fly into the ground. He flew through many layers of dirt and rock before he stopped.

He stepped onto the surface and looked up, he squinted trusts the sky seeing nothing. He smiled, "It's just like the Miasma butler said...It's gone. I have some vague memories but they look like any other place in the world." His smile stopped and he let a single tear fall down his cheek, "But I'm not alone. Goodbye Elder, let's hope I succeed, thank you."

Hou was a special being in this world and given this reason and causality, he could be free from the effects of the enchantment around Elder Future Stillness' future domain. As soon as Hamar excited, Hou noticed the missing memories and sent what he had into Hamar's mind. They were a combined force yet also separate, two consciousness' in one vessel.

Hamar spoke aloud, "I'll have over control to you buddy, with your magic and contact master. We don't have much time if we want to join the fight and get your main body back."

Hou agreed, "Thank you, don't worry we'll succeed. I'm sure it it. I've actually thought of an idea... It came to me like a sort of revelation earlier."
