Hamar decided that if he were to spend 100 years in a plain void, it would be best if he did something to occupy himself, he can't cultivate all day. He pulled out a large scroll which he had on him and also a pen, an artifact which contained enough ink laws that it should last 100 years of used sparingly.
He twirled the brush in his hands a few moments before he unfurled the scroll a little and splat down the brush. He moved it across the page and started writing:
Day 1: I cultivated for I don't know, a few hours? It's hard to tell time when you have no outside reference. The mana here is very pure.
…
Day xx: It's interesting, without laws my cultivation feels so much different. Laws are made of mana so I guess having so many of them would disturb and dilute the mana? Anyway, I found out them time laws don't work the same since they haven't been affecting my cultivation.
…
Day xx: I've decided to give Hou some time every once in a while to experiment. He's a part of my strength, if he can get stronger, then that will only help me.
…
Day xxx: Hou's been experimenting with time laws, the time pool in my sword soul has been of great help.
…
Day xxx: my mana has reached a threshold, soon I feel it will need to evolve. I hope it doesn't cause trouble to the time chamber; or would my tribulation build up until I leave?
…
Day xxx: I passed another breakthrough. No tribulation still, hopefully I haven't troubled Elder Future Stillness too much...I think I'll make updates sparser, the scroll only has so much space.
…
Day xxx: I've experimented with my new aura, it's interesting. It was a colourless almost-liquid substance before but now it's become invisible and more gaseous.
…
Day xxx: I feel something interesting coming up soon, my experiments with this new type of aura has given rise to something unexpected.
…
Day xxxx: I've finally done it! I finally got it to work! These Yin-Yang Reversal Crystal bones are even more useful...to think I can take advantage of the Reversal property to do this...It'll take a while longer to really make use of it.
…
Day xxxxx: it's worked...I have an imbalance of Yin and Yang which causes my Yin-Yang Reversal state to have massive downsides but now...to explain it briefly, I used the state as is to reverse my Yin into Yang and study it.
As I comprehended the laws, my new aura could more easily take its form. I suspect that I should be able to hold onto this new form for at least a day at max capacity, and Hou has been experimenting to make it work for longer. I'll test it soon.
…
Day xxxxx: I did it, no we did it. The form is complete, though we've come up with a way to make it permanent, but...Hou isn't sure whether it would work entirely. He wants to use our quasi-Nascent Soul and absorb the aura.
This would therefore make the aura into something else, I can't remember what he called it. He said that he felt like he remembered something he had forgotten...I'll write it down when I remember.
…
Day xxxxxx: I suspect I might be able to fight on par with my master...but also for some reason, I feel like it's been longer than 100 years.
I've broken through another 2 times. My aura hasn't had any qualitative change, but it's strength is much much stronger.
…
Day xxxxxx: Something definitely feels off, despite this we went through with the earlier plan. Tomorrow I'm going to mix the aura with our Nascent Soul. Hou says he's worried since he formed the Nascent Soul as a Mage and Cultivator, he suspects aura could completely destroy the balance and...well, the results wouldn't be good.
…
Day xxxxxx: I...understand. I had been a frog in a well, looking at the sky yet unaware of the ocean beyond...
We did what we planned to do. And we formed a new substance, and this substance has opened my eyes...
Causality. That's the name.
I'll let Hou take over now but...it's beautiful.

It was interesting, one day it felt like something like a pressure was suddenly released and I had a thought pop into my mind. Not just one thought but many of them. And in those memories I was speaking to someone, I can't quite recall still...They explained to me this world, and in that explanation this Causality played a large part.
The whole of everything is like a sea, and in that sea were many different 'worlds'. Because of this, this figure, he told me that was called the 'Sea of Worlds' and that mana was not the be-all-end-all of the Sea of Worlds. In fact, mana was just in a certain type of world. Some worlds had no mana, some worlds worked on different things. Whether that be fundamental laws, trust, thoughts, wills. To me they are mere portions of the world, but to others...to others, they ARE the world.
This already caused me much thinking but another memory came to me which explained the only fundamental between all in the Sea of Worlds.
Causality.
Causality was what meant that rocks would fall because of gravity because of gravity laws because of mana, etc...
Causality was, in a way, the Dao that was explained to me by Master. My masters told me about the Dao and I bought I understood it...but it seems my conception of 'The Dao' was merely 'a dao' of the greater piece. The point is, this world, and any other, functions on causality. Causality isn't exactly an energy. Causality however can allow anything to happen through causes.
Aaaand, when I combined aura (a fundamental cause of this world, or rather the cause of a new world. In a way. Hamar is his own world) with the Nascent Soul which also tried to be it's own world...
Well, I created, no we created. Both me and Hamar. We created a true, new world. And as a new world, we were given our own causality by the Sea of Worlds.
