Hamar and Yan set off, without informing the sect of the information they found. Yan tried to find out why Hamar didn't want to contact them but he simply brushed her off saying that this is what is meant to happen.
It took a week to get close to their location. On the way, the two had recovered their mental energy reserves well. They would be ready for a large fight, having the energy to fight back. Yan only needed mental energy to manipulate her laws and Qi, Hamar however needed to recover more than that. He continued to absorb mana and transmute it into his own aura.
Along the way he found out two new developments he linked to his slow body reformation. Firstly, because of the Reversal Crystal bones his speed at absorbing mana was much faster and his conversion rate allowed him to recover faster. Secondly, he touched his naval area and flinched. He had tried to use his connection to Hou but he found that as his body reformation became stronger, the connection would weaken. He calculated that by the time he finishes he body reformation or even before that, the connection would be completely eroded.
"I'll need to use the laws while I can, soon enough I'll barely be able to access the laws and have to rely on my own aura entirely."
This was an issue for Hamar as all of his big attacks were relying on Hou's laws to supercharge his own power. This was mostly because of his aura reserves being constantly drained, though that was now somewhat mitigated from the increased speed of absorption.
Once they could see the dessert start to change and become lush, Hamar pulled up the map within his mind.
"This is the place, further on and we'll find 'Time Pool ', be on guard from now on."
Yan nodded and looked into the horizon, "My intuition is warning me...this will be dangerous. It's best to leave Lassy here, from now on we go on foot."
Hamar paused for a moment before agreeing, he hopped off Lassy and stared into the forest, "Are you able to create a formation to protect her?"
Yan guffawed, "As if that was a question, especially with your help in Reversal Crystal experiments. I should be able to fashion a formation that is powered by the natural crystals surrounding."
Hamar smiled, "Perfect, tell me when you're done. I have something I need to do," and then he pointed out towards a cliff edge. Yan nodded and held Lassy's reigns, bring her back.
Hamar sat down cross-legged and closed his eyes. He carefully pulled out the map and looked down, "Echoes of the Past..." Then he simply looked out to the horizon.
He sent a pin prick of golden energy into his eyes, not yet activating his Yin and Yang state but simply using a small amount of his strongest energy. Then he tried to tap into that Yin Yang force without fully activating and permanent power, after a moment he coughed up a mouthful of blood and hit the ground.
"Interesting...my theory was right. Even if I haven't entered the Yin Yang state I can enter, just having the technique has improved my comprehension. And if I use a small amount of royal energy, it allows me to use Yin Yang as a tool to peer into secrets of the world."
He smiled and turned back, while shouting, "One enemy, strong! And...a secluded realm which will supress your laws!"
Yan came running back, out of breath she asked, "A secluded realm? I won't ask how you find out but will we be able to stay outside it while remaining undetected? I could set up a formation around it to draw them out of their best environment!"
Hamar chuckled, "I don't think so, but...I have a feeling that that isn't what we were supposed to do."
"Supposed to do?"
Instead of answering, Hamar turned around and meditated to absorb even more aura. His reserves could grow much larger after absorbing the Reversal Crystal bones. Yan sighed and turned around, continuing her formation to protect Lassy. While doing so, she thought about what Hamar said, how did he find this out.
Back to Hamar, he waited until Yan was a good distance away before coughing out another mouthful of blood.
"Hopefully this gets better as I reform my body..." He wiped his mouth and touched his forehead where a golden symbol appeared.
"Still enough to activate the Yin Yang state for two breaths, that's enough..." He clutched his heart, "I shouldn't be too careless again, my aura is going wild just from peering through the world for a moment."
He thought back to The Oracle, is this what they felt like? Hamar put aside his thoughts and used the time Yan was using to calm his aura and get as ready as he can for a possible fight.
If he was right about the map's contents then the 'Time Pool' was Yi Sect's and would be guarded by someone from them. That meant there would be little chance of talking his way out of anything. He didn't want to fight this time, instead she was more focused on the words it said on the other side of the map "Echoes of the Past".
The rest of that side of the map was filled with different places names. Names like "Sight Cave" and such. He could only assume this was the places The Oracle was saying he was fated to become stronger. Some places were self explanatory, "Sight Cave" would help him develop his sight. But "Echoes of the Past", he couldn't think of what that would do exactly. But that didn't mean he was scared, no, instead of being scared he was excited.
"No matter the challenge, I'll take it and grow!" He squeezed his fists and punched the air in front of him, which caused him to cough again.
He felt his chest, "Maybe after I recover more..."
