He rubbed the token and inserted some mental energy, "three more times..."
Hamar put away the token from Night Sky and held out his hand, speaking to the dragon coiling around his arm, "you have a connection to Death Dao you say? Then your comprehension of bad luck should be fairly good, right, since you said they're closely related?"
The snake seemed to squint, "Better than you maybe"
"Perfect, can you detect any significant bad luck laws around me now, with my comprehension I can't even detect them at all"
The dragon flicked its tongue in the air then scanned Hamar's body. It turned it's head up, "There are some remaining bad luck laws from that bead, yes."
"Not a significant amount though, and you say misfortune can turn to fortune if you handle it well...I'll keep it here for now."

"Dammit, this...it's that Blood Meat gang's treasury! And if I'm right, then that means Si Tai is behind that door!"
The female informant of the Night Sky instantly became panicked. She quickly looked over the treasury, hoping for some kind of weapon or treasure to help her escape.
She felt the fluctuations grow stronger, "Luckily, it seems the barrier around here keeps energies inside from going outside but not the other way around, otherwise Si Tai would've found me instantly."
She looked up at the hole she fell through, "Why is there a whole in such a strong barrier?! Did I get caught up in the machinations of an enemy to the Blood Meat gang..."
She bit her fingernails as she continued to scam the treasury. There was many spirit stones, spirit spins, many laws and various ingredients used for treasure making or alchemy but...nothing useful to her right now.
Finally she saw a scroll in a corner. She quickly ran over and held the scroll. She held her fingers out in front of her face and tapped her glabella, activating a quick investigative technique.
"Dammit the seal is quite strong, I can barely make anything out!"
She scrambled back and took a few ingredients that were eased for alchemy and sacrificed them to create an alchemical formation that would temporarily weaken the seal, allowing her to learn to use of the scroll.
She formed the basic formation with etchings on the floor and mental energy, then she placed the ingredients in place. She burned some herbs with fire laws then injected water with infiltration laws.
The formation burned up and she threw in the scroll. In that moment, the sea weakened and she could use her techniques to understand the scroll.
"Instant teleportation?! To where...."
She could find out the use but before she could find where it would teleport her, her makeshift formation broke apart.
The fluctuations outside had become too strong and she decided the risk was worth it. She opened the scroll and watched as the ink flew of the page and wrapped around her.
She thought back to what she knew about teleportation scrolls and gathered it might teleport her to a place she thinks about.
On her mind was that important VIP she had just met, he had just told her to be careful! He must know something, and he must be strong if he's a VIP!
"Please help me..." She crossed her finger then in a dark flash of anti-light vanished. At the same time, the door opened and a man took a step in.
He froze and licked his lips, "It seems there's been a rat in here...You can't hide darkness laws from the Monarch of Dark Blood, Si Tai!"
The man held out his hand and the shadows around the room shook. The moved and reformed into a scene, a young woman and a scroll.
He smiled faded as he looked around the room, "The Grand Life Crystal is gone..."
He smiled crazily and then squeezed his hand into a fist, the shadows all submitted and then they all burst into a viscous blood like substance which shot off through the hole in the light.
"Don't think you'll escape so easily, no matter where you run, don't think I can't get you"
***
"Please save me!" The young woman was prostrate on the floor.
Hamar watched in horror as she had appeared and instantly asked him to save her. He was shocked at how she could get past his aura barrier so easily, that barrier was instantly broke and he felt a chill run down his spine.
"What do you mean? Why are you here?"
"That's not important! When I was going back to Night Sky I tripped and fell into some bodies treasury and stole a scroll to escape..." She bit her lip and her fingers dug into the floorboards.
"And there is more?"
"It wasn't just any treasury, it was Blood Meat gang's, it was the horrid Si Tai!"
"Si Tai..." Hamar had heard the name said in ushered whispers as he went to get I tot his inn, "Who is he?"
"H-he's a very strong cultivator! Nobody knows why he's here with a small gang, not even us Night Sky! We suspect he might be from a major clan given his strength."
"Hmm then should we not be able to reason with him?"
"Reason?! Not a chance, he's known for brutality, and I stole so brazenly! You must help me escape or defend against him!"
She looked up to Hamar with expectant eyes. He turned away and his arms flexed, he was stuck.
'Do I help, or run? I always want to help but...I don't want to die either...'
The dragon hidden in his robe spoke, "This is the fault of that bad luck, even a small amount might accidently cause such a bad result."
Hamar flexed his arms, reaching for his scabbard. Then he froze, not because of fear but he couldn't physically move.
A strong sense of danger descended upon him and a dark shadow filled the sky. The sky rumbled and the air itself shook, "Where are you thief?"
A calm voice called out, not angry but somehow scarier because of that calmness. Hamar circulated his aura and could move lightly, he dragged out a slip from his robe.
Using a large amount of aura to supress the effect of Si Tai, Hamar crushed the slip. A small wisps of purple miasma curled out and then fell to the ground.
It shook a small amount then it exploded with strength and formed into the shape of Hamar's master, Elder Mo Huai.
Hamar could barely move, his entire being was getting crushed, "E-Escape!"
The miasma noticed what was happening and even it shivered, it held Hamar's hand and squeezed. The miasma infiltrated his body and kept his aura at bay.
The miasma burst in a pink light and Hamar vanished, leaving the informant from Night Sky on the floor almost dead from Si Tai's mere aura.
The roof of the inn flew off and the informant could only move her eyes, seeing Si Tai descend from the sky.
He walked lightly onto the floorboards next to her and placed his foot upon her back.
"Where. Is. The. Life Crystal?"
A large amount of blood shot out of the woman's mouth and she died from the constant pressure. Si Tai's fists tightened and he raise this arm up, causing the girls body to be sent into a dark dimension within his shadow.
He nose flared and he sniffed lightly, "Miasma...Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect? Are they the ones that stole the Grand Life Crystal?"
