The next day they were all called to a new room in the mansion. It was an under croft with a large open area and high ceilings.
"Today we'll learn about fighting in enclosed spaces. Power isn't about raw strength, it's a out your application. If you guys don't learn to supress power, you'll bury yourself in this under croft."
Master Sheng then cut his hand and blood flower out and formed a copy of himself. He then threw it into the middle of the room,
"This is a clone, I want you all to try your best to do one attack on it. Do not worry to supress yourself, your biggest attack. Then I will help you individually to keep the power but reduce the footprint if the attack"
Then a random person spoke up,
"Who goes first?"
"How about a raffle, everyone writes down their name and we pick randomly from a hat. Here, everyone come up and write your name. Then tear off a piece of the paper and put it into the hat."
He took off the hat he was wearing, a large top hat, and released his shiny jet black hair. He placed it down and pulled out paper and a pen out of nowhere.
And so everyone came up, wrote their name down, tore off that name and placed it into the hat. Then Master Sheng shuffled the hat and pulled out a random name.
"Hu Li!"
Hou then stepped forward, facing the clone body,
"So I just attack it the strongest I can think of?"
"Yes that's all, don't think about restraining yourself"
Hou nodded then tried to think of his strongest ability. First he thought of the Bloodbane ring, which could have potential to be his strongest but it was far too sealed.
Then he thought of the Flowing Divine Script which could be used for attack but it's better for support than anything. Then he turned to his laws, thinking of the strongest and most destructive.
"Maybe sun laws.... Or would it be sword laws? I should be able to combine them. Although he said my strongest attack, I don't want to use all my laws up, so I'll just do one reasonably strong attack"
First, Hou started to circulate his sword laws, then he spoke to Yue,
"The Bloodbane ring creates a slash of blood right? Could I combine that with other laws?"
"Hmm, I would've said no when it was a spirit but now that it had changed, I highly suspect it can be used in combination. Circulate your laws into the ring, and I'll try to activate them at the same time"
Hou nodded and used sword laws firstly, he though of his impression of the sword. Highly cutting, strong, the symbol of power. Slicing and unstoppable. He took inspiration from Hamar's swordsmanship and that helped form his impression.
This then, helped to show his expression of the sword, as a highly cutting slash. But that was not all, then Hou started to circulate his sun laws.
He thought of his impression of the sun, the heat, the light, the pure destructive power contained only by the atmosphere. He thought of his powerful fire can be, and how the sun is incomprehensibly stronger so.
Then he used that impression to form his expression of pure melting power. Then he circulated the laws into the Bloodbane ring. All the while, the laws were being amplified and strengthened by the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique.
Then Hou finished circulating the laws and raised his hand. With a fist he punched in the air towards Master Sheng's clone body.
For a moment nothing happened until the blood red ring on his finger moved. The dragon became alive and coiled before opening it's mouth and launching a shape.
First, it drew blood from Hou. The dark black blood with specks of rainbow colours. That blood formed the basis, a round cutting shape. But then the sword laws formed something similar to aura, Hamar's aura highly influencing his expression.
This caused the blade to gain a glowing edge shortly after being shot out. All the while. It let out an oppressive heat that would melt things in contact.
While Hou used a compatibly small amount of laws, the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique caused those little claws to have a big effect.
The oppressively hot blade of black blood quickly shot forth and cut through the air. A sonic boom shook everyone in the small undercroft. It cut through the air and sliced right through Master Sheng and melted his clone body into a mist of red blood.
Bit since Master Sheng said not to hold back, it did not stop there. Then it went right through, losing little power and cut though the building and melted stone to magma.
But Master Sheng saw this and shout out blood from his open wound from earlier, the blood coiling mid-air to become a dragon.
It transformed into a dragon which bit into the bloody melting blade. Then he used a technique and the dragon lurched and the blade shattered. Hou's attack was much stronger than anyone, even Master Sheng had expected,
"No need to use that much laws though..."
Everyone had though that Hou wasted a lot of laws when really he used quite a bit but not as many as one would think. Still it did take a till on him and he did sit down to recover his me talking energy.
Master Sheng felt bad about wasting what he thought would be a lot of laws by saying not to restrain and said to Hou,
"Talk to me privately about which sort of laws you used, I'll reimburse you with some materials or pills to replenish them"
He then spoke to the whole group,
"Okay, restrain yourself! Just not to a large extent, the strongest attack you would normally use that isn't a final one."
The crowd nodded, still somewhat awestruck by the destructive power they felt from Hou's attack. The sonic boom, the heat, the shear destruction they saw; their impression of Hou was risen.
