"Damn, did I just copy the Phoenix Force?"

"Wait! Is this the real deal or just a mental projection? Is it tied to emotions?"

Norin was stunned. The Phoenix Force. Even a fragment could destroy worlds.

In the X-Men universe, if Jean could fully control the Phoenix, she'd be unstoppable.

Apocalypse? Sentinels? No matter how many came, they'd be obliterated.

But Charles' mistake—blocking instead of guiding Jean—turned the Phoenix into the Dark Phoenix. It controlled Jean, killing Scott and countless others.

In the end, she held back and let Wolverine kill her.

Otherwise, how could the Sentinels have taken over?

No matter how many ants there were, they were still ants. Even a fraction of the Phoenix's power could annihilate them.

And now, a kiss had given Norin a piece of the Phoenix.

This was awkward.

Was this creation out of nothing? Or a fragment from another universe?

The Phoenix Force, shattered into countless pieces across the multiverse, had a fixed number of fragments.

But now, one had been copied... Was it still a true fragment?

Moreover, this fragment showed no signs of sentience or malice.

Norin felt no urge to control him.

There was no mental cage restraining it.

It was a truly free fragment of the Phoenix.

Whenever Norin wanted, he could unleash its power.

"So… Zod's not a problem anymore?"

Norin didn't know the upper limits of a single Phoenix fragment, but he could feel its immense energy.

The key was,

The Phoenix Force symbolized heart and emotion.

It was pure psychic energy.

Superman had some mental resistance, but it was weaker than his physical defenses.

Zod, weaker than Superman and without sun absorption, had even less resistance to psychic powers.

Not to mention, the Phoenix could manipulate matter at the subatomic level, even altering elements—like Sersi of the Eternals.

Killing Zod the moment he arrived on Earth shouldn't be hard, right?

So, how much had their odds improved?

Eighty percent? Ninety?

Norin wasn't sure. The only thing he was sure of was that he needed Jean.

She was a "gold mine." He had to hold on tight.

He wondered if his ability could enhance the Phoenix's power through closer contact.

Probably not.

The Phoenix wasn't Jean's power or genetic ability. It was a pure energy entity.

But... would closer contact count as being with Jean or the Phoenix?

If it's the Phoenix... well, maybe there's a way to transform into an energy life form? That'd increase the chances, right?

"Norin…"

Jean kissed him more passionately, her body burning, a fire igniting in her heart.

A scent—hormones—emanated from Norin, intoxicating enough to drive any woman wild.

After copying the Phoenix Force, this effect intensified.

Like two powerful magnets, they were drawn together, forgetting they were in a public space.

In the dim light, Jean heard a cry—clear, excited, filled with fiery passion.

She hallucinated, feeling an overwhelming force crashing against her mental barriers, trying to merge with Norin. Something within him called to her.

Norin's expression turned strange. Was his Phoenix male and Jean's female?

Otherwise, why would his Phoenix's presence excite hers so much? Did his Phoenix inherit his abilities?

Shaking his head, Norin stopped guessing. His Phoenix fragment had no consciousness—it was pure energy.

Jean's Phoenix was simply reacting to his presence, causing the violent fluctuations.

He couldn't let Jean lose control. The Phoenix amplified her emotions. If he didn't stop her, she might do something reckless in public.

The crowd outside was already buzzing with jealousy and envy. Some were even eager, rubbing their hands, ready to join.

Their thoughts spilled out. "Hurry up! I can't wait! Can't you see I've blocked the door? No one can see. If you can't do it, let me! I'll take over."

Madness. Absolute madness.

If this continued, it would turn into an open-air spectacle.

And the Dark Phoenix would awaken prematurely.

Norin quickly suppressed his Phoenix, sinking it into the depths of his consciousness to hide its presence.

Jean's will began to return.

But returning to normal wasn't instant.

The world seemed to pause.

The women watching froze, their expressions stuck—excited, crazed, or predatory.

A woman at the front spoke. "Norin, it's Charles. Jean's in bad shape. Bring her back, now."

Norin nodded, holding onto Jean, who clung to his collar. He phased through the crowd, then shot into the sky like a rocket!

Though he hadn't absorbed much sunlight, his speed now reached Mach 3.

This surpassed most modern aircraft.

At 3,672 kilometers per hour, Norin could cross the U.S. from north to south in an hour, and east to west in under two.

He reached Xavier School in less than a minute.

Charles had just erased the onlookers' memories when Norin and Jean landed. He stared, stunned.

"Already here?"

"That was fast!" Charles blurted.

Norin rolled his eyes. "That word doesn't apply to me."

Charles smiled awkwardly, then looked at Jean with concern. "I didn't expect the Phoenix to awaken so soon. I thought we had more time for Jean to learn control."

"You mean this power?"

Norin raised his hand, and a small red phoenix materialized. Though just a fragment, its power was terrifying.

Charles froze, then panicked. "You copied it?!!"
