The meeting with Felix's father took place in one of the smaller reception rooms in the guest house, just as before. Even though it was supposed to be the last day of the 'negotiations', they were still going to do it over a meal, in a more… relaxed atmosphere (at least on the surface). That was because the 'negotiations' weren't framed as 'negotiations' at all, but rather as a 'family meeting' - Felix supposedly had a pup with Kade, so they were 'family', after all. All the talks were conducted more like regular conversations, discussing the future of their children and grandchildren, and so on.
However, just because they were all acting as if they were just having private family discussions, that didn't change much for Felix. Whatever conclusion they would reach, it would be just as binding as the agreement made during negotiations would have been. Everyone treated it seriously.
