"O-oh…" Elsie fiddled with her hands, shifting her weight from one foot to another, her gaze wandering from Caelan to Kade and back. Although she knew that her bunny wasn't on the ground floor, she couldn't exactly admit it in front of the two men! She had no choice but to nod her head and mutter a quiet "Thank you," before running off.
Kade followed her with his eyes until she disappeared on the staircase, and only once her steps had moved far away, did he turn to Caelan. "What are you doing here?"
"Hmm?" Caelan - or Cael, as he was called by most - tilted his head, smiling wickedly. "The same thing as everyone?"
But Kade only scoffed in response, not buying it. "Right. Don't you think I already have enough to deal with?"
"Hahah." Cael chuckled, dropping the act, and let go of Kade's shoulder, taking a step back. "Well, what do you expect? You're hardly at the pack these days, and the mating season is fast approaching, so they are all getting desperate!"
"Ugh…"
