Faced with the Great Toad Sage's sudden enthusiasm, Yami shook his head.
He really wanted to call Madara over and exchange some dancing techniques with the big toad.
But it was too troublesome to go back and find someone now, so he gave up on the idea.
Boom!
The hall that had stood for a thousand years could not withstand the overwhelming momentum and began to collapse from the dome. The giant toad leaped up and rushed out of the hall.
Yami glanced at the broken Buddhist beads on the ground, waved his hand to collect them, and then followed at a leisurely pace.
This bead was quite magical. It completely blocked his perception. When he first entered, he only sensed the Great Toad Sage's massive chakra and did not notice anything unusual about the bead.
Judging by how smoothly the Great Toad Sage absorbed it, the energy stored inside was most likely accumulated over the years.
As expected of a holy land with a history even older than Kaguya-san's arrival in the ninja world, it could still bring out surprises from time to time.
Gulu... Gulu...
The iconic croaking sound of a toad came from the Great Toad Sage's body, his cheeks bulging repeatedly before he suddenly opened his mouth.
"Water Release: Iron Cannonball!"
A massive amount of senjutsu chakra gathered together, and a water bomb with a diameter of more than 100 meters shot toward Yami with a sharp whistle and violent wind pressure.
"Nice chakra. You toads really have a natural advantage in senjutsu."
The huge wind pressure blew through his messy hair. Yami slowly stretched out his hand and spoke softly.
"Fire Release."
A ferocious fire dragon appeared in front of him and slammed into the massive water bomb.
Though their sizes differed by nearly tenfold, the water cannon exploded instantly upon impact. Before it could fully disperse, the scorching heat, enough to distort space itself, completely vaporized the water.
The Sage of Six Paths' face was filled with admiration.
He had never seen this level of ninjutsu from his mother, nor had he ever imagined chakra could unleash such terrifying power.
Even if Uchiha Obito came, he might not be able to use Kamui in this environment, because the distorted space was interfering with it completely.
The Great Toad Sage's expression turned solemn. The water cannon had been torn apart, but the fire dragon did not stop and continued to rush at him with incredible speed.
The Great Toad Sage leaped high with his astonishing jumping ability to evade. The fire dragon crashed heavily into the mountain peak, shattering the towering holy mountain.
At the same time, while in mid-air, the Great Toad Sage spat out a storm of condensed water bullets formed from enormous natural chakra, raining down like a torrential downpour.
Yami had seen the other two sages before, but in terms of pure combat strength, this big toad was still superior. The explosive outburst of natural power accumulated over thousands of years would even move a Six Paths-level powerhouse.
What a pity...
Yami spread his arms, and countless fire dragons, water dragons, earth dragons, and thunder dragons gathered around him. As for the wind dragon, being invisible and colorless, it could not be clearly seen, so he left it aside.
The roars of thousands of dragons echoed throughout Mount Myōboku. The Great Toad Sage's attack was effortlessly nullified, and he himself was now being chased by a swarm of elemental ninjutsu dragons. Yami nodded repeatedly as he watched.
The talent that surpassed even the limit-breaking level was the rules themselves. He could now feel the power of rules. He no longer needed hand seals. As long as he thought about the ninjutsu he wanted to use, chakra would naturally move and form it.
"Maybe we can still play it this way."
Suddenly, a new idea struck him. Yami clenched his hands, merging four elemental dragons together. Their size multiplied several times and their bodies shone with radiant colors.
At the very center of the fire dragon, a milky-white halo emerged.
"Dust Release!"
The Great Toad Sage, who was leaping to avoid the attack, immediately recognized the power and focused all his effort on dodging the enormous dragon.
But no matter how agile a toad was, it could not escape the trap of a true hunter.
Yami covered a large number of ninjutsu dragons with Transparent Release, making them completely invisible and nearly impossible for the Great Toad Sage to perceive.
Puff!
The first earth dragon struck him. The weight, comparable to a mountain, caused the Great Toad Sage to spit blood. Immediately afterward, several other ninjutsu crashed into him.
The Sage of Six Paths shook his head slightly and sighed.
That was the end.
"I'll give you a dignified death."
Seeing the Great Toad Sage's body riddled with wounds, charred and deep enough to expose bone, Yami pointed a single hand toward the sky.
It was as if a second sun rose above. A giant Great Fireball, more than ten kilometers in diameter, condensed within seconds, completely overshadowing the real sun's light.
As Yami's hand lowered, the massive fireball fell as well. Despite its seemingly slow descent, its speed was immense. Surrounded by countless ninjutsu dragons, the Great Toad Sage had no room left to maneuver.
Blinding light engulfed the entire world. The rolling heat wave lasted for dozens of seconds before the smell of smoke filled the air.
Inside the massive crater, the Great Toad Sage's body stood like a charred statue of rock, yet he remained upright.
Yami waved his hand, and a gust of wind blew away all the ashes. Together with the Sage of Six Paths, he flew to the Great Toad Sage's side.
"Protect... my descendants..."
A faint, almost imperceptible sound reached their ears. Only after Yami nodded did the Great Toad Sage's body finally turn to ashes, scattering into the wind.
The atmosphere fell into silence.
"Why do I feel like... a villain?" He pinched his chin, his voice uncertain.
The old toad had died rather heroically, while he himself appeared ruthless.
It had clearly been Mount Myōboku who initiated hostilities first. If it weren't for the earlier incident of borrowing the Sage of Six Paths' natural power, he wouldn't have even taken action despite his dislike of Mount Myōboku.
In the end, it was the old toad who sacrificed himself.
The Sage of Six Paths rolled his eyes silently and said nothing more.
"I have witnessed the end of an old friend, Yami. From here, our paths part."
"Hey, what's the rush?" Yami waved his hand. "I finally came to the living world. Don't bring me things from the Pure Land.
"Come on, come home with me to see your mother. Last time, we left in a hurry and the misunderstanding between you and your son still hasn't been resolved.
"Don't even think about running away. Even if you return to the Pure Land, I can still drag you out."
