Chapter 57 - 57. The Wolf's Sin

What The Fuck!!!

The scene unfolded in the dimly lit storage room. The air was heavy—dust, sweat, and the faint hum of the building's old ventilation filling the silence.

Shan Wolf stood behind Eva Kim, his grip tight on her hips as their bodies moved in a rhythm that made the boxes on the shelves rattle.

Eva's breath came in sharp gasps. Her hands clung to the metal railing for balance as she pressed back against him. "Harder, Boo," she groaned between breaths. "Come on, don't hold back."

"Eva…" Shan's voice was a low growl against her ear.

She turned her head slightly, her hair clinging to her damp skin. "Don't you stop," she hissed. "Don't you dare fucking stop, you beast."

Shan's jaw clenched. He slid one arm around her waist, the other moving up to her throat—not to hurt, but to control, to ground her.

He pulled her upright, their bodies pressed close as his breath fell hot against her neck. She trembled, half from exhaustion, half from the storm of emotion burning between them.

From the corner of the room, Rachel So Mi froze mid-step. Her eyes widened, and her breath hitched.

What the hell…?

She thought.

Is that Shan Wolf?

Her heart pounded as she watched the man she once thought untouchable—the calm, polite, too-damn-perfect gentleman—now lost in raw passion. There was no mask, no control. Just him—rough, desperate, real.

Damn,

Rachel thought, her pulse racing.

He's with Eva. But I didn't think they were like this. Shit… I didn't think he could even be like this.

The sound of a sharp breath cut through the room. Shan's hand tightened briefly, his face buried against Eva's shoulder.

The tension was thick, almost suffocating. Every motion, every gasp, every whispered curse carried weight—like the whole world outside that door had vanished.

Rachel bit her lip and stepped back into the shadows, her thoughts a mess of confusion, curiosity, and something she couldn't quite name.

Gentleman, huh? Guess even the calmest bastard's got a wild side.

Earlier that afternoon

Shan Wolf sat at his desk, the glow of his sleek MSI Titan 19 HX Ai laptop reflecting off his glasses. It was the same laptop Eva had bought him for his birthday a few months back. He scrolled lazily through the official smartphone stores online, his brow furrowed.

"Sheesh," he muttered under his breath. "They're all too damn expensive. Even with two billion won in my account—thanks to my little 'Redo' trick of dying and coming back in time—it still feels like robbery."

He scrolled again, sighing heavily, when a soft, teasing voice came from the shadows behind him.

"Mr. Wolf," the woman called. "The manager would like to have a word with you."

Without looking up, Shan replied, "Okay. Tell her I'll be right there."

The lady grinned mischievously. She stepped forward, her heels clicking lightly against the floor, and wrapped her arms around him from behind.

"The fuck?" she teased, leaning closer. "That's your reaction to being told the manager wants to see you, boo?"

Shan flinched, blinking in surprise. "?! Oh—Eva."

"Hmmm…" she hummed, resting her chin on his shoulder. "What's this? You shopping for a new phone?"

"Yeah," he replied casually, glancing at her reflection on the laptop screen.

Eva grinned. "Hehe, you do know the manager's looking for you, right? Which, in case you forgot, is me—the finance manager, you stupid brother."

Shan sighed, shaking his head. "Even though we're not blood-related, you're still my cute little mercenary sister," he muttered quietly—just low enough so no one else could hear.

Their shared past as child mercenaries wasn't something they ever talked about in public.

Eva straightened up and looked around. A few of their coworkers were stealing glances their way, whispering and smirking like they were watching some office drama unfold.

Eva smirked and raised her voice just enough for them to hear. "Get back to work! Can't you see I'm talking to my brother? Or were we being a little too steamy for your taste?"

The room went silent for a moment before everyone awkwardly turned back to their screens.

Shan chuckled under his breath. "You just love stirring trouble, don't you?"

Eva shot him a quick wink. "Only when it's with you, boo."

At the far corner of the office, Rae Yoorin glanced briefly toward them but said nothing. With a faint sigh, she turned back to her desk and continued working alongside her colleagues.

Eva crossed her arms, tapping one finger against her sleeve. "Funny, I tried calling you earlier, but your phone was offline."

"I lost it," Shan said, rubbing the back of his neck and ruffling his black hair.

"Oh, so that's why you're scrolling through phone stores, huh?" she asked, arching a brow.

"Yeah," he replied simply.

Eva's grin widened as she pulled out her sleek iPhone 20, the metallic edges catching the office light. "Shall I get you a new one? A matching type, maybe?"

Shan immediately waved both hands in refusal. "No. I can't do that."

"Aww, why not?" she pouted, her lips curling into a mock frown. "You're making me sad, boo."

He couldn't help but smile at her exaggerated expression. "You already bought me this laptop, remember? I can't keep asking for your help over small things. Plus, I don't want to cause any trouble for you, sis."

Eva shrugged, her tone teasing. "But I'm the manager. That's not an issue for me."

Shan chuckled softly, reaching out to pat her blonde hair. "I know you're just looking out for me, Eva. But still—I've got to make choices on my own. Solve my own problems."

She puffed out her cheeks in mock frustration. "But you solve mine all the time. Why can't I return the favor?"

He paused, his gaze distant for a moment before replying, "That was when we were in…" He cleared his throat awkwardly. "…when we were kids. Back then, in that dark forest."

Eva's smirk faded slightly, her eyes softening. "I see…" Then suddenly, her face lit up again. "Oh! How about this instead!"

"Eh? What now?"

Before Shan could react, Eva grabbed his wrist and pulled him up from his cubicle. "We have somewhere to go—together. Hurry up!"

"Wait—Eva, where are we going?" Shan asked, stumbling slightly as she dragged him along.

Meanwhile, Ingrid Mikage, the department head, stepped out of her glass-walled office. Her fitted black dress hugged her figure, the plunging neckline leaving little to the imagination.

Several male coworkers momentarily froze mid-typing, their focus broken by her sudden appearance.

Ingrid watched Shan and Eva disappearing down the hallway. Her lips curved into a faint, unimpressed smile.

"...He's become such a lap dog," she muttered under her breath, her tone laced with bitterness. "That bastard."

Inside the storage room, the air was cool and faintly smelled of cardboard and new electronics. Fluorescent lights flickered above, giving the space a quiet, almost secretive atmosphere.

Eva knelt beside a stack of sealed boxes and pulled one open carefully. "These just came in,"

She said, glancing back at Shan with a grin. "The new Samsung S27s. A collaboration project between Samsung and Won Group."

She reached in and pulled out one of the sleek phones, holding it up like treasure. "Here, boo. This one's the Samsung S27 Ultra 6G Note—top of the line."

Shan crossed his arms, his expression flat and unimpressed. "Eva," he said quietly. "I thought I taught you never to steal."

Eva froze for a moment, her grin faltering. Then she sighed, half-smiling with guilt. "Yeah, yeah. You're so damn honest, brother. Always the righteous one."

Shan didn't respond immediately. His gaze drifted to the rows of unopened boxes, then back to her. She stood there, brushing her fingers across the lid of one carton, her voice softening.

"Funny," she murmured, "it's been years since you last scolded me like that. I kinda miss it, boo."

Shan blinked, slightly taken aback by her tone. Eva gave a small, sad laugh, then gently placed the phone box aside. "Don't worry. I'll take responsibility for this one," she said, meeting his eyes again. "For you."

Shan let out a slow breath. "Eva…"

Before he could finish, she stepped closer. The distance between them dissolved in an instant. Her hand brushed against his chest, fingers trembling slightly.

"You always take responsibility for me," she whispered. "Just once, let me do the same."

Shan's eyes softened, but he didn't move away. The tension between them thickened—part guilt, part affection, part something neither of them could quite name.

Then, without another word, Eva leaned forward and pressed her lips to his. The kiss wasn't rough or rushed—it was slow, desperate, and heavy with everything they'd left unsaid over the years.

Shan stiffened at first, his instincts clashing with emotion, but her touch… it disarmed him.

He leaned back slightly, his breath uneven, their foreheads almost touching.

"Eva," he muttered, his voice low and conflicted. "You're gonna get us both in trouble, you know that?"

She smiled faintly, eyes still closed. "Then we'll deal with it together… like we always have."

For a long moment, the world outside the storage room didn't exist—just the faint hum of the lights, the scent of new plastic, and the fragile, dangerous warmth between them.

Back to the present as Shan was kissing and fucking Eva, Rachel So Mi sees it all from afar just two stands on boxes away as the two of them kept going.

Shan Wolf....,

Rachel thought.

He is like a predator taking on his prey. Well, his surname is Wolf for one reason. But I had no idea he was like this.

Such dominance, such masculine, what a body of both muscular and athletic, what a fucking man...."

Rachel notice Shan raised his hand and smacked Eva's ass food."Ah yes!" Eva moaned, "more boo! Male me feel all weak like a little girl! Ah yes!"

Shan Lifeted her up in a suspended congress position and took her deeper. "Ah!!!! So deep, your cock is a beast! I can't get enough of you, Shan! Yes!!!"

In a last moment, they both release their ecstacy together and Eva kissed him over her shoulder with both their toungues in each other mouth.

Rachel backed away quietly, her pulse racing. She pressed a hand to her chest and whispered under her breath, "Damn it… he really is a wolf."

An hour later

In a quiet bookstore near the Won Group Headquarters, the soft hum of background music filled the air. Rows of neatly arranged shelves stood tall, the faint scent of paper and coffee lingering from the attached café.

Rae Yoorin stood by the philosophy section, idly skimming through a few titles when she heard footsteps approaching.

Gon Jun San appeared, dressed sharply as always, his tone calm but edged with formality. "Do we really have to meet here?" she asked casually, not even turning fully toward him.

Without answering, Gon Jun San handed her a small paperback.

"What's this?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"A gift," he replied. "From the Vice President—Jen Heo Won."

She glanced down and read the title aloud. "The Courage to Be Disliked, by Fumitake Koga and Ichiro Kishimi."

Her brow furrowed. "The Courage to be Disliked? The fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"Open it," Gon Jun San said quietly, his expression unreadable.

Rae Yoorin hesitated, then flipped open the cover—and froze. Hidden neatly inside were several crisp stacks of Korean won, fresh and uncreased.

"Umm…" she muttered, her tone cautious. "What exactly is this?"

Gon Jun San adjusted his glasses, the faintest smirk tugging at his lips. "Don't be too surprised. It's just a small bonus for your recent… performance. Keep doing well, and the bonuses will only get higher."

Rae's fingers brushed the edge of the bills. "And if I don't?" she asked, her voice low.

Gon Jun San turned, already walking toward the exit. His tone remained polite, but his words carried weight. "Then I'm afraid Ms. Won will be… disappointed."

He stopped at the doorway and looked back once more, his eyes sharp behind the glare of his glasses.

"Well then, Ms. Rae. I shall take my leave. And remember—Ms. Won expects results… or else."

He left without another word, the soft chime of the doorbell echoing behind him. Rae stood frozen for a moment, the book still open in her hands. The cash gleamed under the fluorescent light, silent and heavy with meaning.
