Chapter 293 - Pokémon: Breeding Simulator [293]

"Gardevoir, can we pinpoint Dialga and Palkia's exact locations now?" Elias asked, glancing toward Gardevoir.

To avoid further complications, he wanted to locate the two Pokémon as quickly as possible.

Fortunately, Gardevoir had brought the Masked Legion's monitoring equipment, which could detect disturbances in space-time rifts.

"Garde~ (It might take about a day)," she softly replied while adjusting the instruments.

Elias nodded thoughtfully.

A whole day... It seemed a bit long.

Those two Pokémon were currently restless. If too much time passed, they might vanish again.

"Elias, how about we ask Giratina for help?"

At that moment, Zoroark leaned in, whispering softly.

Elias was momentarily stunned.

Zoroark's suggestion actually seemed viable.

Giratina had fought Dialga and Palkia countless times. Locating them should indeed be easy for it.

But...

The very reason Dialga and Palkia were so restless was that Giratina had thoroughly beaten them last time.

Wouldn't sending Giratina after them again provoke them even further?

Considering this, Elias decided to keep Zoroark's suggestion as a backup option.

"Since it'll take a day anyway, why don't we explore Kalos a little?"

Seeing Elias hesitate, Cynthia flipped open her map and asked with genuine enthusiasm.

Kalos was famously beautiful—a beloved tourist destination.

Although she'd visited several times before, she'd always been alone.

Traveling with Elias, however, gave the trip a completely different feeling.

"From what I know of Dialga and Palkia, they're the type to hide in space-time rifts and rarely emerge."

"So, before we locate them, they definitely won't come out into the real world," Cynthia added confidently, seeing Elias still hesitant.

This wasn't just a spontaneous excuse—historical records indicated the Twin Dragons rarely ever appeared.

Thus, Cynthia genuinely believed they wouldn't suddenly show up now.

Elias had just begun nodding in agreement when—

BOOM—!

A deafening explosion suddenly erupted.

Even inside the helicopter, the noise was thunderous, leaving everyone dizzy and disoriented.

Before anyone had recovered, the helicopter shuddered violently.

Clearly, it had been impacted by the explosion.

When the shaking finally subsided, Elias rubbed his aching ears and gazed anxiously out the window.

Judging from the sound, the source was quite far away.

Yet even at this distance, it had still strongly affected their helicopter in mid-air.

Clearly, whatever had caused it was extraordinary.

"Garde…"

Gardevoir approached, gently covering Elias's ears with her soft hands, her expression anxious and guilty.

The explosion had come too suddenly, and her attention had been entirely on the monitoring equipment.

She hadn't noticed in time.

She'd promised to protect Elias, but she'd still missed something like this...

Mew, Latias, and Zoroark also went on high alert, carefully scanning their surroundings for threats.

"Elias...it seems Dialga and Palkia have entered the real world," Cynthia suddenly announced with a sigh.

She looked helplessly at the message on her communicator.

[Cynthia, you're in Lumiose City, right?]

[I just received word—the Prism Tower has apparently been attacked by legendary Pokémon from your region.]

The message was from Diantha.

As the region's Champion, she had received detailed intel immediately.

Cynthia didn't even need to guess to know exactly which Pokémon Diantha was referring to.

She'd just confidently predicted that they wouldn't emerge, only for reality to slap her in the face moments later.

Elias wasn't terribly surprised, though.

Only the Twin Dragons could have caused a commotion of this scale.

"Let's go take a look."

Elias gently squeezed Gardevoir's hand, calmly instructing the pilot.

Though Dialga and Palkia emerging into the real world was pretty much the worst-case scenario…

At least, it simplified his next steps considerably.

Following Elias's order, the helicopter immediately turned toward Prism Tower.

Meanwhile, Cynthia received another message from her friend.

[Cynthia, I'm not currently in Kalos, so I might need your help controlling the situation first.]

[I'll hurry back as soon as I can.]

From the urgency in her tone, Diantha seemed genuinely worried.

She'd originally intended to finish filming before returning home, never expecting a sudden attack—let alone one involving two legendary Pokémon at the very apex of power.

Gym Leaders nearby likely wouldn't even be able to stabilize the situation, leaving her no choice but to ask for Cynthia's help.

Yet even with Cynthia there, Diantha feared it wouldn't be enough.

Why had those two Pokémon suddenly decided to wreak havoc in Kalos?

---

Meanwhile, in Lumiose City.

High above Prism Tower, Dialga and Palkia hovered, staring each other down.

Above them, an enormous rift distorted space-time.

Clearly, they'd emerged directly from that fissure.

Two terrifyingly powerful and unfamiliar Pokémon suddenly appearing in the sky was more than enough to throw the entire city into chaos.

Kalos's bustling metropolis had instantly lost its usual peace.

"W-what are those?!"

"Is it the legendary Xerneas?"

"Idiot, Xerneas doesn't look anything like those things!"

Most Kalos citizens had clearly never seen Sinnoh's legendary dragons before.

Panic-stricken discussions erupted everywhere.

Below Prism Tower, a blond-haired boy with glasses desperately pulled a younger blond girl, sprinting toward safety.

"Bonnie... Bonnie, just hold on a bit longer!" Clemont shouted encouragement, seeing his little sister gasping for breath.

Yet his own ragged breathing revealed he too was nearing his limits.

Clenching his teeth, Clemont felt painfully helpless.

It was the first time in his life that he, a Gym Leader, had felt so utterly powerless.

At that moment, Dialga and Palkia above them stirred once again…
