Chapter 63 - 61- Family talk

"How… how is that even possible…" came a whisper. The same exact thought was running through the minds of many, but they just could not voice it out.

Their home, Asgard, was changing, and it was for the better. It grew grander and even more beautiful with each passing moment.

Sure, they had all heard their God King say that he was about to change Asgard, but this… this was too much.

They knew their king was the god of creation itself, but seeing his powers used at this scale still awestruck them.

Meanwhile, high in the skies, Magnar was looking at his work with pride. In the past 800 years, he had Raphael work on many projects, and now that he was finally the king, he did not shy away from using them all.

With the city of Asgard remodelled, he moved his hands up, unleashed a massive amount of Magnarforce, and activated his divinity of life. Then, as if some sort of EMP had gone off, a huge burst of life energy exploded from Magnar, and the effects covered the entire realm of Asgard.

For a moment, nothing happened. Then, all of a sudden, it all started to glow: the trees, the animals, the birds, even the Aesir. Every living thing that bathed in the power of life began to shine. All ailments disappeared, old scars were gone, even the calluses on their hands from training vanished. And Asgard… it looked invigorated.

It was as if the world had gained more colors. Remember how you saw the world when you were a child? Yes, that colorful, that full of life.

"Oops… Woke Freyja up… Guess nothing can be done about it now." Magnar sighed. His burst of life energy had woken Freyja, who was now confused as to why she felt so full of energy all of a sudden.

Freyja got up from her bed and went to the window, pulling the curtain aside to see what was going on outside, and why Magnar had released his powers."What the heck… what is he doing all of a sudden…"

Of course, I sensed Freyja waking up, and since there was more work to do, I teleported to my throne room and ordered that a grand court be organized, one which everyone in Asgard had to attend.

Done with the orders, I sat back on my throne, waiting for Freyja, Hela, and Mom to arrive. And as if on cue, all three of them arrived at the same time.

"What's up with these sudden changes in Asgard? Couldn't you just wait a few days? You just took the throne yesterday, and today itself, all of Asgard is in chaos." Freyja sighed as she reprimanded me, and my mother nodded at her words.

"Although it was rather sudden, Asgard looks much better than before, brother…" My cute little sister was the only one who supported me, but her tone gave me some ick.

This was far too gentle and considerate. My Hela would have jumped up asking for more arenas or something…

Sigh, I guess the fight with Father has impacted her more than I thought. Maybe me saving her had some effects too, but let's stop that train of thought here. This is Asgard, not Alabama.

"Maybe it was too sudden, but there is more to it than it seems. I just took the throne, and this spectacle will make an impression on everyone, a good one. And I am not done just yet. There's a reason why I have asked the entire populace of Asgard to assemble." I announced with a smile, reclining back comfortably on my throne.

Yes, I added some cushions there to make it more comfortable.

"More changes? What ridiculous thing are you planning now? Are you going to grant some powers to everyone? Maybe brainwash them all? Sigh… I think I know you far too well now. So much so that the more ridiculous stuff I think of, the more I realize you might actually do it…" Freyja spouted nonsense with a sigh. Am I the kind of person who does ridiculous or evil things? Pure slander.

"This is slander. I would certainly not do something like that. I just wanted to bless my subjects so that they could enjoy the benefits of having me as their king." I defended myself with the truth. My goals were innocent.

"…That's exactly what I said… Anyway, spill it, what are your plans exactly?" Freyja asked, rubbing her head with her fingers.

"Everyone, disperse." I ordered the servants, and they left hurriedly, leaving me alone with my family in the massive throne room.

"I do indeed plan to give them all power-ups, but before them, it is actually you three who will receive a boost in strength." I explained, and at the prospect of an increase in strength, Hela was perked up the most.

"What are you talking about, brother? We are not ordinary humans, whom you can just give some small blessings to and they become stronger. It's not that I doubt you, but I don't understand how exactly you intend to do that."

I smiled and patted Hela's head. "It's simple really. You know about Father's Odinforce, right? I also have a similar force, Magnarforce. I call this power the God Force. It is also due to this force that you could not even put up a fight against Father.

Now, this force is very difficult to awaken. Father's awakened due to the sacrifice of his brothers, but that is a very crude method.

So, I researched this force and developed a way to awaken it. It is also due to this that I surpassed Father in terms of strength.

And now, I intend to help you three awaken the God Force, so that you can become stronger, at least reaching a level of strength close to Father."

Yet, all this flex did not bring the result I had anticipated. Sure, Freyja and Hela looked very excited, but the first to speak was not them, but Mother.

"God Force… I see. So that's how you defeated your father… It's a strange feeling, seeing my family break apart, yet I feel nothing but pride for you. You are so wise, powerful, and talented, yet so incredibly kind.

You know, I understand very well that half of the reason you did nothing to your father was probably because of me, and I understand that the fault here lies within your father… no… on both me and your father.

I am sorry, I failed to protect both of you. I saw the changes within your father and your relationship slowly, yet I could not do anything to mend it.

I am well aware of Asgardian traditions, and I know that the change of throne comes with heavy bloodshed, but you managed to stop all that.

Therefore, Son, you have already done enough for me. There is no need to bother anymore.I thank you for letting your father live, but I cannot accept this gift of yours.

I have no desire to improve my strength. All I wish is to retire and live the rest of my life quietly."

Alright, maybe I forgot to have a much-needed one-on-one emotional talk session with my family after the recent escapades…

It seems it is much more needed than I thought…
