Cherish stay alone in the garden, feeling tired, she drift to a lovely sleep.
The darkness, the moon light, the shadow,
"Cherish" it call
"Cherish"
She recognizes that voice
"Zack" she quietly call
"Cherish"
She wake up crying
"Leave me alone"
Her eyes blurry from crying
"Cherish" Zack call,
He sit next to her, hug her
"Don't cry" he comfort her
She stop crying
"Don't cry, it only a nightmare" he tap her back
She wipe her face
"I am no more crying" shift a little away from him
"I am sorry for staining your shirt with tears" she shyly apologize
"It alright"
"What are you doing here" she ask
"Well, I was just playing with my siblings, then arrive here"
"So, where are your siblings?"
"Hi" Maya greet
Cherish look at her
"Hi" she reply back
"Hey" Kelvin greet
"Hi" Coby greet
Cherish look back at Zack like ' would you not introduce them to me' look
"Sorry, this is Maya, my elder sister" he introduce
Cherish smile at her
"Then my brothers, Coby and Kelvin "
She smile at them
"What game where you playing?" she ask Zack
"Hide and seek " Maya answer her

Then she look at Maya

Maya open her mouth then close it, couldn't find the words

Cherish find herself in an awkward situation, she sniff for some air then cover her nose
"I will just pluck some flowers"
She excuse herself to the flowers beds

The bell ring
"I think is time to head back to class"
She walk to carry her bag

The five of them walk back to class but Miss Zelda is not around

"Cherish " she run to her,

"She will come, let's play" she pull her to the tea table, the four siblings follow her
"Let's play pretend, I'm ths princess, Zack is the prince, Coby and Kelvin the night, while Maya the servant"
Cherish feel bad and disappointed

An idea pop in her head
"Since you are smart among us, why don't you read, the story for us to act"
Cherish shrug her shoulders

Gwen give her the princess book head back to her position next to Zack who feels uncomfortable
Cherish sit on the floor crossing her legs, start to read

After some hours went by, the other children sit to watch
"Then the princess kiss the prince"
Gwen kiss Zack on the cheek, he still feel uncomfortable
"And they live happily ever after, the end"
Cherish close the book and the students clap
"Yeah" they cheer
Zack remove his arm from Gwen and run to seat next to Cherish. Cherish did not mind as long as you are not bothering her
"Good job kids" Miss Zelda clap
"Miss Zelda" the children run and hug her
" That is a nice job kids, you all did amazing"
"Yeah, we did great" Gwen said
"Cherish I didn't know you can read so well at a young age, well down" she clap, the children cheer
"This give me an idea, how about putting a play for our family to watch"
"Yes" the children cheer
"Okay, so gather round"
She walk to her seat, the children seat round her
"Okay, Gwen you be the princess"
"Yes" she smile
"Zack the prince"
"No" he feel bad
Gwen hold his arm but he remove them and hold Cherish arm, she look at him
"Cherish play the fairy"
"Sure Miss Zelda" she stop looking at Zack to face Miss Zelda
"Okay, so let's start, shall we"
After a long day in school, the bell ring
"Awwww" the children said
"Don't worry kids, we will continue tomorrow" Miss Zelda said

Outside the school
Children stand outside waiting for their parents
"Mummy " a child run to her's

Cherish watches as each child run and hug her parents, she squat waiting for her's. Miss Zelda walk out

She look up, sad
"Don't worry your parents will come, alright" she smile
But Cherish don't feel like it,

Cherish just sigh, playing on her own. Hours pass by but no sign of her parents. A car stop at the entrance of the school gate

She look at the direction of the voice, it's her parents driver,

She walk to the car, he help her inside before closing the door and walk to the driver to drive
In the car
"I'm sorry Cherish" he apologize
"It's okay, I just can't wait to see mummy and daddy" she happily said
the driver smile
"Yeah, Mr and Mrs Woo"
He drive to Mr. Woo company.
Mr Woo is the CEO of Prime Tech while Mrs Woo owns a jewelry store named after her and Cherish Chella jewel.
Outside the building
The driver park the car at the entrance
"Miss Woo we are here"
She didn't reply. He look at his rare mirror, see she is asleep and peaceful, he sigh and drive to park the car properly.
In the company
Mr Woo has a meeting with important clients
"So, with his information at least we can start up a new application format" he look at the faces
"Any issue?"
A client about to raise up his hand, when the door open
"Daddy" a small girl call
Mr Woo stand
"Cherish"
She hug him, he carry her
"How was your day in school?"
"Great"
The clients did not know what to say but they enjoy the father and daughter moment, the driver enter panting
"Sorry sir, she was just sleeping a while ago" he apologize

"Sure" the driver close the door back
Everyone present look at him confuse
"Ready to have fun?"

A client wearing light blue shirt with black trousers, raise his hand

He answer without looking at him, focusing on laying out his important project work for Cherish

"Well sir the outlines will it not affect the other bases of the project?"
He look at the screen, then at Cherish before the client
"How exactly?" he try not to be cold in front of Cherish
"Well, from the column here, the amount rate here falls but trying to set it back up this new project might be affected" he explain
Cherish continue playing, laying out the pieces
"Done" she shout
Everyone look confuse
Mr Woo look at it
"Well done" he mess her hair
"This is actually fun daddy, I want more" she said
"Well, your not finish, click this button here"
She click
"Then type this code" he whisper it to her ear
She nod and type it
"Good, so you press this button"
He point at the enter button, she press it and it send to everyone computer in the office, they all look confuse them click on it, the project is actually finish, every work piece is a progress,they scroll down till they see a smiling emoji.
Each members look at themselves, then at the small child Mr Woo is playing with
"Any questions?" Mr Woo ask
"No questions sir, this is a good process, it will be done sir" he sit back
" Okay, that will be all" Mr Woo stand, carry Cherish out of the office
The clients till can't believe what they have just witness
"How old is that child?" one ask
"She is way too young to understand this" another one said
"She is too clever"
In Mr Woo office
"That is my clever girl" he play with her
Mrs Woo enter
"Mummy " she call
"Oh your here" she carry her from him
"How was your day" Mr Woo ask
"Fabulous " she answer
"How was yours Cherish " she use her nose to touch hers
Cherish giggle
"I help dad in work" she reply
"Really " she look at him squat her eyes
He feel nervous all the sudden
"She help you" she walk closer to him pretending to be upset
"I.... I.... I didn't mean to" he stammers
She is closer to him holding Cherish
"Cherish attack"
Cherish climb on her father and tickle him
"Hey stop, stop" he laugh
Mrs Woo join in laughing,
"Alright Cherish it's enough" Mrs Woo said
Cherish stop tickling and hug him

Her mom become jealous
"Father and daughter " she spout
"Come here " Mr Woo pull her to a hug, a family hug.
At home
Cherish lay on her bed with her parents by her sides
"We read every stories, sing all your songs, anything else" Mrs Woo said
"Hmm" she nod
"What is that?" Mr Woo ask
"Well, stay with me" she hold their arms tight
"Okay" they agree
Few hours went by, Cherish is fast asleep, so is Mrs Woo, Mr Woo gently pull his arm away, cover Cherish properly with the quilt, walk to the other side, carry his wife, gently walk out and close the door.
In her dream world
The darkness, her eyes wide in fear, shaking, her sharp intake and outtake of breath, her mind has only one thing and that is to escape but where to run, who is there to save her from this nightmare.

She run for her life, look back to see who it is or what is was, she slip and fell

The moon come out from hiding, reveal where she is, then went in hiding, she stand up running away from it

"Cherish, don't run" it warn

She hear her name louder, closer, her heart pound louder like it will explode, her main aim is to run get out of there alive, feeling the grasses flogging her legs, the moon come out from hiding, she stop tired, trembling,
"Cherish"
She look back, sees flashes of red, then yellow then green, then golden mixture then none, she turn to run
"Cherish"
The moon hide again, she sense it, she remain paralyze, the moon appear revealing it or her, she fell on her butt, moving back in fear
"Don't hurt me" she move back till
In the real world
"Mama, Papa" she scream crying
They walk in her room
"Cherish"
The light switch on
"Mama, Papa" she cry
"Cherish" they rush to her bed, hug her
She cry so much
"It alright, it just a nightmare" Mr Woo console her
"It alright sweetie, it just a silly nightmare okay" Mrs Woo console
She stop crying,
"Okay" Mr Woo carry her on his lap
"Do you know I have a nightmare?" Mr Woo start
"What is your nightmares daddy?" Cherish ask
"Well, I saw you in a silly pink dress, putting on makeup" he tease
Cherish and Mrs Woo laugh
"That is not nightmares daddy, its a silly dream" she laugh
"Well that is my nightmare"
"Mummy do you have nightmares?"
"Well, I do, I dreamt of you and your dad dancing the chicken dance to a silly song"
Cherish laugh
"That is not a nightmare, that is a silly dream" she laugh
"So we all have nightmares but it's how we make it silly" Mr Woo touch her nose which made her to giggle
"But mine is not a silly dream, it's actually a nightmare, she was there, she is always there"
Her parents look at each other
"Maybe she is there to protect you" Mrs Woo said
"Meaning" Cherish ask
Mr Woo on the other hand frown for an explanation, Mrs Woo relax on the bed
"I remember my own nightmares, creepy and scary"
Cherish shivers
"I tell it to my parents, they sang a song for me, after that, I start to feel better and my dreams change from horror to sweet" she sigh
"So if you sing the song to her, she will have a good dream" Mr Woo suggest
"Okay"
She carry Cherish from Mr Woo snuggling her in her arms
"So, here it goes, it's a long time I heard the song" she try to remember
"Okay, little girl why are you sad, when there is a thousand waiting you, you may climb the tallest mountain thinking that is a way to light but look beyond deeper..........."
Cherish finally sleep
"Your way of hope is there" Mrs Woo stop singing, place Cherish on the bed
Mr Woo and her walk out quietly from the room, close the door
"When are we going to tell her about the business trip?" Mr Woo ask
"Well, she will know when she wakes up"
"Okay"
In the morning,
Cherish wake up feeling happy, Mr and Mrs Woo enter inside
"Look like someone had a lovely dream"
They walk to her
"Yes, I dreamt of I was in the land of candy with you and daddy, with me"
"That is nice to hear " they hug her
"Okay, so guess what" Mr Woo said
"What" Cherish happily ask
"Okay, you can come in"
A man walk in,
"Uncle" she run to hug him
"Hey kiddo" he carry her
"So, uncle Zehng will stay with you while mummy and daddy travel for work"
Cherish start to cry,
"It's alright" Mrs Woo clean her tears
"I want to go with mummy and daddy" she cry
"Alright, mummy will get you dress, while uncle will wait for you here okay"
She nod
"Good, go, go ,go" she chase the men out
"Wow, your wife is something" Mr Zehng tease
"Go get yours"
The men where downstairs talking
"And she was "no it can be like this", what do you want me to do" the two of them start to laugh
Mrs Woo walk out holding Cherish
"Come on let's go unless we will miss the flight" Mrs Woo scold
"Cherish you look so cute" Mr Zehng compliment
"Thank you"
"Okay let's go"
In the car,
Cherish and her parents were playing,
"Okay, so teddy will keep you company while we are away" Mr Woo give her
"Take care of yourself okay"
The traffic lights show red, the driver hit the brakes, the car did not stop, he keep hitting it
"Sir the car will not stop" he complain
"Try again"
"I am trying"
They look at each other then at Cherish, give her kiss on her cheek
"One more thing, we love you"
Cherish nod not understand the case, smiling her bright smile. A truck hit their car, it summersaults and hit the ground, everyone lost conscious, the truck driver quickly call the ambulance.
At the hospital
Mr Zehng quickly run to the patient room, see her, quiet, calm holding the teddy bear tight
"Cherish"
She look at him calm, he run and hug her
"Mama and papa will be alright" she ask
"Cherish, I'm sorry" he apologize
"Mama and papa will be alright" she ask again
"Let's just go home alright"
He carry her out of the hospital.
At home
"Cherish, you will come live with me" he said packing her things
"Mama and Papa will come home right" she ask
Tears flow from his eyes,
"No, they are not coming back"
She shake her head
"Mama and Papa will come back right"
"No Cherish, no, they are not coming, ever" he hug her
"Mama, Papa" she quietly said
Tears flow down from her eyes, Mr Zehng clean his tears
"Come on let's go"
He carry her out from the house, looking back at the memories
"Uncle" she call yawning
"Sure let's go" he walk out
At the airport
Mr Zehng hold Cherish waiting, he place his jacket on her
