Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: Hidden Currents

The night sky sudah gelap like kopi pekat, with neon lights blinking across the city like tiny fireflies trapped in glass. On the rooftop of a high-rise building, Li Chuan stood alone, his gaze sweeping over the busy streets below. The wind tonight macam not normal, cold and sharp, like it's trying to warn him of something coming soon.

Behind him, the door creaked open softly. Su Man walked in, her steps quick but silent, passing a stack of encrypted documents into his hands.

"Latest intel," she said, her voice serious. "'Tianmu' already start withdrawing their people. Li Feng knows what we're up to."

Li Chuan flipped open the file, his brows slightly knitted together. The data was clear—Li Feng's underground network had begun mass data cleansing, moving key assets away. If this pattern continued, it meant only one thing: he was preparing for a big move, or worse, getting ready to vanish entirely.

"He's speeding up," Li Chuan murmured, still staring at the flickering lights of Kuala Lumpur in the distance.

Su Man's expression darkened. "Should we move now? If we wait lagi, we might miss our chance."

Li Chuan remained silent for a few moments before closing the file with a soft thud. "Not yet," he finally said. "Timing belum betul."

At the same time, in an abandoned warehouse near Port Klang, Li Feng sat in the dimly lit room, fingers tapping rhythmically on the wooden table. His sharp eyes studied the man sitting across from him—dressed in a sleek black suit, with a slight smile as if he had everything under control.

"Li Chuan is moving faster than I expected," Li Feng said, his voice even.

The man chuckled lightly. "That just means he's getting desperate. The real game baru nak start."

Li Feng didn't respond immediately. His gaze dropped to the photograph on the table—the face of Li Chuan stared back at him.

"Then let's make him even more desperate," he said, a slow smirk creeping onto his lips.

In another part of the city, at a small rented office in Petaling Jaya, Cheng Mo was glued to his laptop screen, lines of encrypted codes running in a continuous stream. Next to him, Shen Qiu leaned back in his chair, one hand lazily scrolling through another data set.

"This looks like a financial transfer log," Shen Qiu said, tapping on a highlighted section.

Cheng Mo's eyes narrowed. "If this data is legit, Li Feng's funds are being moved offshore. That means he's planning an escape."

"Or…" Shen Qiu enlarged one specific transaction. "Or he's funding something much bigger. See this? This money masuk one account—codename 'Abyss'. This account, no movement at all before this."

Cheng Mo inhaled sharply. "'Abyss'… If he's pouring money into that, then whatever's coming is bigger than we thought."

Back on the rooftop, Li Chuan finally turned around, his decision made. He met Su Man's waiting gaze.

"Call everyone," he ordered. "We move now."

Su Man nodded, disappearing into the night like a shadow.

The city lights continued to shine brightly, illuminating the streets below. But behind those lights, behind the towering skyscrapers and crowded alleys, an unseen battle had already begun.
