SCENE:Somewhere in the streets of the evilzone.

To say that he's dumbfounded is an understatement, Metal Grip stares at his female, teenage opponent, not able to believe what he's feeling from her. The amount of super power emanating from her body, the large, visible pink-white aura cloak surrounding her certainly doesn't help.

Metal Grip: But, but how? How could this little girl have so much power? She couldn't possibly be any older than fifteen, how could she already possess such overwhelming power. (instinctively begins to walk backwards in intimidation)

Mavy: (speaking rather smugly) What's wrong? Getting scared of a girl?

Metal Grip: (stops walking and…) … Cocky brat. (…charges at her like a fool, balling his fist to punch but…)

Mavy: (…flips over him) Too slow.

Metal Grip growls, turning towards her and sends a kick at her, but Mavy manages to blocks it with her arms; killing its momentum and nullifying the attack. Metal Grip's swing at her again, but she effortlessly dodges the first strike, then grabs his other arm by the wrist to stop the next strike and instantly counters with her free hand through a fist to his cheek. The older, taller man is sent flying, hitting the ground several metres aways, he gets back up, rubbing the side of his face where his helmet is cracked.

Metal Grip: (groans) Her strength and reflexes have increased, exponentially. She's gotten more dangerous.

Both fighters charge at eachother, engaging an exchange of fists and feet, Metal Grip moves for a grab at her throat but Mavy bends over backwards to dodge. She raises a foot extends it at him, turning it into a giant metal fist. Turning her foot back, she backflips back unto her feet and lunges at him, she throws a punch him, which he blocks by crossing his arms over his chest and spin-kicks at her head. She raises her arm to block it, transforms his hand into tiger paw and slashes his chest, the force sending the man backwards. The man hits a lamppost back first, he groans as puts his hand to his bleeding chest; sweat profusely dropping from his body. Mavy detransforms her hand and turns away from him, ready to leave.

Mavy: This fight's over. You can't beat me, so just give up. So, are ready to listen?

Metal Grip: (groans as he struggles to get back up) I'll…make you…pay.

Mavy: (puts a hand to her forehead with a frustrated sigh) Forget it. I'm just wasn't my breath with this guy. He's clearly not ready to listen, and there's no point trying to reason with someone who's not ready to reason. (runs off in the direction of the warehouse)

Metal Grip: …! Oh no you don't! (jumps to his feet and leaps into the sky, fist raised to strike)

Mavy: (senses his approach…) …! (…and leaps backwards to dodge a powerful punch that creates a large crater) You don't learn, do you?

Metal Grip: (glares at her with a growl) You're not going anywhere!

He tightens his fists, squeezing his arms to his sides and dropping to his small crouch, he grits his teeth as he focuses his power and after a while, yells out loud as he releases a red-black near-transparent aura from his body. Mavy stares in awe at the villain's power, recognizing his magnitude of his battle aura but…

Mavy: He's strong alright, very strong; his power has just jumped a whole level. Has he been holding back all this time? Well, he's clearly using his full power now, but whether or not he beat me…

Metal Grip: (laughs evilly) Okay, let's which of us is really stronger.

Metal Grip lunges at her with incredible speed, surprising Mavy who barely crosses her arms in front of her face in time to block a powerful punch that sends her flying into a nearby parked flying car with enough force to make turn turtle a few feet from its initial position; its alarm blaring. She groans, blood dripping from her arms, legs and head with broken arms which make it impossible to get up. Metal Grip slow-walks up to her, noticing this, Mavy quickly heals her body and gets up to face her opponent; both a look of anger and determination on each one's face. Metal Grip rushes towards her, but she weaves his attack and lifts up the car before swatting him with it like a baseball bat; sending him flying back several yards.

Not even waiting for her opponent to get back up, Mavy drops the car and turns around to leave, she once again begins to rush off when her sixth sense suddenly blares as she looks to the ground to see a growing circular shadow at her feet. Realizing what's about to happen, she leaps backwards as Metal Grip slams his fist into the ground, creating a loud BOOM that rips through the air and a giant crater. Of course, if any district citizens are still asleep, this action definitely wakes them up; moreover, all the people who are already on the streets finally make it to the battlefield.

Villain #1: What's going on?

Villain #2: Who're they?

Villain #3: Is that Metal Grip?

Villain #4: Who's that he's fighting?

Mavy: (yells at the people) Get out here! Everyone run, no--! (Metal Grip releases another shockwave clap that catches her off-guard and sends her and everyone within range flying; Mavy gets back up, rubbing the side of her torso)

Mavy: … He attacked even though all this people are here? Is he insane? (yells at him) If we keep fighting, all this people are gonna get caught in the crossfire and get hurt.

Metal Grip: Do I look like I care?

Mavy: (softly but annoyedly) Clearly not.

Metal Grip rushes at her with a barrage of punches, she raises her hand in front of herself and manifests a shield from it to defend, but the punches begin to dent it. She turns her fist to stone and sends it to his gut, making him cough out blood. She jumps, turning her leg to metal and slamming it into the side of his face; sending him flying.

WOAH!

Villain #4: Did you see that?

Villain #5: She just took down Metal Grip like it was nothing.

Villain #6: But he's an elite-grade villain and tier-bishop fighter, isn't he?

Villain #7: Who is that chick?

Mavy undoes the shield and takes a moment to look at Metal Grip's motionless body, thinking she might have finally beaten him, but the overgrown semiconductor on two legs gets back up and faces her, his helmet now cracked even more. Metal Grip pounds the ground beneath them, causing several metres of solid asphalt and rock to crumble into a crater that spreads throughout road and farther still, catching a good handful of innocent spectators too; Mavy being fast enough to leap into the air and summon a pair of insect wings to fly. The villains caught in the attack are left either very hurt or partial buried or both.

Mavy: (looks around at the destruction) You'd destroy your own home and endanger your fellow supervillains just to beat me?

Metal Grip: Enough of this useless talk. (does another clap that sends the remaining villains flying)

Mavy: (protrudes about a dozen tentacles from her back that she uses to catch the flying people…) You're right, talk is useless. (…then uses them to help out the people in the crater, handing them over to the others; to the civilian villains) Get out of here! Now! (not needing to be told a third time, they all beat it)

Mavy and Metal Grip stare eachother down, waiting for the other to make the next move. After a few seconds, Metal Grip leaps towards Mavy, but she narrowly dodges, creates distance between them, before zipping straight to him and past him, scratching through his right metal arm with her wings. Metal Grip looks to his arm to see she's done and glares at her, he smashes his hand into the ground and yanks out a large chunk of rock which he then hauls at Mavy with great force. The young teen easily slashes the rock to pieces with her steel-tentacle arm, she then zips past him again, slashing through his body like before, but this time his ready and sends her flying into and right through the wall of a building with a backhanded slap. Inside the building, Mavy gets back up, rubbing head before flying out of the full-sized hole in the wall and back into the battlefield.

Mavy turns both arms into steel tentacles and begins to strike at Metal Grip who raises his arms over his head to block, before managing to grab them both, using them to swing her around at top speed for a full minute and slamming her face first with full force into the hard pavement. Mavy generates leafy plants from her tentacles that form into small shrubs with what appear to be flower buds, these buds bloom, releasing some kind yellow pollen into the air and spraying it on Metal Grip. This startles the semi-metallic villain, enough to drop her arms and step back in a slight coughing fit as he tries to clear away the pollen with his hand; inadvertently breathing some in. Metal Grip looks over at Mavy, but he suddenly begins get dizzy as his vision begins to go blurry, making it difficult for him focus or even stand up straight. Mavy gets up, healing herself as she changes her arms back.

Metal grip: (staggering left and right) What? What the…?

Mavy: Yellow dragon hibiscus bud. Produces a pollen that induces temporary vertigo unto any animal that breathes it in; a security measure to dissuade hungry herbivores. (moves to finally leave…) You can't continue the fight like that I'll be (…but stops when she hears a yell)

Metal Grip: You're not going anywhere.

Mavy: (turns back to face him in shock) What?!

Metal Grip: I said, you're not going anywhere!

Mavy: (stares at him with a look of utter disbelief) But…how…? (sees the shards of a broken vial on the floor, realizing what must have happened) Did he have a detoxification potion on him? Crap.

Metal Grip: (leaps into air straight at her) You dead!

Mavy: (an exhausted look on her face) I'm so sick of this. (forms a triangle shape with her thumbs and index fingers to aim a spot on Metal's chest…) 'HIDDEN WEAPON STYLE: OBSIDIAN SPIKE TONGUE'. (…and opens her mouth, stretching out her tongue which turns into a long rod of a bluish-black glassy material and pierces into his chest; skillfully missing his heart)

The villain gets a stunned look on his face as he stares at the rod that went through his chest and out his back; blood dripping down it. Mavy retracts and detransforms her tongue, he falls to the ground, blood pouring out of the gaping hole on his body as he just stares up at the sky with a dumbfounded expression.

Metal Grip: (blood dripping from his mouth) N-No way, is this for real? How could I lose? To someone like…

Mavy: Didn't think I'd have to use that move. This guy sure is tough fighter. (to Metal Grip) Looks like you lost. Well, I can't stay anymore. You should go too; I suggest getting first aid quickly before you lose consciousness. (runs away again)

Metal Grip: I don't believe this. Me, Metal Grip, an elite-grade villain, who's been on force for over a hundred years could lose to some young punk? (tone grows darker as he squeezes his fist) No, I don't accept it, I won't accept it. (Mavy leaps unto a building when she suddenly hears a piercing roar – actually a yell but still more of roar – and she turns around to see Metal Grip back on his feet, a stronger battle aura surrounding him; leaving her shocked; he glares up at her, an expression of murderous rage on his face)

Mavy: (bewildered) You're kidding. But he was don't for the count; and what is that new power? Did he just level up? No, that's not it, I think he's entered rampage mode*. (Metal Grip leaps up at her, creating another crater where he stood) Oh, give me a break.

Mavy raises and crosses her arms in front of herself and generates a shield for protection against Metal grip's punch but it's of little help as the force of the attack still sends her flying like a speeding bullet into the ground at a different location. Mavy coughs out blood as she tries to pry herself out of the crater she made, using her regeneration tom heal herself, she leaps out of the way to dodge yet another strike, Metal Grip lunges at her again, this time with a kick and she can't react fast enough to dodge or block, getting hit stomach first and getting sent flying back over fifteen feet.

Mavy: (manages to regain her senses in time to land feet first, skidding backwards to a stop; instantly doubles over and throws up blood) He's way stronger than before; this guy just won't stay down. (tries to get stand back upright but drops to her hands and knees) Ugh. I'm almost out of minergy, I barely have enough to both heal myself and transform too; what to do? I guess I could do that, but… (makes a really unsettled expression) …I really don't like doing that.

Mavydoesn't get time to ponder over things though, as she's struck yet again in the stomach that sends her crashing through the windshield of a nearby bus, several more yards away. Mavy lies on the bus floor, surrounded by a pool of blood and broken glass, she feels herself slipping quickly out of consciousness and desperately tries to stay awake but ultimately fails; her mind slipping into a memory of the past.

(flashback)

SCENE:A park in NYC.

a group of kids – boys and girls, all clearly about ages 9-12 – play a game of soccer together, having fun. One boy kicks the ball to his teammate, but it gets snagged by another boy, that boy though, gets dribbled by a girl who runs straight for her opponents' goal.

Milo: (to the girl, running ahead of her) I'm open, I'm open. (the girl kicks the ball to him but he trips and ends up kicking the ball offside)

Boy #1: (laughs) Nice shot Milo.

Girl #1: The ball.

Girl #2: Come on, go get it. (some of the kids run after the ball, but it rolls to a stop at the feet of another kid; the camera panning out to show a much younger Mavy wearing silver sundress tied with pink ribbon)

Mavy: (picks up the ball as she timidly speaks to the other kids, not even looking up) H-Hey, can I play with you? (the kids however, all look at her with fear; too afraid to even step forward)

Boy #2: It's…It's her.

Boy #3: Mavis.

Girl #3: Come on, let's get out of here! (all the kids run away)

Mavy: (holds a hand out in a vain attempt to stop them) No please. I'm not gonna hurt you. Please… (drops the ball and looks down in tears)

Later, Mavy plays alone on the swing sadly, remembering the look on the faces of the kids when they saw her, and how they ran away. Hot tears fall from her eyes as she thinks of all this, when a kind voice calls out from next to her.

Laz: Hey. This spot taken?

Mavy: (looks up to see the younger Laz, smiling kindly at her as he points the swing beside her) Ah… (begins to say something but just shakes her head)

Laz: Great. (sits in the swing and begins to move, laughing cheerfully as he sway back and forth) This is so fun. (Mavy doesn't respond, just stays quiet) You don't talk much, do you?

Mavy: (gasps but just tears up again, speaking in weak mutters) S-Sorry.

Laz: (confused) Why are you apologizing? (she stays silent) Oh, by the way, I'm Laz, what's your name?

Mavy: (now it's her turn to be confused, and surprised) Huh?

Laz: I asked what your is. (she doesn't answer, just stares back down at the floor sadly) It's fine if you don't want to tell me, I'll just call redhead then. Nice to meet you.

To say that Mavy is surprised by the boy's friendliness is an understatement, she's totally dumbfounded at his attitude. He's the first boy, no, the first person in years – sans her family – to speak her at all, let alone so kindly. Does he not know who she is? Does he not care? That said, she's never seen him in this park before and wonders if he's new and thus, doesn't now her. Then she'd better not tell him her name, or he'd just run away too. The two stay like that in comfortable silence till evening.

Laz: (looking up at the sky) Oh wow, is that the time? I better get going. (jumps off the swing and begins to run off; waving to Mavy…) Bye redhead. (…who just stares at his retreating form)

SCENE:Eden flower garden. (some days later)

Mavy crouches on the ground next to a flower bed, picking some daffodils, a sad smile on her face when some people approach her. She notices their presence and turns around, only for her face to turn to total fear. Standing in front of her are four kids – three girls, one boy – all about her age, none looking very friendly. They grin wickedly at her, like predators facing a prey.

Girl #1: Hey, do you guys see someone?

Girl #2: Someone? No, something? Yes. (to the boy) Do you know what it is?

Boy: Yeah, it's a total FREAK! (they laugh)

Girl #3: So, what's the demon being up to? What? Picking flowers for your little monster nest? (Mavy doesn't respond, trembling greatly as she's too scared to even speak)

Boy: (gets mad) Hey freak! (grabs her by the hair, causing her to yell in pain) She's talking to you?! Answer her, bitch! (Mavy still doesn't respond, just cries as she tries to bear the pain)

Girl #2: I think this cocky brat needs to taught a lesson.

Girl #3: (nods) I think so too.

Boy: (makes a wide, slasher grin…) With pleasure. (…and rears his arm back, fist ready for a punch, when…)

Laz: How 'bout I teach you a lesson. (all five turn to see a very pissed off Laz leaning on a wall-like hedge)

Boy: (drops Mavy and marches up to him angrily) The hell? Who're you?! (Laz doesn't reply, instead he just smirks cruelly; some moments later, screams are heard from the garden and the four punks run away)

Laz: (walks over to help Mavy up; stretching out his hand) You okay. (Mavy looks at his hand cautiously, before ultimately deciding to accept it and stand up) What was all that? Why didn't you stand up for yourself? (Mavy hesitates for a few seconds, not sure if she should tell him the truth, but decides to do so anyway; after she reveals everything) I see. So that's it. (she cowers, waiting for him to run away or call her a monster) My god, people really are the scum of the earth, aren't they? Whatever your skill is, it shouldn't be the reason why people would treat you badly. (these words surprise Mavy, it being the first time anyone has ever said such words to her) Listen, it doesn't matter what your skills are, or what people think of them, all that matters is what you think of them. If you have a gift, use it, don't let others put you down just because they don't understand it.

Mavy: (timidly) B-But…what can I do with useless skills like mine?

Laz: (waves his hand dismissively) Ah, spare me. There's no such thing as a useless skill, just useless people. You don't want to seen as useless? Then make yourself look useful. It doesn't matter what the skill is, but what you do with it. (gives her an encouraging smile and a thumbs up) So go on, show everyone what redhead can really do.

Mavy: (blushes as she lets out a small chuckle) M-Mavis.

Laz: (surprised) Huh?

Mavy: My name is Mavis.

Laz: (comically puts his hand on his chin) Mavis huh? It's nice, but truth be told, I like redhead better. (she chuckles more; he playfully brings out his hand for a handshake) Well, nice meet you…

(flashback ends)

Laz: (memory) …Mavis.

Mavy: (regains consciousness and struggles to get back up; using a seat as support) Laz's right. I can't keep living in fear of my own abilities forever. They're a part of me, it's time I started acting like it. He said it all defends on what I use them for, Okay then, I'll use my skill to take him down…! (Metal Grip grabs the front of the bus and rips it off; tearing the bus in half)

Metal Grip: There you are! (lunges for another devasting punch, but Mavy swiftly evades the attack and grips his arm tightly; shocking him) What?!

Mavy: …and rescue my friend! 'PARTIAL ABSORPTION'! (begins to absorb this same tri-colored aura from the man's body)

Metal Grip: (shocked and frightened) Hey! W-What are you?! Stop! Stop it! (begins to grow weaker rapidly while Mavy's injuries insta-heal)

Metal Grip struggles hard to, and finally breaks free from her grip. He drops to one knee and begins to breath hard, not being to stand properly. He looks at his hand, watching it tremble as he sweats profusely; his murderous rage vanished. He puts his hand to his other knee and looks to up her, not believing what just happened.

Metal Grip: I'm trembling? Most of my power is gone? No wait… (watches as she walks up to him, back at full strength) …my power isn't gone, she took it. Just…Just who is this girl?

Mavy: (glares at him) This fight's over.

Metal Grip: (flinches) …!

Mavy turns her fists into stone and lunges at him, unleashing a barrage of punches on him he attempts to block with his arms, but with most of his power and minergy gone, his defense is not nearly enough to protect him and his arms get covered in cracks. She then charges her right fist with a load aura and delivers a powerful slam to him that not only destroys his arms with boom and explosion of force, but also sends him flying backwards into the solid wall of a building. He slumps down, unconscious, the remnants of arms just bleeding stumps.

Metal Grip: (consciousness quickly fading) How could I…lose…to…to a little…

Mavy just glares down at his slumped frame, scoffs and finally manages to really run off to help her friends. She leaps onto a building and runs off in the direction of her friends, leaping from building to building as she keeps her eyes forward when after a while, she suddenly detects a familiar aura signature. She looks over to see Neil on the side of the road, rubbing his eyes.

Mavy: (surprised) Neil? (Neil stands there on the sidewalk, blinking and rubbing his eyes as his vision already largely back, but still pretty blurred; she leaps towards him) Hey, Neil.

Neil: (turns around to the call of his name…) Huh? (…but only vaguely sees Mavy's blurry image, though he still manages to recognize her) Mavy?

SCENE:The warehouse.

Lazarus delivers a storm of sword slashes unto a handful of mobsters; knocking them out. Calculette summons a storm of spikes in the sky and sends them flying straight at the mobsters; slashing them down. One mobster rushes at her with a glowing hand in a karate chop, and delivers a slash at her which she tries to block with a wall which fails miserably as they slice through it completely. She stares at them in shock at her shield's easy destruction, the mobster attempts to slash her next, but Sound Wave saves her in time, blasting a sonic wave at them.

Calculette: (sighs in relief) Thanks.

Sound Wave: (nods) No problem. But what exactly's going?

Calculette: You're right. The reports said they were all tier-knights at best, but they seem to be tier-bishop--

Lazarus: (yells off-screen) Look out you dunces! (they turn around to see another mobster dashing towards them with their hands into iron claw-gauntlets, the two leap away, Lazarus rushes towards them and slashes them across the chest)

Crashhopper: (lunges into the air, foot blazing sapphire with a sadistic grin) Don't forget about your actual opponent. (Lazarus blocks it with his kick, the impact the attack still having enough power to send him flying straight through a wall with enough force to leave a giant whole in its place; everyone present just stares in surprise at the action, Lazarus gets back up, sword still in one hand and rubbing the back of his neck, glaring at the villain)

Crashhopper: (raising a leg in another battle stance and lets out a chuckle) You're harder to kill than a cockroach.

Lazarus: … (rubs blood dropping from his lips and spitting out blood)

Both metas charge at eachother, they clash sword and boot, sparks flying as both weapons touch. Crashhopper drops to his side and performs a legswipe which Lazarus dodges with a hop and spins to deliver a dropkick, which the villain leaps away from. Black Ant slams his hammer on the ground, causing a tremor that shakes the entire district, Manhandle drops to the ground from the shake; he stands back up and waves his hands in the air, creating giant sand fists. He sends the fists flying at Black Ant who twirls his hammer to block then leaps at Manhandle to strike again, Manhandle turns into a puddle of sand which splits apart to dodge.

He rejoins together, reconstitutes himself and swings an elongated arm at Black Ant, the villain however blocks it with a swing of his hammer. Black Ant glares at him, raises his hand into the air and enlarges it greatly before bringing it down on his opponent. Don Weaver – who is able to stand up during Gravitator's brief moment of distraction – points his weapon at Gravitator and fires a blast that hits him squarely on the chest and sends him flying and screaming in pain; the high-tiers all look stunned at this action.

Calculette: Manhandle!

Sound Wave: (grits his teeth) …! Goddammit!

Gravitator: …! (sits up from the ground as he groans as blood drips from his mouth, hand to his bleeding chest) This suit is supposed to withstand a wrecking ball hit, what kind of punch does that thing pack?

Don Weaver: (grins and chuckles evilly as he aims the blaster at Gravitator) Goodbye space boy. (prepares to fire again but gets hit by a sonic attack)

Calculette: (runs to Gravitator…) Sir, are you okay? (…)

Sound Wave: (stands in front of them) Calculette, heal him. I'll take care of him. (Don Weaver gets back up to attack but gets kicked in the face by Sound Wave propelled by his sound waves)

Gravitator: No, wait. You can't beat him alone.

Sound Wave: It doesn't matter! I'll hold him off!

Don Weaver: (gets back up again, rubbing his cheek) … You annoying punk. (fires at Sound Wave who in turn blocks it with sonic blast)

Calculette: (Gravitator tries to get up but Calculette stops him) Sir, please hold still. 'HEALING GLOW'. (begins to heal him)

Sound Wave: (groans as he struggles to block the attack) Darn! This is tough.

Gravitator: (looks up behind Calculette to see the remaining handful of mobsters running up to them) Calculette! Behind you! (she turns to see what's happening, but he sends a gravity wave that sends most of them flying before trying to get again)

Calculette: (stopping him again) No. Stay put. I'm almost done healing you. (goes back to healing him; his wounds near-instantaneously closing)

One mobster who didn't get blown away, fires a swarm of energy bolts at them, Calculette senses this and contemplates what to do since she's still healing her proctor. Fortunately, Gravitator projects a barrier to block it with an outstretched hand and with a sideswipe of his hand to the left, a wave of gravity suddenly sends the mobster flying sideways in the same direction into a wall. Calculette then finally lets him back up, his injuries fully healed, then turns to face the remaining mobsters. One of them summons a large metal object like a giant clock hand, another one turns his arms into tentacles, one more takes to the sky, summoning an armor of bone around their body.

Calculette projects a wall to block the clock hand slash, then traps them in an 'ELEGANT CUBE'. The trapped mafia member madly thrashes the walls of the box, beginning to crack it, Calculette struggles to keep it up. The second swings a tentacle at her, elongating it on the way, Gravitator extends his own at them, then swings it up, sending them shooting up into the sky like a rocket. The third one flies straight to him at top speed, catching him off-guard, the mobster delivers a punch to him but he raises and crosses his arms in front of himself and manifests a gravity shield to block it, the mobster getting bounced back into the air upon impact.

Kyle and Candy finally make it to the warehouse, landing in its compound, they look around at the prologue of the battle that – by the sound of it – is still going on. Kyle lets out surprised whistle as they walk towards the front door, they look on with surprise and amazement at the ongoing fight. Crashhopper swings a blazing kick at Lazarus who backflips in place to dodge and delivers a diagonal slash down at his chest, which the villain flashsteps out of the way. He skids backwards to a stop and sports a small, cocky grin, only for it to turn into a look of shock as a long, diagonal gash across his chest. Crashhopper wobbly tries to get up but quickly falls back to the ground; coughing out blood.

Crashhopper: What? I dodged it, didn't I? How did he…?

Candy: (impressed) Woah.

Kyle: (smiles proudly…) That's still Laz, alright. (…then takes a good look at the people around; turning to the enforcers…) Judging by the outfits, those are Laz's squadmates… (…and then to their opponents) …and they… (eyes widen in realization) …the Spider Cartel?! These guys are major- to special-grade villains and disaster-level rogues; these are the people Laz is meant to fight?!

Crashhopper: (growls angrily at Lazarus) You detestable BRAT! (lunges at him)

Lazarus dodges a flying kick, Crashhopper lands with his back to him and sends a backwards, sideways chop which Lazarus blocks with force field and stabs the arm; causing the villain to scream. Crashhopper stumbles forward, grabbing his injured arm and turns to him, both stare at eachother intently and lunge towards eachother, ready to strike. Crashhopper sends a sapphire-blazing right foot at Lazarus, who swings his sword at him, time seems to slow down as the attacks collide, but Lazarus suddenly blocks the foot with his sword before creating a second gun and slashes the foot right off; the villain screams out loud from the attack. Everyone present, turns towards the two, looking on at the climax of their battle with mixes of shock, disbelief and impression.

The scene fades to black as the chapter ends.

STORY CONTINUES IN CHAPTER: 25 (NIGHTTIME BRAWL VI: CONFRONTATION)

*Rampage mode is a mental state of violent frenzy that metas go through when they suffered from intense of rage or grief, resulting in a near-psychotic rampage; hence the name. As metas are easily susceptible to their emotions, they can easily lose themselves if the emotions are extremely strong, causing them to go into a blind – often murderous – rage. This state is temporary, but grants the meta an incredible boost of power and sometimes a release full or latent power. Metas more often than not, experience a lesser, more controlled version as kids when their skills first awaken.
