SCENE: Enforcement HQ. Interrogation room.
Inside a dimly-lit room stand four individuals; well, two are standing, the other two are sat in chairs, their hands bound to the two-person table in front of them via mounted dampener cuffs. Of the two standing, one is Chief Rammo, glaring intently at the two being interrogated with the other – his subordinate – standing far behind him at the corner of the room, right next to the door. The two being interrogated being the Red and Pink Armors; or rather, the guards being made to look like them.
Chief Rammo: (screaming angrily) I TOLD YOU SHUT UP!
Lennie: (terrified; disguised as Red Armor) B-But Chief, we're telling you, it's us Lennie and Irwin.
Irwin: (sobbing; disguised as Pink Armor) It's really us, please believe us.
Chief Rammo: (getting angrier) CAUGHT THE ACT! DO YOU TOO TAKE ME FOR A FOOL?!(the two just continue crying, begging him to believe them until Bishop enters the room)
Bishop: (sees the whole ordeal) Oh my, what's all this? Have you already begun interrogation without me?
Chief Rammo: (turns to Bishop) Sir. They've been like this since we found them passed out in their cell.
Bishop: (intrigued) Passed out?
Chief Rammo: Yes sir. We opened the door to find them unconscious, and they've being claiming to be guards Lennie and Irwin since. Said guards were for some reason not at their posts, guarding the cell like they were supposed to.
Lennie: That's what we're trying to tell you. We were guarding the cell, but somehow, they opened the door from the inside and got out.
Irwin: Right. Then they--
Chief Rammo: (screaming at the two) IF YOU'RE GONNA LIE, THEN TELL ONE THAT ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE. THOSE DOORS ARE SPECIALLY DESIGNED TO NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE!
Bishop: (pats the chief guard's shoulder to calm him) That's enough Rammo. Hmmm. (Bishop stares intently at the two scared guards, seeming to examine them)
Irwin: (terrified) Please, believe us.(Bishop reaches out to Irwin's face and rips the mask off, shocking everyone present as the guard's through appearance returns; he then turns to Lennie and does the same)
Chief Rammo: (flabbergasted) Huh? what...?
Bishop: (turns to the Chief and the other guard) It seems we have intruders in the building. Look for them.
Chief Rammo: Yes sir! (the two run off)
Elsewhere...
DINN.
The multivator's door slide open, finally reaching its destination.
Multivator AI: You have reached your destination. (Neil dashes down the hallway to Lazarus' room)
Neil: I have to get to Laz's room as fast as I can. My plan involved disguising the two guards posted outside our cell to look Red and Pink to by us some time until we could finish our mission. But that won't last long; I wouldn't be surprised if they've already figured out that those two are actually the guards. In that case... (finally reaches the door, then turns to looks for the security cameras, spotting one down the hall) Alright, "LINK! INTERGRATE FOOTAGE, DELETE MEMORY".(all the camera footage and memory are destroyed, alerting everyone in the main command room)Now..."SHORT CIRCUIT". (the circuits of all the camera fry up, destroying them) Now not only can they not track us, they can't watch the footage to figure out who we are. Okay then.
Neil opens the door with his skill and heads inside. At the same time, Lazarus makes his way into the building. The workers had already gone home for the night, having paused their work to finish tomorrow. He walks in through the front gate and casually strolls to the front door of the partially recompleted building. He suddenly stops, staring intently at the empty air in front of him.
Lazarus: (annoyed) I'd appreciate it if you moved.
Security Guard: ... (materializes into visibility with in Lazarus' way) How did you know I was there?
Lazarus: None of your concern.
Security Guard: Where were you all afternoon?
Lazarus: Training.
Security Guard: There are special room built for training purposes.
Lazarus: I needed a bigger space... (teleports to staircase behind the guard within seconds, surprising him) ...and as you can see, it paid off. (walks into the building)
Security Guard: ... Damn brat. Got a little promotion now he's acting like he can whatever he wants. (Lazarus heads towards the multivator, pushing the single button on the wall next to its doors to open it, but...)
BUZZZ!
Lazarus: (confused) Hmm? (tries again but just gets a buzz every time) The multivator's broken? (sighs) It seems like ever since that attack this place is just falling apart. (he proceeds to walk to the stairs; on the third floor, he walks up the stairway, pausing a bit to look at the massive hole at far end of the hall, caused by Kyle's attack and yet to be repaired)
Lazarus: That Kalahan kid was incredibly powerful. If want to match him, I have to be incredibly strong too. (he continues at the twist to walk up the stair to the fourth floor, at the same time a young, black-haired boy with blue eyes around his age runs down the stairs; time seems to slow down as both boys move past eachother, their eyes meeting for just a single second)
Lazarus: (surprised) Huh?
Neil: (equally stunned) Laz?
SCENE: HQ Fifth Floor. (just five minutes ago)
Neil runs down the corridor to the multivator, stopping just in front of it. He wills the door to open but rather than getting inside, he takes of the uniform and throws it into the machine – his to before willing it to close.
Neil: Travel to the topmost floor, then...once stopped for any reason, total multivator system break down. (the machine begins to ascend while he takes off towards the stairs while removing his mask) This is good. If they try to track me through the multivator, they'll just get derailed, and once the move stops, the whole system breaks down. This will give me time to get out of here. Let's see... (checks the building's layout in his head) ...if make it to the fourth floor, I can escape through the giant hole Kyle made. (Neil runs down the stairs as fast as he can, adjusting his speed at the turns. Suddenly however...)
Mavy: (over the earpiece) NEEIIILLLL...!
...his earpiece blares back to life, sending Mavy's voice like siren straight into Neil's mind's ear; making him scream in pain and trip on the steps, almost causing him to fall. Neil groans as steady himself, putting his hands to his head, clutching his sides of his temples in pain; tears dropping from his eyes gritting his teeth.
Neil: (psychically screams at her) GAH, WHAT THE HELL?! Are you trying to make my brain explode or something?!
Mavy: Sorry. Neil listen I've got news.
Neil: Tell me later. We've got to get to out of here. Where are you now?
Mavy: (crawling through the vents) I'm in the vent right now. Where should go?
Neil: (checks the vents' blueprint in his head) Take a right turn at your next junction, keep moving forward, ignoring every other turn until the fourth one. Straight ahead is vent pathway that leads directly outside.
Mavy: Got it.
Neil continues down the steps, he makes his turn on the stairs to get to the fourth floor. Just as he descends the stairs, another boy – Lazarus – ascends it. Both boys are left momentarily stunned as the make eye contact upon passing.
Lazarus: (surprised) Huh?
Neil: (equally stunned) Laz?
Neil lands left foot first on the tiles of the fourth floor, several feet away from the bottom step. Skidding to a stop, his eyes never turn away from Lazarus', which in turn, never look away from Neil's. both boys hold expressions of shock and surprise. Neil for seeing the face and new look of his friend, and Lazarus for seeing a face that for some reason, looks familiar to him.
Mavy: (over earpiece) Neil? Neil, where are you, I'm almost at the exit.
Neil: (snapping back to reality) ... (Neil, after what felt like forever – though it's only been a few seconds – finally turns away from Lazarus and makes his way to the large hole at the far end of the larger hallway)
Neil: I'm on my way.
He sprints to it at full speed, his stunned expression back to his default apathetic one. He leaps unto a piece of building material from the reconstruction, and in one bound, flies out of the hole; using his enhanced speed and agility to fly straight into the entrance of the nearby forest. All the while, Lazarus just watches the whole thing, a look of surprise, confusion and interest on his face.
Lazarus: Who?
Security Guards: (screaming in the background) Where'd they go?! Look for them! We have to find them!
SCENE: A bit past the mouth of the forest.
Neil pants heavily, trying to steady his breathing and regain his strength as stays crouched to the floor on one knee and hand, the other hand on the other knee. He then slows down his breathing pace, taking slow, long breaths and letting them back out as such. Once his breathing is made stable again, he gets up and looks around.
Neil: (holding up the earpiece to his mouth and speaking into it) Mavy? You there? Where are you?
Mavy: (squeaky) Right here.
Neil turns around to see Mavy's spider form buzz all the way to him before turning back to a regular human girl. Neil nods and sighs before turning off his skill as well and taking out the disc-like device. He presses the screen and it changes back into a bag, which he opens to bring out his cellphone.
SCENE: Kalahan Manor. (a few minutes later)
Kyle's already on the phone with Neil, who's making way home with Mavy.
Kyle: I take it the mission was a success?
Neil: Yeah. Everything went according to plan. We've planted the bug that'll give access to all of Enforcement's files and any new file the moment it enters the system. I've also planted the flashdrive in Laz's room, he'll find it as soon he enters.
Kyle: Good work. I trust they can't trace you.
Neil: No. we had them running in circles the who time. It took them a while to figure out the Red and Pink Armors in their custody is actually just two guards. Unfortunately, they were too little too late. By the time they'd figure things out, I was already in and out of Laz's room. I sent the multivator up to the top floor to throw them off, then broke down the entire machine to stop them from accessing it. with that it was just to run down the steps and escape through one of the holes in the building while also guiding Mavy. If we're lucky, they still think the two armors are responsible. It'll be a while before they realize that's not the case, and when that happens, they'll surely know what happened to them. Oh well. That's not our problem now.
Kyle: Alright then, good job. You guys can go home. Candy fell asleep waiting for you so she's staying in a guess room.
Neil: Okay. (feels Mavy pull on his sleeve) Oh yeah. Mavy has something she wants to talk to us about.
Kyle: That'll have to be tomorrow. Bye.
Neil: Right, bye.
Kyle: (the call ends) I hope this all works out.
Neil: (turns to Mavy) Candy's already called it in for the night. Kyle says we can too.
Mavy: Okay. What time is it?
Neil: Hmmm. (looks at his phone)
20:16
Neil: Not too late. Want to go grab dinner on the way? I'm starving and it is too far away to head home on an empty stomach.
Mavy: Sure. I'm famished myself.
SCENE: Enforcement HQ. Lazarus' Room.
Lazarus walks into his room and heads to the sink to wash his face. He looks around the room. Bishop had promised to give him a better one now that he is officially a top-tier enforcer, but with current state of the building, that wasn't happening anytime soon. Lazarus sighs as he sits on his bed, not noticing the flashdrive on top of the drawers next to his bed. He thinks back to his solo training in the forest, his quickly returning memory and the boy he saw on the way up. He just can't scratch the fact that he knew the boy from somewhere.
He groans as he grabs his head, his memory-induced headaches have become less painful, though they do still arise everytime a fragment of his memory returns; each time the pain becomes a bit more bearable. New blurry images flash in his mind. Ones of himself with another boy, whose face he can't see, and whose voice he can barely hear. He tries to remember more but the pain suddenly spikes, causing him to double over and grunts, panting hard.
Lazarus: (sweating from mental exhaustion) Damn!
He reaches his over to the drawers, not to take the flashdrive, but to grab the glass cup behind it. Just as he firmly grips the cup, a sudden knock on the door startles him a bit. Causing him to slide the cup of the drawer, knocking it into flashdrive as he does so, accidently sending the latter to the floor. It doesn't break but when Lazarus hops off his bed to answer the door, his foot unknowingly hits the device, sending it sliding under the bed. He drops back the cup and walks to the door and opens it, finding a guard on the other side.
Security Guard: Mr. Lazarus. We are searching for Red and Pink Armor. They escaped from their cell, attacked two guards and hid themselves somewhere. Did you happen to come across them by any chance?
Lazarus: (clearly surprised by this) Red and Pink? They're back? When? Sorry, no. I didn't see anyone like that.
Security Guard: (bows...) Okay, thank you. (...and leaves)
Lazarus: (shuts the door and heads back to bed) Red and Pink? Locked in a cell? What's going on? (meanwhile in Bishop's office, he sits in his chair, staring at the two masks in his possession, clearly in deep thought.; one mask in his hand, while the other's on his table)
Bishop: Hmmm. If they aren't in the building anymore, then they likely already escaped, but...if that's the case, why did they come back here in the first place? What could they want? The cameras are all wiped and the multivators are out of order. Whatever they did, they didn't want anyone interfering or tracking them. But what...? (looks intently at the mask in front of him) Maybe I'll find an answer with these. (reality turns out to not be that nice however, as the masks both suddenly spark out and spontaneously combust, burning to ashes)
Bishop: I see. An emergency delayed self-destruct mode set to activate automatically after the masks were removed. They came prepared to make sure that they not only bought as much time as possible to obtain their objective but also not leave any trace behind. Smart...a little too smart.
SCENE: Somewhere in the city, not too far from the Low-rank district.
After finishing a meal as their dinner, Neil and Mavy make their way to the closest train station. They chat animatedly as they walk, or rather, Mavy chats whilst Neil, through to his stoic nature, just "listens", giving occasional nods and single-word responses – mainly just hmm and sure. Eventually Neil finally decides to speak.
Neil: Hey Mavy.
Mavy: Yeah?
Neil: While I was heading out of Enforcement, I bumped into --
Cassandra: (screams) HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME!
The sudden shout for help catches the two off-guard, they stand alert and look around for where the voice came from. Mavy spots it first, pointing a finger in a direction ahead of them for Neil to see too. Sure enough, they see young woman, possibly in her early twenties or late teens slumped on the ground, arms raised to protect herself as she is surrounded by three thuggish, fully-grown guys.
Cassandra: (terrified) No! Stay back! Get away!
Brolo: (grinning predatorially) Uh...what's wrong cutie?
Kovan: (advancing slowly with an evil smirk on his face) Yeah, we're just looking to have some fun.
Rouker: (leaning down towards her) We promise it won't hurt.
Cassandra: Leave me alone (tries to run away but is grabbed by arm by Brolo) No...!
Brolo: (baby-talking) Come on, don't be like that.
Neil: Disgusting.
Brolo: (a little caught off-guard) Huh?
Brolo turns his face in the direction of the voice, only to be sent flying with a punch that sends him straight into a nearby brick wall; hard enough to leave a crater and incapacitate the guy. The other two thugs and the girl all stare in shock at what just happened. They see Neil already at their side, left fist extended out for the punch. He relaxes his stance and turns to the rest of them.
Rouker: (furious) Why you...!
Kovan: (equally livid) Who do you think you are?!
Rouker: We'll show you what happens when you mess with those stronger than you! (both guys rush at Neil to attack him but...)
POW! WHAM!
...in what looks like a single second – maybe less – both guys are left unconscious on the ground. Neil just looks down at them with the same unreadable expression of emptiness that betrayed no emotion. He turns to the girl whom is being helped by Mavy.
Mavy: (crouches down to the still slumped girl) Hey, you okay? (she looks at them wearily) Don't worry, we're not gonna hurt. (helps her up) I'm Mavy and this is Neil... (gestures to him) ...what's your name?
The young lady, clearly older than both teens, just stares at them fearfully for a bit; not fully sure if she can trust them. She's tall, standing a head taller than Neil – who's already about a head taller than Mavy – has pale skin, long, light-orange hair that she wears over her right shoulder and ocean-blue eyes. She's wearing a white, long-sleeved button-up shirt under a pair pale-blue overalls and tan shoes.
Cassandra: (timidly) C-Cassandra.
Mavy: Nice to meet you Cassandra.
Neil: This place can be dangerous at night. What are you doing here?
Cassandra: I was just on my way home from my part-time job, when...
Neil: You were ambushed. (she nods meekly)
Mavy: (sympathetic) Oh...I'm sorry you had to go through that.
Cassandra: Oh it's okay. Since you saved me and all.
Mavy: This area doesn't particularly have any residences, where do you live?
Cassandra: Oh, I live in Horough Hills. (this response catches both teen off-guard)
Neil: She lives in Horouh hills? That's one of the five regions that make up the Low-rank district. To my knowledge, mostly only tier-pawns and weak tier-rooks actually live there. (looks intently at Cassandra) I suppose that explains why she didn't defend her herself. Or rather, she couldn't.
Cassandra: Well, I better get home. Thanks for saving me, by the way.
Mavy: Are you sure it's still safe? We could walk you home.
Neil: Ah...we could?
Cassandra: Oh that's not necessary. You've done enough already. My home isn't that far from here. (turns to leave but begins to look unsure; something Mavy doesn't miss)
Mavy: Nope. It definitely is if it's in Horough Hills.
Cassandra: But--
Mavy: (grabs her hand and pulls her along) Don't worry, we insist.
Cassandra: But that's not necessary.
Neil: Just give up. Once she gets like this, nobody can say no to her. (inwardly sighs) This is going to be a long night.
SCENE: A neighborhood in Horough Hills.
Neil and Mavy walk Cassandra home. Mavy attempts to make small talk with he while Neil just stares on to the road ahead of him, no particular thought in mind. Mavy's attempt at chit-chat with Cassandra – after some time and persistence – eventually bears some fruit, as Cassandra finally begins to feel more comfortable around them and open up to them. Through the chat, Mavy learns a few things about Cassandra, such as how she's the only child of a single mother, whom she lives alone with, how she dropped out of college to find a job to her mom whom doesn't even get paid enough for food and upkeep where she works, etc. Neil, for his own part, just walks ahead absentmindedly. That is, until he notices the many eyes on him and the two girls. He looks around to see many people spying on them through the windows, the curtains pushed away just enough to let them see, then pulled by up swiftly as to hide themselves. This, and the worried and nervous expressions on their faces, don't escape Neil's notice.
Neil: Hmmm. (he looks over at the girls to see that Mavy has also noticed the gazes as she subtly turns towards them)
Mavy: Hey um, Cassandra, are we almost at your place?
Cassandra: (nods) Yeah! That's it actually. (points and runs up to purple-roofed house; Mavy and Neil following suit)
Neil: Mavy...
Mavy: I know.
Cassandra walks up the doorstep and knocks on the door. After a few seconds, some sounds can be heard and the door opens, just a bit to left person on the other side peek out to it is, then it's opened widely to allow passage. The person on the other side: a tall – a head taller than even Cassandra – middle-aged woman with the features as the younger female, basically looking like an older Cassandra. She wears a red turtleneck on black sweatpants.
Anika: Cassandra! (gets teary-eyed as she hugs her daughter)
Cassandra: Mom. (also begins to cry as she hugs her back; the other two just stand on the porch, watching the embrace silently, not wanting to interrupt)
Anika: (pulls out of the embrace) Oh Cassandra. Where have you been? You're back late. I called your workplace but they said you left an hour ago. (finally notices the two highschoolers with her daughter) Who are these? (a while later, all four are seated in the living room – Mavy and Neil on the couch, Anika on an armchair and Cassandra on a stool, facing the pair; Mavy and Neil had been served hot tea and cookies)
Anika: I hope they're okay. I wish I could do more to thank you.
Mavy: They're fine, thanks.
Neil: And there's no need to thank us ma'am...
Anika: Call me Anika.
Neil: There's no need to thank us Anika. We someone in trouble and we helped. Anyone would have done the same.
Anika: Still, I can't thank you enough. I don't know what I would have done if anything had happened to-- (squeezes the hem of her turtleneck tightly with both hands)
Cassandra: (grabs her hand) Mom, it's okay. (soothingly) I'm okay.
Anika: (sighs, calming down) Sorry. I just...
Mavy: It's okay ma'am.
Neil: If you really want to thank us, you'll tell us all about what's up with the community.
Mavy: (turns to him looking a bit annoyed at his brazen attitude) Really Neil?
Neil: (ignoring her) While coming here, we noticed some odd gazes coming from most off your neighbors. Why is that?
Mavy: (frantically waving her hands) You don't have to answer if you don't want to of course--
Anika: (calmly) Meh, It's fine. It won't do us any good to keep it to ourselves anyway. (the two listen carefully as she talks) Where to begin? I guess it all started after Wallace into power.
Neil: Wallace?
Cassandra: (nods) He's the head of the district. Current head anyway.
Mavy: Current head?
Neil: So he wasn't before?
Anika: (shakes her head) No. Not before. And things were a lot better before he took charge and he and his gang took over.
Mavy: His gang?
Cassandra: Brolo, Kovan, Rouker and all others. Just people who do whatever Wallace says and follow his orders to terrorize the district.
Neil: You mean you knew those guys?
Cassandra: Yes. They're part of his gang. And they've doing his deeds ever since he took over the entire district.
Mavy: You say he took over the district. How do you mean?
Neil: Feel free to start from the beginning, but leave out unnecessary details.
Anika: Well, I suppose it all started five months ago. The district was originally ruled by a kind but strict man treated us all equally. Wallace, at the time, was a servant in his household. He wasn't exactly the best servant to have though, always messing up, not following orders properly, slacking off, being late, the likes.
Mavy: (jokingly) I'm guessing he wasn't the head's favorite help.
Anika: (chuckles) No, quite the opposite actually. Naturally, the district head had enough and of course, it was only a matter of time before he was fired. Surprisingly, Wallace threw a fit. He couldn't understand why he was being let go. He didn't seem to realize his own fault in the matter. he tried to resist and put up a fight but...
Neil: He was no match for the head.
Anika: (lets out a short but loud laugh) He was even strong enough to get past the head's guards. He defeated rather easily and promptly kicked out. No one saw him in the district again after that. Some thought he just moved away, unable to bear the humiliation. No one saw or heard anything about him since then. That is...until about two months later. Wallace returned. Not only did he return, he was stronger, far stronger than before. He easily defeated the district head's guards and all others that stood in his way, then he humiliated the head and took over as the district's new lord. He's been ruling ever since.
Cassandra: Things have been nothing but hell for everyone here since that happened. I mean, we weren't exactly living the easy life here back when the former lord was in charge, but after Wallace took control, life couldn't be worse.
Neil: How so?
Cassandra: Large taxes, forced labor, violent gang activities. He basically just does whatever pleases him at the expense of everyone else.
Mavy: And people just let him do that?
Cassandra: Anyone who resists or revolts against him is either locked up in the manor's cells or assaulted by his men. No one can stand up against him, and no one who does is strong enough to stop him.
Neil: I see. So basically, this Wallace guy disappeared after getting fired for two months then returns to take over as head of the low-rank district and enslave all its inhabitants.
Anika: (nods) Pretty much.
Mavy: Can't you just call the authorities for help?
Anika: (lets out a small laugh) The authorities couldn't care less what happens to us lower-ranks. We're dispensable to them.
Mavy: That isn't true.
Neil: It's very true.
Mavy: What?
Neil: You already know that the only thing that cuts it in this world is strength. Only the strong have any real power, any real significance. And if you're not strong, you have no value. The law has always been selective, it's not gonna waste its time on something it doesn't consider of any value.
Mavy: That's rather harsh, you know.
Anika: But it's true though. The authorities won't offer a hand to help us if we begged for a thousand years. Look, don't worry about us. That's just the way things are: The strong rules over the weak and the weak just folds and does as they're told. You two are young and have your whole lives ahead of you, don't waste it worrying about a bunch of strangers in the least valued region of the city. We've been managing that way for years, anyway.
Mavy and Neil: ...
Sometime past after that, Mavy and Cassandra chat some more, while Anika tidies up the kitchen and Neil toys away on his phone. The girls chat animatedly as Neil fixes a focused gaze on his phone, when he sees something that catches his attention; making his eyes widen slightly.
Mavy: Yeah. He slept right through the whole movie. I get that boys don't usually care much for romance genres, but honestly, it's like he's actively trying to pass himself off as antiromantic.
Cassandra: (chuckles) Well boys will be boys.
Neil: (interjects) Mind if I steal her for a bit? (drags Mavy with to a corner of the room)
Mavy: (confused) What is it?
Neil: I took a little interest in this Wallace guy after hearing about him, so i decided to find out what I can about him.
Mavy: And...?
Neil: Well, this is what came up. (he raises his phone to her, showing her a profile page with the headshot of a middle-aged man with cobalt hair and green eyes)
FIRSTNAME: Wallace AGE: XXX
LASTNAME: Dinley D.O.B.: XX/XX/XXXX
OTHERNAMES: Leone GENDER: Male
OCCUPATION: Unemployed
RESIDENCE: 47, Elmo Street, Horough Hills
SKILL(S): Energy Balls, Audio Dissonance
LEVEL: 3.0
Neil: According to this, this guy shouldn't be strong enough to overpower an entire district alone.
Mavy: Outdated info, perhaps?
Neil: Perhaps? But something just doesn't make sense to me.
Unknown to the people inside, something becomes amiss outside. Two cars pulled just outside of the residence and four people step out of each - six men and two women. They surround the building, as one steps a foot closer, alarm bells seem to go off in Mavy's head; alerting her of the unexpected and unwanted visitors.
Mavy: (nonchalantly) We've got company.
Cassandra: (suddenly fearful) What?!
Neil: (sighs in lack of surprise as he gets up and stretches) Took them long enough.
Mavy: (gets up as well) Yeah.
Cassandra: (confused) Huh? What?
Neil: Cassandra, go to the kitchen with your mom and don't come out of the house. (turns to Mavy and gestures to the door with his head) Come on. (Mavy nods and follows)
Cassandra: (even more confused) What are you going to do?
Neil: (speaking as if it were the most casual reply in the world) Simple. We're gonna find Wallace; then we're gonna take him down.
The scene fades to black as the CHAPTER ends.
STORY CONTINUES IN CHAPTER: 15 (DISTRICT FIGHTERS I: GANG OF BULLIES)
