Andrew's heart thundered loudly in his chest, his own heartbeat rang in his ears, and his heart was completely shaken, shaken by him. A weird sensation filled his entire being as he focused on only Elio's certain words.
Andrew's enemy was his enemy.
As those words sank into him, his breath stuck in his chest as numerous thoughts raced through his mind.
Why? Why would his enemy be Elio's enemy too? Those words of Elio's made Andrew a mess. It made Andrew feel protected, cherished, special, and not alone. It made him feel he was important to him. He couldn't understand why he was so important to him.
And more than that, he couldn't figure out why even a small word or action of Elio was affecting him like that, why he was shaken by him like that. Maybe it was because Elio was the first person to do all those things for him. Was it?
Perhaps. Maybe. He didn't know. All he knew was that he was slowly getting under his skin.
