As the reality finally settled into her mind, the frantic beating of her heart returned to normal, and her breathing started to get back to usual. Her panic and spiraling thoughts slowly vanished as her mind slowly relaxed.
Isabella gazed into Nicholas's eyes that had pulled her back from the edge and stopped herself from spiraling as he anchored her. Then she slowly recalled why she was in the car and fully became aware of her surroundings.
