The loud sound of music pounded in Andrew's ears along with the familiar voice that had just been spoken, its words lingering in the air. Andrew's glass pushed against his lips, and his eyebrows slowly knotted together as he absorbed the words and the familiarity in the voice.
Andrew for a second thought if he had heard it wrong—maybe all the alcohol he had consumed started to take effect, messing with him. But that thought shattered the moment Elio leaned in a little more; his smile widened, and his eyes filled with clear enthusiasm as he spoke excitedly.
"What a beautiful coincidence, isn't it?"
Andrew, realizing that he didn't mishear, closed his eyes as the fact that it was real made his annoyance grow. He tilted his head slightly and poked his tongue into his inner cheek in anger.
His guard instantly went up like a thin wall, and he placed his glass on the bar counter with a loud click before slowly glancing at the person sitting next to him, smiling far too excitedly.
