Selene's voice was low, such that only Inez could hear her. Her eyes were so much like Killian's, and with the matching concern overflowing in her, it started to unveil the strings. Her barely concealed concern hit immediately, and Inez felt her breathing turning stagnant. She wanted to tell Selene that everything was alright and there was no need for her to worry about anything, but when she parted her lips, her words changed into something completely different.
"Something is headed over here," Inez stated while eyeing the darkness outside the lodge. She was trying her best to diffuse the strange feelings that had coiled around her heart, but she couldn't. The feeling continued to tighten, like a snake tightening its grip on her heart. It was suffocating, strange, and a hell of a lot nerve-wracking.
"What do you mean by something is headed over here?"
