Killian broke the awkward silence, causing Noah to glare at him. He saw the lips of the man move as he cursed him silently before he, too, took his leave and walked out of the office, closing the door behind him with a bang. Once he was gone, the sly smirk on Killian's lips slid down. His expression turned solemn. "It seems like the elders are going out of their way to hide the truth. Aren't they?"
Seth sighed heavily. "Which only proves my point. They will not let this matter slide. It will be hard for them to overlook your actions. You are very lucky that both Elder Norman and Jones made a mistake. Without them backing you up indirectly, the elders would have had a field day."
"But at the end of the day, they did make a mistake. Elder Norman can put forth his case, but with the only lead dead, the chances of him winning are not really high."
