Inez could see it. The confusion dawning on Dominic's face as soon as he saw Tracy. He looked at her before turning to look around. Of course, he couldn't see her. This was something she was sure of, but the second, the man's gaze paused in the direction where she was hiding, and Inez couldn't help but feel a chill climb up her spine, and she huddled even closer to Tracy, making sure not to crunch any dried leaves under her feet.
"You—who are you?" Dominic asked. His blue eyes darted left and right before settling back on Tracy. He seemed oh so confused; Inez would have laughed at his expression if not for the situation they were tangled in at the moment.
"Me? I should be asking this question of you," snapped Tracy. With a quirk of one brow, she huffed, "Chasing after me like you want to do something unspeakable at the dead of the night. Do you even know how scared I was?"
