Mia simply smiled at the warm words of Aunt Sheila. She looked around the living room and when she didn't see her father, she turned to look at Taryn and asked, "Have you seen my dad?"
Taryn looked at her mother, who was cooking beef rolls and only when she was certain that her mother was too busy to bother with her turned to look at Mia and said, "He is in his room. He was trying to avoid my mom earlier and locked himself in the room without coming out once."
Mia sighed, a soft laugh escaping her lips when she thought of her father going to such lengths to avoid Aunt Sheila. While Aunt Sheila was indeed quite persuasive; she had never crossed her limits, it made her wonder if her father was avoiding her because he was worried about letting her mother down.
