After the adrenaline of their last fight had faded, a new silence fell between Thomas and Samira. The vehicle was scratched everywhere on the outside, a testament to their recent battle but was still functions normally..The two of them, had to continue their journey thinking that at any point they could encounter the unknown and it's dangers their gazes constantly sweeping the horizon for any new threats. The green line from the System still appeared on the vehicle's windshield, but as a faint, leading them deeper into the unknown that lurks everywhere in the ruins of the city.

Thomas wanted to open his profile for the first time in a while after three back-to-back fights within hours, which had left him no time to rest or even check for any changes in his profile. Now that he had a little time to breathe, he thought this was the perfect opportunity to review it and figure out how to improve his attributes. He looked at Samira and said,

"It is better to add the points you gained to your attributes; we may not get another chance to do so later. saying anything in return, she nodded and started looking at her profile. Also, in order to share the information with Samira, he displayed his profile on the car windshield. Although it had cracks on the outside, there was nothing visible from the inside, and it was as follows:

Setting

Thomas was truly amazed at how quickly his profile had expanded within the past 24 hours, growing from just a few lines to such detailed information. "How long has it been since I woke up in that empty, dark room, I wonder?" He was almost certain it had not been more than 24 hours, but he had no way to confirm it. Not knowing the time didn't bother him that much though as long as he was able to complete his missions on time.

As for Samira's profile it was not as much packed with details as Thomas's. After glancing at her own profile for a few seconds, she kept staring at Thomas's profile, wondering, long has he has been here in this world to acquire so many skills and attributes? I thought he said it had only been a day or something like that. Although there isn't much to base any assumptions on, I still don't know if I can give my full trust anyone in this situation.

As they approached, the ground began to tremble. A low, guttural roar echoed through the silent streets. It was neither the shriek of a Haigan nor the electronic wail of the swarm. Instead, it was a sound of immense physical power—stone and metal grinding against each other. Samira's data analysis skills immediately kicked into overdrive. A new message from the System appeared in front of them on the windshield of the vehicle.

{Warning: High-level enemy detected. It's a defensive construct.}

They immediately stopped the car and took cover behind the first object they saw—a massive fallen shuttle—while peering out at the creature. It was a colossal, monstrous beast, easily four times the size of the Korgian they had defeated. Its body was a chaotic fusion of what appeared to be concrete and rebar, with an enormous head made of what looked like the shattered remains of a bridge's superstructure. Its eyes glowed with a dull, menacing red light, and a constant sound of grinding metal emanated from its mouth. It was a walking embodiment of the city's destruction, a Golem born from the ruins. The System's information flashed above its head.

"It's slow, but it's like a tank how on earth anyone can face this and survey?," Thomas said, his mind already working on a plan. "We can't fight it head-on. My hits won't even scratch it."

"It's a defensive construct," Samira said, her mind working furiously. "That's not a monster. It's a machine. It's been programmed to guard this area." She was trying to find a weakness, a chink in its armor, a flaw in its code, but the Golem was too simple, too logical. Its code was a solid, unyielding wall of commands: "Protect. Attack. Destroy."

The Golem lumbered forward, its massive feet shaking the ground with every step. It was heading straight for the collapsed highway that would lead them to the city gate. They had to get past it. Samira had an idea. It was a long shot, but they had to try.

"Thomas, remember that power line I repaired at the gate?" she asked, her voice urgent. "I'm detecting similar energy signatures in this area. If this is a defensive construct, it must be powered by something nearby."

Thomas looked around, his new Qadab Control skill helping him stay calm and focused. He saw what Samira was talking about—a massive, humming substation, its wires torn and its control panels shattered.

"We have to divert its power," Samira said. "It's a huge risk. If we fail, it will turn its full force on us."

Thomas nodded, a grim smile on his face. "Let's show them what we're capable of," he said. "You fix the power grid. I'll get its attention."

Samira activated her Trans Shield and created a wide, flexible wall of light. Thomas, meanwhile, moved with a newfound speed and agility, using his Martial Arts skill to race around the Golem. He threw a rock at its head, and the massive construct turned slowly, its red eyes locking onto him. With a roar of fury, it began to lumber toward him, its massive body a battering ram of stone and steel. Samira's shield would buy her precious seconds, but it wouldn't last against a direct hit from the Golem. It was all or nothing
