"The voldemort plan?"
Moody shook his head, indicating he hadn't heard of it, but he instinctively felt he was about to uncover the true reason for so many years of turmoil in the magic world.
"This story begins in 1945."
"In 1945, Dumbledore and Grindelwald had an unprecedented duel due to a lovers' quarrel. As the loser, Grindelwald imprisoned himself in Nurmengard as agreed, and Dumbledore smoothly took over the forces of the Saints."
"At this time, the Saints were suppressed by the Ministry of Magic of various countries and went underground. Professor Dumbledore could not openly use this power. After that, the magic world ushered in a brief period of peace, but for Professor Dumbledore, who wanted to control the entire magic world, this was not a good thing; he just lacked an opportunity to realize his ambition."
"This opportunity appeared in the 1950s. During a trip to Africa, Dumbledore, by chance, discovered a flower called Sun Ladder in the West African Dibaya tribe, which contained powerful magic."
"After bringing it back and researching it for several years, Professor Dumbledore used the Sun Ladder flower to invent a new Potion called 'G'. Those who drank the Potion could gain unparalleled power, but the price was that their bodies would change in unpredictable ways. And the 'voldemort plan' gradually took shape at this moment."
"At this point, Professor Dumbledore had the idea of establishing a new organization to control the Dark Arts side of the magic world, and he, as the greatest White Wizard, as the one who opposed this organization, would also gain unparalleled influence, ultimately controlling both light and dark to achieve his ambition of controlling the magic world."
"And this organization was the Death Eaters. The person Dumbledore chose to be the first leader of this organization was an exceptionally brilliant student during his teaching period—Tom Riddle."
"When designing and luring Tom Riddle to interview for the Defense Against the Dark Arts Class Professor position, Professor Dumbledore must have promised something to entice Tom Riddle to drink the 'G' Potion."
"Tom Riddle gained incredibly powerful strength after drinking the Potion, but he was disfigured due to the side effects of the Potion. It was at this moment that Tom Riddle disappeared, and Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters were born, plunging the magic world into the Wizarding War."
"And Dumbledore took the opportunity to establish the Order of the Phoenix, ostensibly as an organization to oppose the Death Eaters, but unknowingly, he controlled everything in the magic world."
"Just as everything was going according to Dumbledore's plan, Lord Voldemort quietly began to break free from his control. Professor Dumbledore would never show mercy to a disobedient pawn, so he designed Lord Voldemort's death through Lily's 'love' magic for Harry."
At this point, Tom suddenly paused, pulled out a bottle of water from his bag, and took a big gulp. After all, making up stories on the spot was exhausting.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald listened dumbfounded from the side. If they weren't the parties involved, hearing Tom's detailed story, they would have almost believed it. It was a waste of this kid's talent not to write History of Magic.
Just as Dumbledore couldn't help but prepare to rush out and have a good argument with Tom, he found himself frozen. Grindelwald next to him winked mischievously, clearly indicating that the silent, wandless magic sneak attack just now was his doing.
"Albus, don't be a spoilsport. It's been a long time since I've heard such a wonderful story. I'm really looking forward to what happens next."
Grindelwald whispered softly in Dumbledore's ear.
Meanwhile, Moody was already dizzy from listening, and without time to think, he instinctively pressed on, "So, what then? And what does this have to do with you being Lord Voldemort?"
"Don't rush, Mr. Moody, let me explain slowly."
Tom took a breath and continued.
"Seeing his painstakingly built Death Eaters about to fall apart, Professor Dumbledore was clearly unwilling, so the 'voldemort plan' entered its second phase."
"Professor Dumbledore used Tom Riddle's remaining limbs and soul to artificially create a new Tom Riddle, which is me."
"On the day I received my Hogwarts acceptance letter, after Professor Dumbledore confirmed that everything was normal with me, he administered a new Potion called 'T', derived from the Sun Ladder flower. My current strength comes from Professor Dumbledore's newly developed 'T' Potion."
"And the moment I took the Potion, just like the previous one, Tom Riddle died, and the second-generation Lord Voldemort was born."
"This is the so-called 'voldemort plan'."
"This past year, Professor Dumbledore used me to reassemble the Death Eater ranks, and now Professor feels the time is ripe, gradually moving from behind the scenes to the forefront."
Saying that, Tom handed a copy of The Daily Prophet to Moody and thoughtfully pointed to Rita's report on it.
"Look, although Rita Skeeter's report isn't entirely accurate, it's getting close to the truth. And now, the reconstruction of Knockturn Alley is Dumbledore's first step in moving from behind the scenes to the front, leading the Death Eaters as their true master."
After hearing Tom's words, Moody was completely bewildered.
After reading Rita's report under Lumos, Moody tightly clutched the newspaper in his hand. Although he wanted to believe Dumbledore, Tom's story was so detailed that it couldn't have been made up in such a short time, causing the scales of his trust to unconsciously tip towards doubt.
"Tom, there's one thing I want to correct. The so-called 'voldemort plan' wasn't formed after Albus obtained the Sun Ladder flower. Rather, its embryonic form was already discussed between him and me before 1945."
Good heavens, what a talent, and he's adding to it. So what is Grindelwald trying to do?
Tom glanced at Grindelwald, and from his gaze towards Moody and Dumbledore, Tom instantly understood: this old guy was still jealous that Dumbledore brought Moody today instead of him.
The already muddled Moody was now even more disoriented by Grindelwald's additional blow.
Just then, Tom suddenly felt a wave of heat. He turned his head and saw Fiendfyre had already ignited. The next second, Tom would be facing a path cleared by fire.
"Holy cow, Dumbledore is truly enraged."
Tom, scared, quickly threw Regulus's corpse, which he had painstakingly dug out of the Inferi, into his storage space. If it got caught in the crossfire and was destroyed, he would suffer a huge loss.
And at this moment, Dumbledore's voice, full of anger, also rang out.
"Tom Riddle, do you want to meet the same end as the first-generation Lord Voldemort in your story?!"
Well, Dumbledore had finally gone mad.
