Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 First Lesson

20 minutes later, Tom regained consciousness and his body jumped up from the bed again.

He rubbed his swollen brows and sighed in his heart: "As expected of Tom without a nose, although his soul is split too many times and his brain is disabled, his strength is really strong. Under the condition of full strength, I can only barely hold on for 20 minutes under his hands."

'Luckily I entered with the ideology, otherwise I would have been done for. But if I had entered with the ideology, I wouldn't have been able to use the Soul Forge to get Voldemort experience packs, so it's a pity that I couldn't get rid of the bug.'

After quietly adding daily solo Voldemort battles to his schedule, Tom finally had a peaceful time on campus. Regular classes, pleasant after-school gatherings in the library, and individual tutoring from Snape, it was a peaceful time.

Unfortunately, such good days did not last long. No one knew how Dumbledore operated. Tom, who originally thought he was joking, actually learned from Professor McGonagall that he would assist in teaching the Defense Against the Dark Arts class for lower grades.

"Mr. Riddle, I don't know what Albus thinks, but this matter has been settled. And he has already informed us. If there is a conflict in the courses, you can come to the office to consult with our professor privately at any time about the courses you have missed."

Ignoring Professor McGonagall's complicated expression, Tom thanked her and rushed to Quirrell's office to meet him.

"R...Riddle, D...Dumbledore told me to trust you. You can teach him by yourself. I...I won't interfere."

After seeing Tom, Quirrell maintained his character and stammered this sentence to him, then let him leave.

For Quirrell, the Dark Lord attached to him was in a bad state and had not yet awakened. He also had no idea about the task he had been assigned, which was already overwhelming. God knows when Quirrell heard the news of the impeachment by the four college students, he felt that he was completely finished.

Unexpectedly, there was a sudden turn of events. Not only did he keep his teaching position, but he also got someone to accept the annoying teaching job. Since there was such a good thing falling from the sky, Qi Luo couldn't wait to finalize the matter. As for who accepted the job, he didn't care.

With full authorization from Quirrell, Tom can now let go and prepare the courses according to his own ideas. It's time to give the little wizards a shock.

Defense Against the Dark Arts class was taught on Tuesday morning.

"Draco, you've been talking for so long, why hasn't Quirrell left yet? Are the things you do reliable?"

Zabini quietly questioned Draco before class started.

The young master got furious all of a sudden: "Of course it's reliable. I heard from my father that Dumbledore has started to take action in the past few days. Maybe Quirrell will be kicked out in this class today."

While everyone was talking, Theodore Nott, who was lazily lying on his desk, noticed something was wrong: "Has anyone seen Tom? Isn't he usually the first one to arrive in the classroom?"

Facing Nott's question, everyone looked at each other and shook their heads. Pansy couldn't help but ask Cassandra: "You have a good relationship with Tom, do you know where he went?"

"I don't know. Tom must have been delayed by something. Don't worry, he will definitely arrive before class."

Cassandra's mouth seemed to be enlightened, and as soon as she finished speaking, Tom walked into the classroom.

"Tom, this way, there's a seat for you."

In response to Draco's enthusiastic greeting, Tom smiled at him, but walked straight to the podium without stopping.

Under the astonished gaze of the Slytherin and Ravenclaw students, Tom stood at the podium and began his first class.

"Thanks to Headmaster Dumbledore's kindness, I will be the teacher of your Defense Against the Dark Arts class this year."

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a commotion in the audience.

"Quiet!" Tom continued, satisfied with the reactions of the audience. "Unlike Professor Quirrell, my class doesn't smell of garlic, and there's no stuttering and reading from a textbook. I will teach you how to deal with danger and resist the dark arts. Today's class is a practical class. Put away your textbooks and follow me."

After saying that, he walked away first. The students looked at each other, quickly packed up their books and followed him.

When Tom led everyone to the open space by the lake and stopped, Draco asked first: "Tom, what are you going to teach today?"

Tom was very satisfied with Draco's performance, but he pretended to be serious and replied, "During class, please use my professional title, Professor Riddle."

Those Slytherins who were familiar with Tom couldn't help laughing when they saw him, and the atmosphere began to become relaxed.

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Tom began to get to the point: "Who can tell me what is the most important thing for you at the moment when facing dark wizards and dangerous animals?"

Hermione, the top student, was the first to raise her hand, and Tom called her name out of courtesy.

"Miss Granger, please answer."

"Knowledge, spells, magic, and skills."

"Very good, one point for Ravenclaw. But I would say that these are not the most important, because the knowledge, spells, magic, and skills you have now cannot help you deal with danger."

"Professor Del, what do you think is the most important thing?" Draco, the supporting actor, took over the conversation at the right time.

"Hide and escape." Tom said word by word.

"Escape? And run away?"

"Yes, dodge and run away. If it was Dumbledore, Grindelwald or Voldemort, of course you wouldn't have to do that, you could just stand there and fight. But you, when you meet them, your first thought is to run. If you can't run, then hide, that's the only way to have a chance to survive."

Faced with Tom's eloquent talk, everyone present remained silent.

Seeing that everyone didn't believe it, Tom didn't get angry. After all, no matter how much he said, it would not be as unforgettable as letting them experience it in person.

"So, the theme of today's class is dodging and escaping. Get ready. I'll start when I count down to three."

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"

"Everyone is petrified!"

"There are so many obstacles!"

"Hanging bell!"

"Thunder explosion!"

"Ice freeze!"

The moment the countdown ended, Tom mercilessly threw a large number of spells at the little wizard in front of him.

Idiots like Goyle and Crabbe were hit before they had time to react. Fortunately, the class today was attended by Slytherin and Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

The smart guys had already scattered when Tom was counting down, but unfortunately they were facing a ruthless man who could challenge Voldemort alone. With their terrible positioning, not to mention Tom, even the dogs would shake their heads when they saw it.

Tom raised his wand and called out their names one by one. Those like Hermione and Draco who tried to fight back were easily dealt with by a Disarming Spell and a Petrifying Spell.

Soon, there was no little wizard left who could move.

"All curses come to an end!"

Golden spots of light fell on everyone as Tom waved his wand.

"Healed like new!"

Under the effect of Tom's healing spell, a group of little wizards were resurrected on the spot.

Tom looked at the little wizards who had recovered and couldn't help but utter those wise words:

"You guys are truly the worst class I've ever taught!"

"Well, go on!"
