The room was dark.Silent.Only the faint hum of the night outside pressed against the thin walls.
Asahi sat there, his breath heavy. The shadows clung to him.
MA's voice echoed. Cold. Arrogant."It's a 50/50 chance. We find FA. Reset the time. And kill UA together. That's the plan."
Asahi's fists clenched tight. His jaw locked."And what if we fail?" His words dropped like lead.
MA thundered inside him—unyielding."Failure is not an option. GOT IT?!"
The air warped around Asahi. His eyes sharpened—burning like fire in the gloom.
But still… the room was heavy.A gloom that even fire couldn't pierce.
Asahi muttered."Can't we directly go to the hole?"
MA's reply was flat."Difficult."
"Mmm." Asahi smirked, unfazed."We can try."
MA laughed, arrogant."Of course."
But then—he paused."Wait… I'm feeling something."
Asahi frowned."What?"
MA's voice turned uneasy. Confused."I don't know… very weird. Never felt this before…"
Asahi stayed silent. Tried to focus."Do you feel it?" MA asked, uncertain.
Asahi's eyes widened.*"WHAT?! No…"
MA barked an order."Sit on the chair, Asahi."
"Huh?"
"Come on."
Asahi dragged the wooden chair from his Japanese study table. Sat down. The room creaked. His hand reached for the lamp—clicked it on.The dim yellow light spread, chasing shadows across the wooden surface.
"Ahh… okay. Now what?" Asahi leaned back, arrogant.
"Look." MA's tone was sharp."Look at the table."
Asahi squinted."W…what?"
His eyes focused. The surface. The scratches.Something was carved there.
"Something's written…"
"Read it."
Asahi leaned closer. But the words blurred."I don't… understand it."
"Idiot. Use your left eye."
Asahi sucked in a breath.Closed his right. Focused with the black-red left.
The carving revealed itself.Faint. Hidden."Believe me at the right time."
Asahi whispered."What the hell's that supposed to mean…?"
MA went silent. Then spoke, cold."Interesting."
"You know?" Asahi's eyes narrowed.
"I don't understand a fuck." MA spat back.
Asahi snapped.*"Then why the hell are you even speaking?!"
"You shut up!" MA roared.*"I felt it. It was calling me. That line… 'Believe me at the right time.' Believe whooo?!"
Asahi exhaled. A bitter smile."I guess that's what we have to find."
His voice lowered. Serious."How did you sense it?"
"I don't know," MA admitted. His tone was almost unsettled."It was… different. That writing. Only your left eye could see it. It was written for you, Asahi. You have to find the one you're meant to believe."
Asahi clenched his fists."I believe in myself. That's enough."
MA laughed, cold.*"Good. But in this cursed world we live in… we can't even believe us."
"I will!" Asahi growled.
MA's voice steadied.*"We have to tell FA. He might know who it is."
"Yeah… maybe." Asahi's reply carried no conviction.
MA's inner thought lingered:(That reply wasn't confident… he's already doubting.)
Asahi's inner thought burned back:(I have to find that bastard FA. He's trying to do something… himself.)
The lamp flickered once. The words on the table glowed faintly."Believe me at the right time."
And the night pressed heavier.
