At this point, Verena had no choice but to admit it, she was basically a playgirl now.
Not by intention, but by sheer statistical probability. The amount of cliché, absurdly-timed, anime-grade situations she kept falling into was starting to feel like karmic punishment.
Once they were inside the room, they were soaked, freezing, and looking like they'd just swum through a storm.
The rain outside hadn't let up, hammering against the windows. Their uniforms clung to them, damp and chilly.
"Nice my ass! Why did it suddenly rain?!" Sera snapped, shivering as she kicked off her boots like they'd betrayed her.
"I wonder too..." Verena muttered, genuinely bewildered.
"AND DON'T LOOK AT ME!"
Verena flinched, eyes snapping wide as the shout struck her like a slap to the eardrums.
"I-I won't, I swear..."
"Just because I'm warming up to you doesn't mean you get to perv around!"
