Arc 4: What families entail
Running forward, holding the Spirit Sense in his body, and charging through the dense snowy mountain was Gray Kyojin. Passing through the thick spirit mana, discerning past and away from anything and everything that was useless in an attempt to ease the pain. Jumping into the air to snag his Cloak onto a tree branch, grabbing hold of the stretched half to swing forward. Holding in his bubbling panic to throw the other half of the Cloak near another higher tough branch. Holding tight and flinging against the freezing air with fear all over his face.
Gray: "OOOOHOOOOHOOOOHH!"
He cheered as he swung like a jungle man, flipping into the air to crash against a volley of thick branches. Falling further down before slamming his stomach against a far larger branch. Peering down to the snow and sunny sky while thinking of his friends. His growth to this point.
Gray: "I hope they're safe. The last message said they were meeting with Moro and the Spartans, scary ass pirates and an oddly obvious reference to Athens. I wonder if that means the leader is from Earth, that name was used somehow, or somebody from a while back named it. Either way, an Earth sign is an Earth sign."
As he stood the Spirit Sense washed out of him, leaving him laying against the tree in a surge of disorienting pain and sickness. Trying not to throw up while also not falling off the branch. Wobbling before falling backward right off the tree, squealing while desperately trying to throw the Cloak out. Unable to get a grasp, unable to stop his quickening dissent, and headed toward the block of ice below him. Throwing his arms out over and over, again and again, flipping and flailing and screaming. Coming to a halt just as he reached the floor, opening his covered eyes to see the snow right beneath his face. Looking up to see the Cloak expanded and shot out like a web behind him, grappling onto a handful of branches and the Cloak itself. Causing the weak bindings to snap, falling against the cold floor while the cloak was nothing more than a torn hood.
Gray: "Well that's not good."
As he went to flow more mana out his head surged with pain, feeling a large wave of Spirit mana heading right toward him.
Gray: "Cool I felt it! OH NO I FELT SOMETHING!"
A large white feathered Bird, with a long stretching beak open wide for Gray. It slammed into his gut before he could leap, through him through the trees as at rapid pace. Its small black eyes focused on breaking him. He began to flow a bit of mana, trying to regulate it as best he could while slamming a punch into the birds head. However, only injured and angered, it bit harder into his sides. The many dense branches beginning to pile on the agony. So, over charging his fist with mana, he slammed it against the birds head to throw him onto the ground. Rolling through the heavy freezing air, the snow getting harder and harder, falling faster and faster. But he ran, running for something. From fear, from panic, but that screeching bird came rampaging forth.
Gray: "I hate birds!"
It was a Mid-tier Beast, a Glacier Flyer. Long and lanky, quick, and a monster that moved in packs. Calling forth its fellow Flyers through the trees to swarm the boy. So, taking out his blade, he leapt to the side at the last second to dodge the beast. Preparing for another coming toward him, charging his blade with mana before plunging it into the bird's eye. It still flew, biting into his sides and flying straight up. Bursting further up the mountain, the Spirit air and freezing winds continue to build. Filled with even more panic, he stabbed into the bird over and over to free himself. Falling, yelling, and flipping through the air while more birds flew around him. Throwing out the cloak onto one of their Icey feet, being pulled through the air at an intense pace to be slammed into a large tree.
Gray: "EEEK!"
He let go, barely missing the tree before getting his foot grabbed again. His head slammed through branches while his heart sank to what felt like a coming demise. But he had to act; he tossed the cloak toward the beast's neck before yanking downward, throwing off the monster's grasp and sending it face first toward the ground. Then he threw the Cloak toward a Flyers beak, grabbing it before it grabbed into him. Swinging with it while charging his arm with mana, throwing the Spirit Beast into the iron hard tree to knock the wind out of it. Causing the monster to fall toward the ground, further angering the monsters. Causing three flying forward to charge ice within their large becks, pulling in the snow to pile and pack it onto spirit mana. What came next were powerful beams of ice, crashing through the air and breaking through trees to skewer Gray. But, still swinging from the foot of the monster, he fell toward the trees. Trying his best to grab into a tree with the Cloak to swing across the snow, rolling and smashing against it before jumping into a sprint. Running deeper and deeper into the mountain, rising higher, layering a bit of mana around him to heat himself up. Fixing the cloak, pushing past the pain, trying to hide away from the screeching birds; his mind was left to pure survival, acting on impulse, focus to fight and live overtaking him.
Gray: "RYO! I KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING! YOU COULD HELP ME NOW!"
His screams and powerful mana attracted a Panther like creature atop a thick branch. Dampening its presence, holding its breath, focused on the fleeing fearful boy. Licking its dark white further lips with its snake-like blue tongue.
Gray {If I was better I could astral project him, call out for help, stop running further into the forest like an idiot! But here I am! Running for my life again and again! It's not funny Ryo!}
The overseeing monster leapt from the trees, silently plummeting through the sky to land against Grays back. Almost instantly sinking it's sharp icy teeth into his neck before it's own neck was filled with steel. Gray's blade piercing it, standing and pushing the monster off of him while pulling it out.
Gray: "BACK AWAY!"
A Mid-Tier Spirit Beast, A Lurking White Lion. Not extremely powerful, but intelligent hunters. Not intelligent enough to think through panic, while Gray's blade swarmed with bright mana. Crashing across the beast's chest to tear it open and throw it far into the snow. Holding his slightly cracked blade, his aching body, and let out a loud sigh of relief.
Gray: "Helllooo, Ryo Ryo Ryo! Dammit screaming and luring monsters to my position isn't gonna work. Ugh."
He had about seven percent of his mana remaining, his body was strained and his arms were almost numb, the freezing winds were only growing, but he still looked back. Toward the rising mountain beginning to pierce the clouds. Shivering and shivering. Surging with fear when a large amount of Spirit Mana suddenly resonated within his head. Leaving his eyes flashing white, his mind enters a different space entirely. White and blue, like a rushing storm of mana around him. A criss crossed Ryo ahead of him.
Ryo: "I'll be waiting for you atop the mountain."
Gray: "What!? And how are you doing this!?"
Ryo: "You just happen to have a large connection, but this was supposed to be simple clairvoyance. Now I'll see yah."
Gray quickly flashed back to reality, holding his aching head whilst the cold snow on his back raised him. Standing begrudgingly to push on for his friends, spending the rest of his way slowly marching up the mountain. Staying hidden while conserving mana to heat himself. Moving at that same time was the group within Athens, through the mining tunnels to an opening at the end of the carved cavern. Marching toward it was Edward, Rosemary, Soku, and Julius. Along with Leo, Peter, a large group of Red Arrows, Ceasar, and the Spartans all packed together. Crampt, trying not to argue, and cold within the cave. The salty air of Solon Bay ahead of them being the only hope through the building panic, the entrance to the Gravestone Pirates ships.
Rosemary: "Are you ready?"
Edward nodded, having stayed silent since his first run in with Moro a few days ago. Lost to the building, ravaging, violent anger. The Warriors Spirit caused him to grip his armored fists even tighter so as to not fall into panic or despair. The memories of his murdered homeland, a fire breaking away at him. Unable to use it as fuel, only able to decay. Rosemary was hesitant but kept a confident face, looking toward a worried Soku and an even more worried Peter.
Rosemary: "What about you two? Are you sure you wouldn't want to wait?"
Soku: "No way! I've been training, and this is important. I'm ready, and if I'm not I have to be."
Rosemary: "Well that's a good mindset, but don't get yourself into trouble. And if things turn bad I want you to run."
Soku: "Like I said no way!"
In a bit of annoyance Soku stepped forward to Leo and the cheering Red Arrows, leaving Rosemary to sulk with a shivering Peter. Unable to close the gap between herself and Soku, no, her sister. Ophelia's loss, along with all of the others, digging a chasm that Soku would have to cross herself. But that wouldn't keep Rosemary from gnawing at herself over the inability to act.
Peter: "I think she sees that you just wanna help, but I don't think she likes thinking she's weak. Like she hates it."
Rosemary: "But if she thinks trying to help her is a weakness then I can't help."
They continued on, stopping at the opening to the cavern. With only Leo and the Red Arrows stepping toward the single large ship ahead of them. Docked along the bay, pirates all around. Moro nowhere insight, instead standing Ju'stone and the Seal Demi-human. Eating over the fire.
Ju'stone: "Finally. We've all been waiting."
Leo: "Sorry sorry, but we're here now. So where's Moro? Where's his Battle Plan?"
Feeling the constant tension in the air when it came to the pirates, Edward and Julius stepped past the Red Arrows to the beaches. Behind Leo and his own guards, looking back to find Rosemary and Soku still standing in the exit.
Soku: "I'm goin."
Rosemary: "Just wait like he said please."
Soku: "But they went!"
Rosemary: "Well they're both stronger than us so I don't think we can do much. But I'm stronger than you."
Soku: "You wanna fight me!?"
Rosemary: "No! I just won't let you get yourself killed!"
The heavy rain begins to fall outside along the beach. The loud booms of thunder echo throughout the land. The waves crash against the shore, with the big ship moving back and forth in the tide. The side of the ship faced them, pirates all alongside the deck and hull.
Ju'stone: "MORO!"
Ju'stone roared for his captain, annoyingly stepping up with the Seal Demi-human to retrieve him. Looking back at Leo waving with a smirk, stomping the floor. In an instant all of their hearts sank, a moment later a massive roar of chaos raining out. All of the thirty cannons fired, tearing through pirates, Red Arrows, smashing against the cave in an attempt to block them off, all to rampage against the Red Arrows and Spartans. The crashing lightning from the sky rained out, before Leo's own crashing Lighting followed. Grabbing hold of as many cannon balls as possible, connecting them with a web of energy, before hurling it back toward the ship to burst its deck.
Rosemary: "GET BACK!"
Before Soku could do anything Rosemary threw her far into the cavern, moving with Peter and the other Red Arrows to charge and scream to battle. The cave shook and shook, beginning to crumble under the weight of the barrage of cannon fire.
Soku: "NO NO NO!"
Edward instantly went into a raging berserker like state, almost happy he finally got to fight them. Breaking against their tough Demi-human bodies with his dense, heavy, massive sword. Blunt but still powerful, his building strength continuing to smash them to bits. Julius leapt around slicing through their necks, wrists, and heels. Dodging any arrows, rocks, or cannons that came his way with slithering efficiency. Rosemary used the third stage to push them back, slamming her fists against their chests over and over. Flipping to kick them against the held, rolling to leap into more battle. All while Soku charged with wind to keep up, falling into despair as the front of the cave collapsed in front of her. Throwing her backward and leaving her unable to fight, while Peter found himself unable to run away. Frozen and collapsed to the ground in fear.
Edward: "DIE DAMMIT DIE! ALL OF YOU HAVE TO DIE! DIE DIE DIE! I'LL KILL YOU I'LL BREAK YOU I'LL TURN YOU INTO NOTHING! I'LL MAKE YOU FEEL THE PAIN YOU CAUSED SO MANY, THE PAIN YOU CAUSED ME AND MY FAMILY!"
He would leap through the air, under the loud rain and thunder, spinning and slamming his blade against the collar of a large squid Demi-human. Jumping off of his chest to crush a smaller Salmon Demi-human, sprinting even further to continue crushing them. Leaving Rosemary to protect Peter and look on at the bloody battle. A state of being she had been in for longer than one of peace. Jumping down to throw things into more hell was the Seal Demi-human, smiling while taking food from the fire. Human limbs burnt to a crisp, eating them in one bite in front of Edwards horrified face. Sweating, crushing, exploding rage all within his eyes. Grabbing his hilt so hard it almost broke, charging through the Pirates to make his way toward her. Rosemary looked on, leaving Peter to help Edward with flicks in the Fourth Stage. Sending Pirates screaming into the air as they went flying.
Bella: "NAMES BELLA!? WHAT'S YOURS YAH MONSTER!?"
Edward didn't respond, clashing his blade against her thick forearm. Thrown back into more pirates, all slain by Julius in a dance of power. Leaving the two warriors to look at Bella, conviction and survival over taking them. Bella immediately darted forward, crashing her hefty fist against Edwards dense blade with a smile. Julius on the other hand slipped and twisted around her body, leaving her legs and joints covered in light slashes. His mana lining the blade was hardly able to pierce her thick seal-skin. Over and over she crashed her fists against his sword to fling him back, spinning to kick Julius blade away and set up for a punch. However Julius would instantly flip and spin out of the way, running up her arm and leaping past her while dragging his sword across her. Leaving a bloody gash all the way up her body, over her left eye. Crying with the rain from pain.
Bella: "DAMMIT ALL! THE FUCK YOU DO THAT FOR!?"
While she cried out in pain Edward left forward, trusting his blade into her neck with quick precision. Surprising her, knocking the wind out of her, and left her choking violently. Pulling that blade back as he stepped up her body, roaring before bringing it down onto her head. Slamming her to the ground to smash her repeatedly.
Ju'stone: "GET OFF HER!"
His mighty fist crashed against his back, causing him to scream out in pain while he blasted across the sand and into the hull of the ship. About to bite toward Julius before he was met with an even mightier strike, a duel kick to the back of the head from a Fourth stage Rosemary. Entering the third stage while rolling and landing beside Julius across the sand. But before their fight could continue a torrent of lightning washed past them, throwing Ju'stone away while electrocuting the pirates. Forcing Julius and Rosemary to back away from where Edward was launched to, into the coming despair. The rain coddling her fear.
Rosemary: "...No."
While there were a handful of pirates ahead, mixed with Red Arrows, over the screams and death of war, a set of dense iron wagons passed forward. The Warriors scream and swing their weapons down to slaughter the Red Arrows keeping guard of the coast.
Julius: "Leo! Athens is here!"
Leo: "I SEE THAT!"
Leo slammed powerful strikes of lightning forward to knock back groups of pirates, snapping his fingers to summon his spear over and over to throw it over and over. Carving, cleaving, and erupting through the bodies of the Demi-humans. Peter ran toward the sandy hills to freedom. And Soku tries her hardest to blast the rubble away but with no luck. Tears started falling from her face while she blasted Mark's enhanced wind forward. Only causing more of the cave to collapse and push her back, staging collapsed to the ground. Sinking into herself with one moto repeating over and over. That she was "Utterly useless".
Soku: "Dammit Rosemary why didn't you let me fight!?"
Panting, struggling to breath, the sounds and screams of battle pounding against her skull. Opehlia's horrific screams, the heat of Arthur's fire, the coldness of the castle pulling her in. Letting the left behind Red Arrows to run as she shook. Trying her best not to cry.
Rosemary: "Keep pushing them back! We'll take on Athens!"
Before Julius could answer his hand was taken by the gold lit warrior, off into hell. Rosemary's fists flying, her legs sprinting, while Julius blade flung with blood gushing behind it. Spinning, keeping his momentum, attempting to feel the world as he moved his rapier. Using his monocle to continuously feel the future, the build up of current intentions and what was most likely to happen, to dodge dodge dodge. Using his own skill, precision, speed, and intense will to keep up. Slithering between blades, cannons, arrows, hammers, and fists like it was second nature. Slaughtering anybody around him, never getting hit, but slowly losing stamina.
Leo: "ALL OF YOU DAMN PIRATES CHOSE THE WRONG FATE!"
As the Pirates began to overwhelm the Red Arrows, their Demi-human might surpass the human warriors quite quickly. However, without any of his teammates around, Leo could unleash his might. Becoming a beacon of lighting that spread through their bodies, even the sand to take them. Frying their skin, passing through their dense hides, bones, and muscles, he left them collapsing to the ground dead or wishing they were. Twitching, burnt, their nerves fried, and their very souls aching with pain. Rosemary struggles to keep her composure, the panic building upon her while the weight of battle builds along with it. Making it toward the dense leather Warriors to help the Red Arrows push them back.
On the other hand, Edward, overcome with even more rage, turned the bottom of Moro's ship into a bloodbath. His heavy, massive sword crashing and breaking their skulls. Bashing his shoulder into them to send groups falling, kicking them into each other, sending them crashing through the blood and guts and the crumbling ship and the slowly rising fire -
Edward {SHIT!}
The sound of a cannon ball lit his ears, swinging to clash against it. His arms feeling like they were going to shatter as he was flung back, the sword slightly cracked and warped. Then, sizzling, were more cannons firing out. Harpoons thrown and shot, spiked chains wrapped and twisted, and more cannon balls to bring the beast down. His sword broke through or clashed against most of it, but the repeated erupting cannon balls continuously sent him backward, breaking the blade each time. The cracks filled with the bits of the pirates, bleeding as he bled. The constant swipes of daggers and blades, the sharp pain of the hammers, plants, bats, and morning stars smashed against his muscles and bones, the heavy fists of the Demi-humans. Getting Supercut by a hammerhead Shark Demi-human, bitten by a Flaming Paranah Demi-human, its bite spreading flaming toxins through his veins, and beaten in by the many other Demi-humans around. Stabbed, impailed, skewered, chained and beaten. Screaming past all of the pain with is unyielding, undying, primal anger.
Julius: "Ahead, the Thorn woman."
Glowing purple, blue, and white, while charging in on her flaming red Bull Horse. Piling up more power as it ran forward, breaking through the Red Arrows and her own Warriors to make it toward the shining Rosemary. Her arm, extended, began to glow with an influx of mana. Swirling to become a straight, sharp, illuminating lance.
Rosemary: "Ah whatever!"
She blasted into the forth stage, the wave of force surprising the Demi-humans before she suddenly blitzed past them. Pulling her fists across the sand to toss out a focused wave of wind point blank, smashing her fists against the beasts nose as she sent it flying backward. The force it had built up slamming against her and throwing her into a crowd of fighters, her stages off and the despair peaking. Running at an even deeper level of fear was Peter, making it through a small set of woods. Squealing to ever strike of lighting, unable to tell it it was Leo or nature. Only to slam into a large man, staring up while almost crumbling to pieces due to his shivering, and sat in awe.
"What's wrong kid, lost?"
A muscular, tall, Dark Elf. Bald, older, with claw marks on the bottom half of his face. Wearing a thick torn tan poncho, no shirt to expose the black lines tattoed across his body, and torn tan black pants. A large morning star wrapped around his body.
Peter: "Uhh, yeah."
The Dark Elf lifted him by his red cape anyway, pointing him toward the Warriors surrounding them. A man in dark plated armor. A mask vented to show faint eyes, pitch black like his chest plate, vambraces, and leg armor. All Dragon stone, atop torn brown clothes.
"Throw him away. We got bigger things, and a battle! So come on! We're not paying you to sit around and pick up kin."
The younger Warrior charged forward, activating his mana. With four clicks and a wave of power, blue seals lit up on his back, turning the influx of powerful flaming mana to turn a sky blue. Pinballing through the trees to explode through the air above the beach, drawing everyone's attention, and instantly set his eyes on the golden warrior. Not the one lit in lighting, but the one lit in roaring power; Rosemary Goldenwind was being targeted. Julius however took on the brunt of the Thorn woman's power, barley slipping past her rapid thrusts of her glowing lance for an arm. Spinning and shooting it out to clash against Julius blade, exploding and sending him bouncing across the sand. Landing on his feet to run into battle, smiling with his eyes closed like nothing had happened.
"Well aren't you relaxed."
Julius: "I have to be, I am a knight after all."
They would run toward each other, Julius striking forward as many times as she could while the woman charged up blades across her fingers. Throwing them like bullets to break against Julius precise strikes, perfectly thrown to break through them and run forward. Slashing for her to counter with another lance, rolling to let it explode and strike again. Guarded by a glowing shield, dodge for it to erupt, strike, dodge, strike, dodge. Sweating, moving, fighting. Never losing speed, never losing power, never losing his conviction. Always fighting, always ready, never being hit dead on.
Rosemary: "What's that power surrounding you?"
Fighting in a small cleared circle was Rosemary and the Dragon Stone, blue lit man, staring eye to eye before exploding forward. Rosemary entered the fourth stage, attempting to throw out a punch while them man pivoted to the side. Jumping forward to smash his shoulder into her, throwing her down to send out a flick. Hitting the mans shoulder but not stopping him, getting hit in the stomach right after. A shock wave throwing her into a pile of dead bodies.
Rosemary {That aura, it matched, no, it far outmatches mine! It's like all the wind that usually explodes out of my punches are all shooting into me!"
She punched against his Dragon stone vambrace, sending shocks through his body while he chopped against her shoulder. The wind sent right through it, forcing her down enough for him to jump off of her face. An explosion of sand raining out right after, blown away by the Golden Warrior jumping threw it. Flicking all of her fingers on all of her hands to send out less focused, but far more bombardments of pressure to force him to block. Jumping with one leg while extending the other to fly forward and kick his blocking arms. Throwing him back into the sand and the large Dark Elves chest. Caught and thrown to the floor.
"I thought you were supposed to be strong?"
"SHUT UP! I'm thinkin. This girl, don't kill her."
The Dark Elf sighed, stepping forward with a smirk. One eye blinded by a slash, using his right eye to stare through her eyes and into her soul. An influx of stone then began to consume him, flowing over his limbs like a cloak of mana before hardening. Looking like a walking canyon, tan, gray, and reddish. Laughing and laughing while clashing fists with Rosemary, the stone cracking and filling with Golden mana while his arm pushed forward, throwing her back to be hit by a quick burst barrage of punches. All like cannon balls against her, pushing past her golden armor and regular armor to pull the wind out of her lungs. Her ribs are folding, crushing, squeezing. Her heart beating faster and faster, the stages and the punishment eating away from her, and still she fought on.
Edward: "GET AWAY FROM ME!"
While his friends fought for their lives Edward was thrown against the the top of the ship. A small group of pirates surrounding him while loud stomps shook the wooden floor. Laughing, smoking, and drunk; it was the Capitan of this ship, the man Edward hated most in the world, Moro Gravestone.
Moro: "Great day for rain isn't it? But the damn water keeps putting out my smoke!"
With each step, with each word, the screams of his mother and father, the raging fire of his home, Al, Musashi, Kioshi, everything that boiled and hurt his soul unraveld even more. Causing his voice to tremble as he spoke, only causing the pirates and Moro to laugh. Looking on at Ju'stone and some other injured pirates returning, holding the broken Seal Demi-humans body. Alive but heavily hurt.
Edward: "Why…?"
Moro: "WHAT DID YAH SAY!?"
But he exploded upward, pushing off of the pirates holding down while almost snapping the chains. Throwing it all toward Moro, the years of built up hatred, what felt like a life time of work and training at him.
Edward: "WHY DID YOU DO THIS!? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!? YOU'RE ALL INSANE, NOTHING MORE THAN DAMN DIRTY PIRATES!"
Moro: "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?"
Edward: "You killed my mother, a father, you, YOU DESTROYED MY HOME AND YOU ASK ME WHO I AM!?"
He burst from the chains, taking his massive blade out and holding it forward. The pirates ready to fight, and even Ju'stone, pushed away by Moros large hand.
Moro: "Do you know how little that narrows it down kid?
The pirates move out of the way, letting Moro laugh over and over again. For Edward to finally reveal himself, and make Moro understand just who he was and why he was here.
Edward: "AM EDWARD VAN HELING! THE LAST VAN HELSING! AND I WILL TAKE YOUR HEAD!"
Moro: "OH! That's you! I haven't seen you since you were a boy, and didn't I say it wasn't personal? Oh well, you can't kill me with that sword, it's way too big for a small fry."
Edward blindly rushes towards Moro, swinging his sword with all his might. But alas, Moro catches Edward's blade, stopping him in his tracks. He then throws his fist through the air and strikes Edward down effortlessly. While he went to stand, he was kicked across the face and smashed in the chest again. His armor shattered against Moros hefty strike, but slamming hits feet into the floor and breaking the woods to hold forward, Edward slammed his blade again. Hitting Moro across the face, leaving only a bruise and a spit of blood.
Moro: "Not bad."
In a flash Moro landed a mighty uppercut, knocking the wind out of him before grabbing onto his leg. Crushing it while slamming him face first against the ground, the world shaking around him. The sounds of battle, the laugher of the drunken pirates, and the fate of it all fading away. Even his anger failed him. While Edward's body hits the ground so hard that it bounced back up, being hit again and again until he finally crashed through the dense wood. Caught by Moro to be slammed against the massive post of the ship.
Moro: "HAHAHA! DID YOU SEE HOW HE BOUNCED!?"
All the pirates continued to laugh at Edward, his body broken and useless. His mind broken and useless. But his sword was still in his hand, within a death grip.
Edward {No, please, please dammit PLEASE! Not like this! Not like this, I can't die this way. I can't fail the Helsing name…I can't let it die with me, I can't…I CAN'T!}
Moro: "LOOK AT HIM, HE'S FUCKING CRYING HAHAHAHA!"
He stood, shaking, wobbling, but he stood.
Edward: "You, you're all animals."
Moro: "We're demi-humans, what do you expect? Hah, nah I just want to win and if you guys had lost this hard when I joined you, I would have been a laughing stock. I play for the winning side. But more importantly the side with the most money. I told you that already didn't I?"
Edward struggles to stand back up, most of the bones in his body are cracked or broken, and his nose and mouth are bleeding. Unable to seep into the blind wrath of the warriors' spirit, all he can do is struggle and keep his honor. Drenched in the rain, he tries to lift Bjorn, the weight causing his muscles to rip and tear. Still, he screams, lifting Bjorn, swinging it down, and hitting Moro on the chest. Nothing, not a tear in Moro's clothes, not a single drop of blood, not even a reaction. Knocked back with a palm strike while Moro grabs Bjorn, slamming it against his knee. Injuring his knee but managing to send a massive crack through the blade. Leaving it falling in to, before shattering to pieces.
Moro: "Hitting this damn sword hurt more than that weak ass swing!"
Edward falls back to the ground, watching as Moro takes the lit cigar out of his mouth, then puts it out in his eye. Unable to move, only able to scream bloody murder. Squirming, crying, defying this fate. The horrid nature of reality. His eye boiling and melting, his skull heating, his flesh burring. Black, is what describes the sight his right eye sees. The sight of his loss and Moro's laughing face burned into it forever. Before he saw the bottom of his boot, black right after. Finally left with a sense of nothingness. The once-planned meeting, a meeting that would have ended a four-year-long war, what might have been the end to his eight year journey, has turned into a tragedy, an utter and complete loss.
