The fairy lights above us flickered like tiny stars, painting soft gold patterns across Aeri's face and the white dress that clung to her body. We were pressed together on the edge of the little round table, her legs still loosely wrapped around my waist, her back arched slightly over the tabletop. Our lips moved slow and hungry, tasting melted chocolate and each other, the cold sweetness mixing with the heat of her mouth. She had one hand buried in my hair, holding me close like she never wanted to let go.
"Ahmm… wait, Ezra," she whispered suddenly, pulling back just enough for our lips to part with a soft, wet sound.
I was breathing hard, heart hammering against my ribs. "What is it?" I asked, swallowing air, trying to calm the rush in my chest.
"N-nothing," she said, turning her face to the side, cheeks burning bright pink. "I'm just… really flustered right now."
