Chapter 15 - Nicolas Flamel

Since that dinner, Chris had been studying his magic output and made considerable progress.

Two weeks later, on another Saturday, he took his parchment thesis to Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall opened the paper: "Research on Magic Value and Feasibility Analysis Report of Magic Value Testing Instrument"

"Looks good, Mr. Feynman!" Professor McGonagall looked very serious, but in fact she didn't care, because after all, he was an eleven-year-old wizard, even if Chris was serious, with limited level, there would definitely be no particularly effective suggestions.

But Professor McGonagall quickly realized she was wrong and terribly wrong!

Professor McGonagall was deeply attracted by this new theory after only a few glances, and she carefully read the entire article.

Chris said: "Let me briefly explain!"

"I think magic value should of course be evaluated mathematically. In the past, we always said in general terms what a magician is like, such as Headmaster Dumbledore. We always respectfully call him the strongest white wizard, but how strong is he? No one knows..."

"And the magic test method I proposed can theoretically get a score, so that everyone can understand how strong Headmaster Dumbledore is!"

"So I created a unit [Magic Chr/Magic Chr], referred to as [Chr/Chr], abbreviated as C!

In order to be accepted by more people, I used the strength of the magic on Headmaster Dumbledore as the basic judgment value. I rigidly stipulated that the value of the magic possessed by Mr. Dumbledore is 10,000 Magic Chr, and I created a large magic unit [Dumbledore/Dumbledore]. referred to as [Dumb Db], the abbreviation is [D/D].

I divided Professor Dumbledore's magic into ten thousand parts, and one Dumbledore is equal to ten thousand Magic Chr. Each part is a very small measurement value. I roughly estimated that the total amount of one magic [one Chr] is approximately equivalent to all the magic on an owl."

"So, Mr. Dumbledore is equal to the combat power of ten thousand owls?" Professor McGonagall found it a bit funny when she thought of this.

"No! This is just the magic value, not the actual ability. We also need to introduce an ability index [Hermione/Hermione]. A qualified wizard should be able to exert the combat power of an owl with one magic!

"And Hermione happens to be in this period now she can exert almost 100% of a magic into a spell, so we say Hermione's combat coefficient is [1.0 Hermione], referred to as 1H, and multiply the magic value by the combat coefficient to get her combat power!"

"I don't have the ability to evaluate Mr. Dumbledore's combat coefficient, but I think Mr. Dumbledore's combat coefficient is at least [5.0 Hermione] or more! That is to say, Dumbledore is at least equivalent to the combat power of fifty thousand owls!

For wizards, the higher the combat coefficient, the more suitable they are to be a "warrior" - well-maybe I should use "Auror" to represent it."

Professor McGonagall was shocked beyond words. She looked at the data on the paper: "In your evaluation system, my magic value is about 6800 Chr, but my combat coefficient is only about 1.7 Hermione, that is to say, my actual combat power index is not high? Much worse than Dumbledore, right?"

"Yes, in fact, within Hogwarts, according to my index calculation your combat power index is already third. Professor Snape is [9200 Chr] [4.7 Hermione], only he is slightly higher than you."

Professor McGonagall suddenly said solemnly: "I feel like your paper seems familiar"

Chris was really a little stunned, can this work too? Was the two weeks wasted?

"The previous person only put forward some vague concepts, and you finally made a real result! You are clearer and more specific than him!" Professor McGonagall said solemnly.

"Who is that person?" Chris was shocked, could it be that there have been other time-traveler predecessors in this world where he is?

"Gellert Grindelwald!" Professor McGonagall said: "You shouldn't have heard of his name. He was a person from decades ago. He has been removed from all books,"

"I just heard that he seems to be the first generation of big devil?" Chris was a little shocked. The various information before time travel showed that Grindelwald was just a reformer, not a scientist!

Why is this version of the magic world not the same as what I knew before?

"Grindelwald, the infamous first-generation dark wizard! I don't even know his detailed story very well, because I had just started school when he was finally exiled. I have only read some of the books he wrote. If you need it, go to Professor Dumbledore, he is truly familiar with that person."

Chris always thought that Grindelwald only had some ideas for reform, but he didn't expect that he had already started some concrete magical practices.

Professor McGonagall continued: "I feel like you came to me for my help, right? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Professor McGonagall was very sensitive, and Chris did have some questions that needed help: "In this evaluation system, the biggest problem | encountered is that all the numerical calibrations are now sensed by my magical intuition. I need a device, a simple, uncomplicated alchemy tool to complete the measurement!"

"Alchemy tool?" Professor McGonagall immediately understood and said: "I think this although I know some alchemists, I think the best introducer is still Headmaster Dumbledore. He knows the greatest alchemist in the world and will definitely give you enough help!"

Chris understood that the greatest alchemist Professor McGonagall was talking about must be the creator of the Philosopher's Stone, Nicolas Flamel. In fact, this name should be translated as Nicolas Flamel, because that's how his English name is pronounced, but because he is French, his name should be translated according to the French pronunciation in the end he should be called Nicolas

After Chris came out of Professor McGonagall's office, he returned to the library. Now, with Ravenclaw's diadem, he can read more than a hundred books a day!

This number is quite amazing. In the four weeks since school started, Chris, who has been diligently. reading, has almost finished reading the entire regular book area of the library.

"Ms. Hermione! Good morning!" Chris found Hermione, who was frantically writing an assignment-Snape's Potions assignment, the main content of which was to explain the situation of a certain anesthetic, including the production principle and some effects.

Snape required everyone to write a paper no less than three feet in length, which is equivalent to about eight A4 sheets of paper.

"Not good!" Hermione's face was grim. This sleeping draught wasn't too difficult, and that was the problem because it was too simple, writing such a long paper was nearly impossible.

"I think you should learn from a future 'Master of Shirking and their treasure trove of word-count padding techniques," Chris teased. Chris said 'Master of Shirking' in Chinese, so it sounded awkward.

"Master of Shirking?" Hermione had an excellent memory, so she repeated the four Chinese characters with perfect pronunciation.

"Let me show you!" Chris took out his prepared fountain pen-although the entire magic academy used quills, Chris didn't like the feel. He had a fountain pen custom-made during the summer holidays that wrote with the same effect as a quill but felt much better in his hand.

Hermione watched Chris. This was the first time Hermione had ever seen Chris writing a paper.

"The first paragraph must briefly introduce this anesthetic, preferably within two hundred words."

"This passage comes from 'Common Magical Potions, by Marilyn Monroe, 1922 edition. It also gathers comprehensive introductions from several other books and fills in any gaps, You can find the relevant books on the 7th shelf from the top, on the left side of bookcase 15." Chris hand flew across the page -Chris almost finished this introduction while speaking, with a writing speed of over five hundred words per minute.

Hermione's eyes widened in astonishment. Was this even humanly possible??

"For the second paragraph, we will briefly review the history of anesthetics and the development and origin of this type of anesthetic potion, as well as the name of the inventor-the inventor of this drug is named Mark Twain. He was said to be a famous Muggle writer and an excellent potion master!"

"Here, to make the paper more vivid, we need to include a portrait of Mark Twain."

As Chris spoke, he took out an ordinary 2B drawing pencil from his bag with his left hand and began a quick sketch on the left side of the parchment his right hand continued to write the text of the paper on the right side of the parchment.

"The picture of Mark Twain comes from 'Compendium of 19th-20th Century Muggle Researchers,' by Adolf Clinton. 1982! If you are interested in reading his book and comparing it to the real Muggle world, you will laugh your teeth out!" Chris continued, writing about five hundred English words while saying this. The sketch in his left hand was basically complete, only needing some details.

"In the third paragraph, write about the basic composition of this anesthetic. I suggest drawing pictures of all five ingredients in this section and writing a simple introduction of each herb below the pictures." Chris drew pictures of the five ingredients with lightning speed. One of them was even a tree; Chris drew a large tree and included a close-up enlargement.

Hermione's mouth was wide open, unable to close it. This was simply something only a god could accomplish! How could anyone write with their right hand at a speed of five hundred words per minute while their left hand drew a bunch of pictures?

"The fourth paragraph is about the future development of this anesthetic-in other words, making appropriate improvements to the anesthetic. I've added four new improvement plans-three of which already have established medicines that some wizards have already made, and one that I thought of

myself."

"Writing this much is basically enough. Finally, we will list all the reference books-a total of about 17" Chris wrote to this point, then wrote his signature at the bottom, followed by the date-September 28, 1991.

"See? The paper is finished!" Chris looked at Hermione triumphantly. Hermione was completely dumbfounded

"How did you do it? No You can't write papers like this. If you get an A, then we'll all get Bs or lower!" Hermione was stunned. As a top student, this was the first time she had directly experienced the crushing power of a genius!

Hermione suddenly understood how Harry and Ron felt as underachievers

This kind of achievement was something she could never catch up to, no matter how hard she tried! The reason Chris paper got an A was because A was the highest grade allowed. If this were a gacha game, Chris handwritten paper would be at least an SSR! If Chris had used colored pencils, it would probably instantly upgrade to UR!

"I'm starting to feel sorry for this year's Ravenclaw wizards" Harry and Ron, who had arrived at some point, stood beside the two, watching Chris "performance" and feeling the powerlessness of underachievers.

Hermione alone already put a lot of pressure on Harry and Ron. This Christian Feynman in front of them completely shattered the two underachievers to the paint where they could never stand up again

"Chris, I finally understand what you told Harry and me last time what 'lying flat' and 'being a salted fish' mean! From now on, I will aspire to be Hogwarts' number one salted fish!" Ron added from the side.

"You can't do that!" Hermione seriously criticized the two: "Even if the gap between you and Chris is. large, it's normal, because Chris is no longer in the category of humans. You should follow my example!"

"Oh! Merlin's beard!" Harry exclaimed, "Learn what from you? Let me think getting up at six o'clock every morning to read in the library? Even Madam Pince has specifically talked to you because you come to the library too early and leave too late?"

"A qualified library should be open twenty-four hours a day!" Hermione insisted.

"No wonder Madam Pince is afraid of you... You know, we see Madam Pince like mice seeing a cat!" Ron shrugged, quictly took out a pastry from his package, and broke it into four pieces: "Let's enjoy some pastries first!"

Chris was the first to reach out, picked up a pastry, and put it in his mouth: "Not bad! Just too sweet!"

"Wait!" Hermione suddenly realized a problem: "Why are you two in the library?"

Getting Harry and Ron to come to the library was about as difficult as killing them.

"We're here to look up some information, about someone I don't know who" Harry explained while eating the pastry.

Chris immediately looked thoughtful: "Tell me about it, maybe I can help you."

Harry and Ron exchanged a look. Harry nodded, and Ron whispered. "Do you know who Nicolas Flamel is?"
