Chapter 91 - Fragments of Truth

(Why do I always have to go through things like this? I guess I'll never understand.)

Leonardo: Okay, there's a bench over there; let's sit and talk about everything. What do you say?

****: Alright, that works for me.

Our character and Leonardo walk to the bench and sit down.

****: Yes, Leonardo, explain everything now.

Leonardo: It's true that we held Anna, and the reason was that we were curious about some questions regarding you, but you really played a good strategy by not answering them. I congratulate you.

****: Thanks, but you know why we can still talk through Anna, right? Even though you've been hiding everything from me.

Leonardo: Look, kid, there are some things I need to tell you. Even though I said I would lead the Justice Community...

****: Leonardo, stop playing games, okay? This is one of your simple lies; I've never fallen for it. You know that.

Leonardo: Wait a minute, listen now, ****. I can talk, but please don't interrupt me.

****: Alright, go ahead.

Leonardo: As I just said, my main goal was to introduce you to them better because they're not considering new member recruitment these days. I don't understand the reason either. When I first made you the offer, they were going to do it, but then they backed out. That's actually why I've kept you waiting this long.

****: Is that all? How are you going to make me look good to them?

Anna: That's how it is. It will work; you haven't given any hints, if you've noticed, against Anna's questions. You know that too.

****: Yes, I know that, but I don't think they'll be convinced. If they're involved in such big things as you say, it's ridiculous for them to be convinced by this.

Leonardo: Normally, you're right, but they usually care more about these things. So it's not exactly as you think.

****: Okay, give it a try; I hope you succeed. Why am I even saying I hope? Maybe you're not a good community after all.

Leonardo: We're a good community; you can be sure of that.

****: Alright. We'll see.

Leonardo: See you then. We'll talk again another time.

****: I hope so. Bye for now.

Our character and Leonardo Moretti say goodbye and leave.

(It was a long and eventful day; I need to go home now. A lot has happened.)

Our character heads home.

(I hope my mom isn't mad; it's pretty late. It's 9 PM.)

Our character knocks on the door, and the door opens.

Sarah: Where have you been?

****: I had something to do, Mom; I'm sorry.

Sarah: Same old story; I don't want this to happen again.

****: Okay, Mom, it won't happen again. I'm sorry.

Sarah: Now go to your room.

Our character goes to their room.

(Today, the only thing left was to get scolded by my mom, and that happened too.)
