Chapter 103 - Dormitory Meeting

Hmph, it's not like I need her help.

I can manage on my own.

I've always gotten by like this... clearly always...

Damn it! Where on earth did she go!

As the saying goes, "endure for a moment and the storm will pass," but taking a step back only makes me angrier. Aoying was originally trying to comfort herself, but the more she thought about it, the worse it got.

She picked up her phone to send a message, but suddenly saw that the club group chat had been mentioned.

[You have a new message.]

Aoying was slightly taken aback and clicked in to take a look—

[(Special Attention) Ningning doesn't know]: Haha, everyone has been chatting a lot.

Damn it, she's clearly online, has time to chat in the group, but doesn't explain anything to me!

Just as Aoying was thinking this, a private chat window popped up.

[Ningning doesn't know]: Sorry, I got smashed by my girlfriend with high-tech weapons the day before yesterday, and just woke up now.

Her hand holding the phone trembled slightly.

...

Bai Ningning stretched leisurely.

Talking to someone like Aoying, who understands the situation, is great; you can say whatever you want, straightforward and direct, no need for euphemisms.

Unfortunately, the other party seemed to be offline and hadn't replied for a long time. But upon closer inspection, Aoying's profile picture was lit up.

Online, but not replying, what's going on?

After about ten minutes, she finally received a delayed response.

[Aoying President]: So, when are you coming to discuss things with me?

Last weekend, the two had agreed to have a serious conversation about making the club bigger and stronger. The original time was set for today, but because the big sister didn't play fair and used cheats, they couldn't meet as planned.

[Ningning doesn't know]: Tomorrow morning, I will definitely come.

After a few minutes, a reply came from the other side: [Then come to my dorm, I have no classes tomorrow morning, Room 201, Building 2.]

Dormitory, okay, tomorrow morning I also have no classes.

...

Thursday is a special day for students. One day earlier is midweek, one day later is the weekend, everyone is waiting for the holiday tomorrow, so naturally, today's enthusiasm for studying is low.

Of course, this has nothing to do with Bai Ningning; her enthusiasm for studying is low no matter what day it is.

Arriving at the girls' dormitory, Room 201, she raised her small hand and knocked on the door.

Knock, knock, knock.

"Who is it?"

"It's me, Bai Ningning."

Hearing that cool voice, Aoying was surprised and sat up from her bed. She had said it out of anger yesterday, and seeing that Bai Ningning hadn't replied, she thought she hadn't agreed.

She didn't expect her to come knocking quietly.

"Wait a moment, just a second."

In a flurry, she found her sleep pants at the head of the bed, put them on, and stepped out of bed in her little bunny slippers.

"Aoying, who is it?" her roommate rubbed her eyes, "Your friend?"

Since there were no classes in the morning, they were all sleeping in.

"Yeah, a friend."

Aoying grabbed a small mirror and checked herself out. The thin sleepwear was too small and thin, hardly covering her alluring figure, making her look quite appealing.

It was obviously too late to change into a shirt and Bai Ningning; the person was already at the door, what else could she do?

"Just open the door," her roommate yawned, "Why are you fussing over your appearance? Are you going out?"

"No, I'm not going out," Aoying mumbled, "I invited her to the dorm to discuss something."

"Right, since you're not going out, why bother worrying about that in the dorm?"

Aoying thought about it and realized it made sense, so she gritted her teeth and went to open the door in her sleepwear and little sleep pants. Her roommate looked at her back, feeling puzzled.

Usually so bold and straightforward, why was she acting like a shy girl today, afraid to meet someone in her pajamas? It's just a friend.

Wait, could it be that friend?

Her roommate recalled Aoying's unusual behavior these past few days and the inexplicable song "The Years We Spent Together" she had heard.

"Coming, coming," Aoying opened the door and pretended to be displeased, "Why did you come so early today? If you had this much enthusiasm yesterday, you wouldn't have to come again today."

Bai Ningning blinked innocently: "I couldn't help it; I didn't know my girlfriend would pull out that kind of thing. She never used to mess with props, and I don't know where she learned it recently."

Her roommate, pretending to be asleep, was confused, thinking, what's going on? How does Aoying's friend have a girlfriend?

What about Aoying then?

"Anyway, come in."

Bai Ningning felt something was off. After stepping in and taking a closer look, she realized Aoying's outfit today was so sweet.

Just a thin top and little sleep pants, nothing else, the pillows were all over the place, making it feel just like a bedroom.

Oh right, this is a bedroom, so it's fine.

"I didn't expect you to come so quickly," Aoying's pretty face turned slightly red, "I didn't really... tidy up, just make do with it."

Originally, she had put on a beautiful new outfit, a lovely little dress, and waited all day in the dorm for your message. In the end, you ghosted her.

What was she supposed to do!

"Um, okay."

Bai Ningning instinctively replied, then turned her head and suddenly felt something was off.

"Aoying President," she reminded, "I'm here to discuss things with you; what you wear doesn't matter, and you don't need to look."

Aoying's body trembled: "Yes, that's right..."

"I just misspoke."

She took a deep breath and turned to say, "What I meant to say is that I didn't have time to tidy up the dorm, so you'll have to make do with sitting."

"Okay, that's no problem," Bai Ningning smiled gently, "As long as there's a chair."

The roommate pretending to be asleep was getting more and more confused.

What's going on? Why does Lingyin's friend sound so formal? Is she role-playing or something?

No, wait, she said she has a girlfriend. What's going on with Lingyin...?

Turning her head to take a quiet look, wow, that recognizable youthful appearance, isn't that the campus beauty junior?

A storm was brewing in the roommate's heart.

Lingyin thought for a moment and pulled out two chairs from under the table: "Let's talk over here, it's quieter."

The girls' dormitory was spacious, with a main sleeping area, a bathroom, and a toilet, plus a balcony by the window. The balcony door had good sound insulation, so closing it wouldn't disturb the sleeping roommate during a normal conversation.

Lingyin moved the chairs to the balcony and wiped them down with a dry towel.

"Please sit."

The two girls sat facing each other, the breeze from the window gently tousling their hair, and even their gazes became hazy in the morning light.

To be honest, it really had a bit of a youthful movie vibe.

"Let's get started," Bai Ningning spoke first, "About making the club bigger and stronger."

"Mm," Lingyin nodded, "Actually, I already have some plans in mind, but it requires time, and it might not necessarily work out."

In Lingyin's vision, she wanted to collaborate with some local ACG industries to try and create something. But for now, it was just an idea because she didn't know those people, and the club itself had limited resources. If they really wanted to create something, they didn't have the capability.
