Chapter 82 - The Elevated Big Sister

Bai Ningning woke up at 7:30 in the morning. When she opened her eyes, Qin Yue was already not by her side.

Although going to bed early and waking up early is good for health, waking up too early can also lead to low blood sugar. She slowly got up and groggily walked to the living room, under the dining table.

The first thing to do after waking up is to have breakfast, no problem.

"Good morning, Miss Ningning," Aunt Zou came up with a tray, "I hope you remember to change your clothes; we'll be going out soon."

Going out, oh right, it seems like we're going somewhere.

After putting a piece of rice cake in her mouth, the sugar replenished her energy, and Bai Ningning finally came to.

Today is the day to return to the Qin family's hometown; the Qin family has a small family gathering, with the Qin family and some nearby relatives. And she would attend as Qin Yue's girlfriend, and also as Qin Xin's senior.

By the way, where is Qin Yue?

"Where's Yueyue? I haven't seen her since early morning," Bai Ningning suddenly remembered, "Where did she go?"

Before Aunt Zou could answer, Qin Yue walked in leisurely from outside and sat down next to Bai Ningning.

"I had nothing to do after waking up early, so I went to the garden to take a look and picked a few flowers."

Qin Yue took out a few small lilies she had cut and placed them in front of Bai Ningning.

Bai Ningning frowned slightly: "Why are you giving me this?"

"No reason, I saw them while I was bored and cut a few," Qin Yue said casually, "I thought of giving them to you, so I did."

She seems a bit strange today.

Bai Ningning opened her mouth, wanting to say a few words as usual, but in an instant, a warning from deep within her stopped her from speaking.

Today's Qin Yue was unusually calm, completely unlike her usual cautious self, afraid of accidentally upsetting Bai Ningning. Only when she was full of energy would she dare to talk and interact more with her.

Today's big sister was light and breezy, as if she had transcended, exuding a sense of freedom.

Dominant and dangerous.

So, Bai Ningning retracted what she originally wanted to say and asked, "What's wrong with you today? Did something good happen?"

"Is it not okay to be like this if nothing good happened? I think it should be like this," Qin Yue tore off a petal and soaked it in her tea, not drinking it, just quietly watching, "This is the right attitude towards life, don't you think?"

Of course, she wouldn't tell Bai Ningning that she woke up at five in the morning and then studied with the teacher she met online. Teacher 00 seemed to have been stimulated by something, teaching at an incredibly fast pace today, completely against the previously established "step-by-step" strategy.

Qin Yue calculated that after a few more lessons, the equipment course would officially start, and she would soon begin her internship. In other words, Bai Ningning's arrogant little days were numbered.

With this mindset, she remained at ease. No matter what Little Green Tea said now, it didn't matter—she just had to keep track for a few more days, and then she could settle all scores, both old and new.

Unfortunately, the little green tea seemed to sense something and actually held back at the last moment. For a moment, Qin Yue felt a bit disappointed.

"We should get home before noon, the earlier the better," she said, "What about Qin Xin? Has she gotten up?"

After speaking, Qin Yue was slightly stunned because she suddenly realized that since her sister moved back home, this seemed to be the first time she had actively inquired about her.

Previously, she had only asked once during a meal, and that was because of Qin Mom's instructions.

Just as she was speaking, Qin Xin also came from the corridor to the living room.

She sat down at the dining table, lost in her own thoughts. Unlike Bai Ningning, she was neatly dressed, and her dark autumn hoodie looked very refreshing.

"Are you all set?" Qin Yue asked her.

Qin Xin didn't realize her sister was talking to her. After a few seconds of silence, she finally looked up, somewhat belatedly: "I'm ready."

Her tone was flat, but there was a hint of confusion in her eyes.

When Qin Yue asked the question earlier, she thought it was directed at Bai Ningning, since the sisters rarely communicated, and even a single sentence like that felt quite unprecedented.

Bai Ningning didn't notice the unusual atmosphere at the dining table. She ate slowly for a while and was almost full. Looking up and glancing around, she noticed that Qin Xin, the younger student, was dressed very neatly, exuding a strong youthful vibe. Qin Yue, in her fitted clothes, showcased her tall figure and had a mature, elegant aura.

Looking down at herself, although her view was blocked by the pillow again, Bai Ningning knew that her fluffy pajamas were light, soft, and quite cute (adorable, endearing).

She understood what she needed to do: "I'm going to change clothes."

Changing into clothes from the Qin family didn't actually require a difficult choice, because Qin Yue had specifically bought them for her when they went shopping two days ago; she just needed to take them out and put them on.

As Bai Ningning took off her pajamas and started putting on the clothes, Qin Yue pushed the door open and walked in.

Bai Ningning paused.

"Go ahead, keep going," Qin Yue said casually as she sat on the edge of the bed, "Why do you stop moving when I look at you?"

Bai Ningning hesitated for a moment: "I think when a girl is getting dressed, it's best for others to avoid watching."

Qin Yue chuckled and mimicked her tone: "Is it possible that this person has seen everything they should see and a lot of things they shouldn't, so it's okay not to avoid it?"

It felt a bit awkward.

"Then you look."

Feeling an inexplicable sense of danger in her heart, Bai Ningning chose to avoid the spotlight, enduring the strange feeling as she continued to dress.

As Qin Yue watched, she suddenly asked, "What do you think of Qin Xin?"

Huh?

She's beautiful, a rare beauty, and her figure is quite good, especially when she wears black thigh-high socks; her long legs are simply amazing... but why are you asking me this?

Bai Ningning hesitated about whether to say the above out loud. She felt that if she spoke the truth, she might not be able to leave the bedroom today, or even get off this big bed in front of her.

"Actually, Qin Xin doesn't want to go home. Every time she goes back, especially when there are other relatives around, she... has a hard time," Qin Yue said without waiting for her response, "Because of some reasons related to me."

Bai Ningning quietly patted her small... large chest, thinking that it turned out she was asking and answering herself, so there was no need for her to respond.

She almost spoke the truth.

"In short, for some reasons," Qin Yue really asked her this time, "You should know a little bit, right?"

"Um, Qin Xin has told me," Bai Ningning said, "Because she has such an outstanding sister like you, she feels a lot of pressure at home, and the relatives are happy to add to that pressure and use it as daily conversation material."

"That's how it is." Qin Yue curled her lips slightly.

Although they were discussing an unpleasant matter, hearing the little green tea say "You're so outstanding" made her feel a bit proud unconsciously.
