Chapter 43 - Chapter 43

Uraraka's motivations to be a hero are not ones she is particularly proud of. Her family is not technically poor, but her family has to live frugally and not spend too much on anything. This is because her parents have a massive debt that can not be paid by getting a regular nine to five job.

The only way to use her quirk to make money is by being a hero because civilians are not allowed to use their quirk as they might endanger the populace, due to this being a licensed hero is the only alternative and being a pro hero pays very well. The fame comes with a lot of contracts and lucrative deals that would solve her money problems overnight.

That's her motivation to become a hero, an entirely greedy dream that is self-serving, saving the lives of the innocent, and being a protector of the people comes second to that objective.

She could feel her stomach churn as her insides threatened to rise from the pits of her stomach and exit out her mouth. She felt the nausea and felt her vision blurr as she lost her focus. However, she fought to keep the feeling of wanting to vomit at bay.

The situation was far too dangerous for her to lose focus and puking her guts out. The villains were here to hurt or even kill both her and her classmate, so this was no time for her body to betray her.

Still, she couldn't help but think that compared to the rest of her classmates who wished to become heroes for purely selfless reasons, they clearly had the right motivations and intentions, they had the makings of true heroes unlike her who was but a fake.

Although if there was a silver lining to this, it would be the fact she knew of someone who didn't even want to be a hero. He was simply here to protect his sister and have fun, so at the very least Taro's motivation made her feel like she wasn't the only one who was selfish.

Uraraka could hear the lashing of whips, the sounds of the whips snapping at Iida, yet there were no sounds of pain from him, meaning much like her he too was only keeping the villain at bay

"Ughh!"

She groaned as the nausea intensified. She felt a little lightheadedness, and her stance became wobbly and shaky. She was losing her balance. The location she was in mimicked a landslide, so the ground was not very solid to begin with.

"How long are you gonna keep this up girly? because I can do this all day!!"

The villain shouted as he continued to punch away at the oncoming debris, essentially swatting it aside as he slowly made his way towards Uraraka who was positioned on much higher ground than him but the man didn't look to be struggling.

Uraraka heard the villain's words and wanted to respond. However, opening her mouth would result in her spilling her guts out. Unfortunately, she did not need to do anything for that to happen.

The ground beneath her feet seemed to dip just slightly, forcing her to jerk backward as she slipped forward. That small movement forced to fall on her backside and caused her to lose focus and drop the debris that she had been using to keep the villain at bay.

Before she could refocus, she turned, the front of her head faced the ground, and she immediately started puking her guts out, clearing her stomach of the breakfast she had this morning.

With her focus lost, the villain lunged at her, leaping from his low position and attempting to tackle her and grab her before squeezing her form with his super strength; however, Uraraka was quick to roll out the way dodging the attack.

Unfortunately, she could barely stand on her knees, as the nausea and dizziness hadn't let up, making her defenseless; however, the villain stopped just short of trying to attack her while down.

"You okay Uraraka?"

Taro's voice rang in her ears, and relief washed over her body. The tension she was feeling was washed away. She didn't answer as she still felt dizzy and nauseous, but she gave him a thumbs up.

"Finally someone who looks like is worth my time shows up!"

The muscular villain shouted as he flexed his muscles, causing them to bulge and showing them off.

Taro gazed at him. He would indulge if things weren't so perilous for his classmates, so instead, he didn't answer or respond. He just acted.

Using his speed, Taro blurred from the villain's vision, and before he could tell what was happening, the villain could only see darkness as he got knocked out and dropped to the ground like a dead animal.

After handling Uraraka's foe, Taro made quick work of the villain Iida was fighting. Easily using her own tentacle whips against her and tying her up before knocking her out, it was her that Taro realised that this was getting boring real fast.

"Thanks Taro, I was planning to get close to her and use her tentacles against her, but it was difficult to grab them without taking a great deal of damage."

Iida commented between heavy breaths as he took a moment to rest and catch his breath. However, Taro did not acknowledge his words and instead slowly floated off the ground before positioning himself towards the central plaza.

"Can I trust you guys to rest up and then go assist the rest of our classmates with the villains, I'll head over to the central plaza to help Mr Aizawa"

Taro announced, he realised that going from zone to zone to help his classmates would be too time consuming, not only that but he was certain there was another creature similar to the one he faced and he doubted Aizawa could handle it alone.

It also did help the the villains he has seen so far, have not been particularly dangerous, Momo wasn't hurt to badly and neither were Uraraka and Iida, the only person who was hurt was Mina, if three out of four were unharmed then the rest of the students had a pretty good chances.

"We can do that, but are you sure it is wise?"

Iida asked. He had no qualms with letting Taro fight the big bad, most because he knew he had better chances than the rest of the class at assisting Aizawa.

"I'm not sure if it's wise, but I'm doing it anyway, Mr Aizawa can't handle all those villains by himself"

He answered, and Iida could only nod. He couldn't say anything more.

"btw don't bother going to the ruins zone, I took care of the villains there, Momo and Mina are resting there too."

With that said, Taro wasted zero time and flew towards the central plaza. Leaving Uraraka and Iida to their devices.

....

Aizawa ducked under an overhead strike, letting fly over his head and struck his foe to the stomach with enough force to send him tumbling to the ground.

He easily side stepped, dodging an attack from behind, He merely glanced at the enemy and then struck his foe on the crotch with the heel of his foot before using the same foot to kick him back.

His quirk was working overtime as he continuously turned it on and off while making quick work of all the small fry villains. It also helped that they hadn't figured out the secret behind his ability to cancel out quirks, so they seemed to think his quirk had turned off all of their quirks.

Aizawa jumped up, dodging a leg sweep and landed on top of the attacker, stomping on his stomach before jumping off and flipping to another area with fewer attackers.

Despite how it looked the numbers were starting to overwhelm him and he was starting to feel the fatigue, so he needed to move around to areas within the central plaza with fewer attackers and give himself a reprieve.

Landing right beside a dumbfounded villain who threw a half assed punch, Aizawa swatted to the side and struck him to the jaw and dropped him like a sack of potatoes.

He then backed up, stepping back, letting the punch aimed at his face miss before retaliating with a kick to the ribs, sending his foe rolling on the floor.

The villains have yet to get a good hit on him yet, and that told him all he needed to know about their competence and abilities.

'They may have outplayed us a little and anticipated the ambush, but in terms of overall power, they're subpar'

He inwardly thought as he continued to put hands on the villains, easily dodging them and countering with attacks of his own. Utilizing his scarf to bind the villains up and strike them or use it to redirect their attack.

He demonstrated agility and speed that these villains could not match, nor could they counter. It was obvious they were amateurs when compared to the likes of veteran heroes like Eraserhead.

These villains were small fry. What Aizawa was truly worried about was that big guy with a beak that stood beside the boss villain. His frame was huge dwarfing even the likes of All Might, no doubt once he got involved, Aizawa would have a difficult time.

Shigaraki, on the other hand, watched silently, observing the hero make easy work of his underlings, like a veteran QMMA fighter battle against floundering children

He couldn't help but be irritated and felt his skin itch, like bugs crawled underneath it.

"Looks he's worth being the Mini boss, like I said, although in this case, it looks more like a raid boss demolishing a bunch of underleveled mobs"

Shigaraki stated as he began to scratch his neck.

"What will you do, Tomura Shigaraki?"

Kurogiri questioned as he stood beside Shigaraki. With the grace and poise of a seasoned butler, the man knew his role well and committed to it. His job was not to guide but to listen.

"Hmm"
