The blue robin silently flew back to the clock tower.
It landed on the shoulder of the dark-clad girl, continuously chirping in her ear.
"I see, so they've finally made their move?"
The girl's voice was as crisp as a nightingale's, yet her tone was as somber as a witch lurking in the shadows.
"Aoko is unharmed… but she got spanked?"
The girl fell silent for a moment.
Then, the corners of her lips curled ever so slightly, as if recalling something amusing.
But the smile vanished as quickly as it appeared, her expression turning cold once more.
"Flat Snark, hold nothing back."
She didn't need to say it.
Oil of the Moon had never been one to hold back in the first place.
Even if its master ordered it not to kill, it would simply think, "Oops, I accidentally killed them,"—such was its malicious nature, capable of outright defiance.
As a familiar that thrived on resentment, it had no reason to be virtuous.
The enemy was finally on the move!
Oil of the Moon sensed the disturbance on the ground, its excitement growing at the prospect of crushing its foes.
On the ground.
Aoko had long since disappeared without a trace.
Eiji charged alone toward the heart of the amusement park, his legs moving so fast that even monsters dozens of meters long couldn't keep up.
A head-on confrontation?
How foolish!
Oil of the Moon sneered inwardly.
Unless its main body was found and destroyed, this barrier would never disappear. No matter how many resentment-driven monsters were defeated, they would never stop coming.
Was his target the Ferris wheel?
Oil of the Moon observed the tiny figure's movements.
On the ground, Eiji's goal was crystal clear—he sprinted straight toward the towering Ferris wheel.
Bread-men in his path were sent flying as he barreled through, not bothering to waste mana destroying them. His focus was solely on reaching his destination.
The Ferris wheel, noticing his approach, abruptly changed course. No longer mindlessly wrecking the park, it now charged directly at Eiji.
Its central axle spun like a drill, the connecting rods whirling with terrifying speed.
Both were moving fast—unbelievably fast.
In the blink of an eye, the distance between them shrank—
Two kilometers… one kilometer… five hundred meters… one hundred meters—
A two-meter-tall human and an eighty-meter-tall Ferris wheel were about to collide.
The sheer impact of the scene made even Aoko and Alice, watching from afar, hold their breaths.
Boom!
At the last possible moment, Eiji planted his foot and twisted his body aside with explosive force.
The Ferris wheel shot past him, missing entirely.
Snap!
But in that same instant, his hand shot out, seizing one of the descending rods. With inhuman arm strength, he let the momentum fling him upward, his agile form landing deftly on the Ferris wheel's frame.
Boom!
As the rod reached its apex, Eiji kicked off the structure—harnessing the Ferris wheel's own rotational force—
His body rocketed into the sky!
"He's exposing me?!"
Oil of the Moon panicked.
It had assumed Eiji intended to fight the Ferris wheel—but no, he was using it as a launchpad!
This guy was insane!
But this height wasn't enough!
Its main body hovered at least five hundred meters in the air. Without flight, reaching it was impossible… right?!
Just as the thought crossed its mind, the Oil of the Moon was stunned once more.
The human, now over two hundred meters in the air, somehow landed with pinpoint accuracy—on the back of the Chinese dragon.
Like some kind of acrobat!
Exactly.
Among the flying fairy-tale monsters in the park, only that dragon could reach such heights.
Damn it!
The resentment puppets it had painstakingly created had become the enemy's stepping stones!
Fury burned within the Oil of the Moon—but it knew the danger was real.
As Aoko had said, fairy-tale familiars were inherently fragile. A single direct hit could destroy them.
It needed a shield—now!
Whoosh—!
A biting gale erupted.
The sickly green clouds in the sky writhed and coalesced, forming a colossal skull at least a hundred meters wide!
Eiji, struggling to maintain balance on the dragon's back like some ancient deity taming a beast, narrowed his eyes at the sky.
The skull was nothing but cloud—no substance, just a facade.
But in its left eye socket… was a sickly green moon.
And that moon was visibly furious.
Crack—!
Amid the howling wind, moisture in the air rapidly condensed—forming ice at an alarming rate.
Now!
Eiji's gaze sharpened, his resolve unshakable.
With a powerful leap, he launched himself off the dragon's back.
A silver longsword materialized in his right hand amidst a flash of light, its tip aimed straight at the emerald moon!
BOOM!
A deafening sonic boom erupted!
Shockwaves rippled outward, blasting apart layers of mist.
Eiji's body shot forward like a hypersonic missile, a streak of light piercing through space and time itself!
His speed was set—to surpass his enemy's reaction time.
In that instant, Eiji's velocity exceeded the Oil of the Moon's ice-formation speed.
And then—
He smashed straight through the half-formed ice shield!
CRASH—!
That ice mass should have been meteor-sized—enough to obliterate the entire barrier's surface.
But the Oil of the Moon's reflexes were too slow.
Before it could finish, Eiji shattered the incomplete shield.
Fragments of ice exploded outward.
The Oil of the Moon's eyes widened.
Its ghastly green skull-face twisted with a mix of rage and terror.
Below, the human—now a living blade—had already crossed the final hundred meters.
Too late!
No amount of mana could save it now!
Eiji burned through his energy reserves, maintaining speed just enough—just barely enough—to stay ahead.
Click.
The silver sword's tip finally touched the Oil of the Moon's body—the center of that emerald moon.
BOOOOOOM—!!
Cracks spiderwebbed across the moon's surface.
With an earth-shaking explosion, the moon shattered into fragments, dissolving into a storm of wild mana that radiated outward.
This sword—had pierced the moon!
