A massive impact shook the ground beneath Wall Rose as Eren, in his Titan form, dragged Reiner down with him. The two giants plummeted from the towering height, crashing into the buildings below.
Above, the air was still scorching hot from the Colossal Titan's transformation. Bertholdt stood tall, his immense body radiating waves of heat that spread in all directions.
Mikasa, Adam, Jean, Sasha, and Conny stepped back, shielding their faces from the unbearable heat.
On the other side of the wall, Hange covered her eyes with her arm before shouting, "All units! Stay away from Bertholdt! We need to find an opening to attack!"
Armin, positioned slightly behind the others, observed the situation carefully.
"If we don't find a way to deal with Bertholdt, we won't be able to help Eren against Reiner," he murmured.
Adam stood beside Armin, his eyes sharp. "We need a strategy. If we just wait, we lose."
Mikasa, usually one to rely on instinct and raw power, turned to Adam and Armin this time.
"…What's your plan?" she asked firmly.
Adam glanced down, where Eren and Reiner had already begun their battle. "Eren can handle Reiner for now. But if Bertholdt joins the fight, we'll be finished."
Armin added, "Bertholdt always takes a defensive position. He won't move unless he has to. So, we need to force him to move."
Jean, listening to their conversation, stepped closer with a serious expression. "What do you mean?"
Adam smirked. "We make him feel cornered. If he feels threatened, he'll make a mistake."
Sasha, usually quiet during strategy discussions, swallowed hard. "But… how do we threaten the Colossal Titan?"
Adam drew his blades and grinned slightly. "With a little courage."
BOOM!
Eren swung his fist at Reiner's face, sending the Armored Titan staggering several meters back. A loud crash echoed as Reiner slammed into the ground.
But the Armored Titan was unharmed.
Reiner quickly stood back up, his glowing eyes filled with determination.
"I can't lose you, Eren," he said, his voice heavy with emotion. "If you come with us willingly, things will be easier."
Eren growled in his Titan form—there was no way he would surrender.
BOOM!
The two Titans clashed again, debris and dust scattering in all directions.
Above, Adam, Mikasa, Jean, Sasha, Conny, and Armin moved swiftly.
They spread out, surrounding Bertholdt, who remained standing motionless. His heat waves had weakened slightly, giving them a chance to get closer.
Mikasa was the first to attack, launching herself forward at incredible speed with her ODM gear.
But before she could reach him, Bertholdt's massive hand swung toward her.
BOOM!
Mikasa barely dodged in time, spinning through the air to avoid the impact.
Sasha and Conny fired smoke grenades to block Bertholdt's vision.
Jean shouted, "Now, Adam!"
Adam shot through the air at high speed, twisting mid-air before slashing at an exposed part of Bertholdt's neck.
But… his blade broke.
Adam was thrown backward, landing hard on the wall.
Armin, witnessing the failed attempt, gritted his teeth. "There's no weak point on his body like before…"
Bertholdt turned toward them and began lifting one of his colossal legs.
"He's going to destroy the wall!" Hange yelled from a distance.
Jean, Conny, and Sasha leaped into the air, aiming to slash at his leg tendons.
But Bertholdt released another heat wave!
They were all pushed back.
Adam stood up, his body shaking from the intense heat.
"Armin, we can't win like this."
Armin exhaled sharply and looked at Adam. "…Are you sure you can do it?"
Adam smirked slightly. "I always have a plan."
Adam took a deep breath, then launched himself with his ODM gear.
Bertholdt wasn't paying attention—his focus was still on Mikasa, who kept attacking relentlessly.
That's when Adam moved in mid-air, firing his gas straight toward Bertholdt's head.
BAM!
A thick white mist filled the air, blinding Bertholdt.
In an instant, Mikasa seized the opening—this time, she successfully slashed off one of Bertholdt's fingers!
Bertholdt let out a pained groan.
But before they could do more damage… a sudden loud noise echoed from below.
Eren had been thrown down by Reiner. The Armored Titan was now pinning him down.
And at that moment…
Bertholdt jumped down.
Adam and the others stared in shock.
"Damn it… they're going to kidnap Eren!"
Without hesitation, Mikasa leaped down.
Adam looked below, gripping his blades tightly.
"…I won't let that happen."
Without a second thought, he jumped down as well.
