Qin Yi had just looked out the car window when she saw Qin Dayong being kicked out, followed by several security guards who arrogantly pointed at him and hurled insults.
"Dad!"
Qin Yi screamed, pulling open the car door and rushing out, with Qin Xi close behind.
The sisters had just been crying over their heartache for Qin Dayong, and now, seeing their father being beaten, they were even more distressed and filled with rage.
"Dad, are you okay?"
The sisters rushed over and quickly helped Qin Dayong up from the ground.
Fortunately, he had only been kicked and wasn't injured, though his clothes were covered in dust.
The security guards, who had been extremely arrogant moments before, were stunned when they saw Qin Xi and Qin Yi. They hadn't expected this "beggar" to have such beautiful daughters.
"Why did you hit my dad?" Qin Yi, relieved to see Qin Dayong wasn't hurt, turned her anger on the security guards.
Since she had temporarily taken over as general manager in place of Luo Bin, weeks of experience had given her a noticeable air of authority.
"Miss, you can't blame us for this! Look at your dad—no bathhouse would let someone like him in, let alone our Yellow River Bathhouse," said the head of security, the very guard who had kicked Qin Dayong, still looking smug.
Though Qin Xi and Qin Yi were beautiful, the guards knew their place and understood that such women were beyond their reach, so they showed no courtesy to the sisters.
"Did my dad not pay or something? Or do you have a written rule barring people like him from entering? Even if you don't allow him in, can't you just talk properly? Why resort to violence?" Qin Yi was furious and showed no intention of backing down.
"You think just because you're pretty, you can cause trouble at Yellow River Bathhouse?" The security captain, irritated by Qin Yi's persistence, sneered, "I've seen plenty of bitches like you who act all pure. As long as the money's right, you'll do anything."
Hearing such vulgar words from the security captain, the sisters were wide-eyed and trembling with anger.
Qin Dayong, who had been meek moments before, couldn't stand to see his daughters insulted like this.
"How dare you insult my daughters! I'll fight you!" he roared, charging bare-handed toward the seven or eight security guards armed with rubber batons.
But before he could reach them, a figure shot past him.
"Bang!"
The next moment, the once-arrogant security captain was sent flying through the air, hurled back into the bathhouse.
Soon after, there was another "thud" as his body crashed into the glass of the revolving door, shattering the two-meter-tall pane into pieces.
But that wasn't the end. After smashing through the glass, he slammed into the front desk and instantly lost consciousness.
Screams of terror echoed through the lobby.
The remaining security guards stood frozen, having witnessed their captain being kicked over ten meters, crashing through the glass, and landing in the bathhouse lobby.
Qin Dayong finally caught up, but his target was already unconscious.
"I'd like to see who dares to stop my dad from taking a bath," Yang Chen said coldly. He turned to Qin Dayong. "Dad, come with me!"
Qin Dayong had never seen such a scene before and was at a loss.
Just then, Qin Xi and Qin Yi walked over, each taking one of his arms. "Dad, listen to Yang Chen. Let's go in!"
Now that the sisters knew more about Yang Chen's background, they were confident that there was little in Jiangzhou he couldn't handle.
Qin Dayong looked deeply at Yang Chen, as if seeing his son-in-law for the first time. The image of Yang Chen kicking the security captain away was seared into his mind.
In that moment, he remembered many things. The murderous glare in Yang Chen's eyes just now was exactly the same as that of the masked man from half a month ago, when he had agreed to use Qin Xi as a bet.
Recalling that Qin Xi hadn't been taken away, he suddenly had a bold suspicion: the masked man that day was Yang Chen.
He had done it all to make Qin Dayong experience the cruelty of a gambler's ruined life, so he would quit gambling.
Thinking back on how he had insulted Yang Chen in the past, Qin Dayong now felt only guilt and gratitude.
"Alright, I'll go with you!" Qin Dayong nodded firmly, his confidence seemingly restored.
With every step Yang Chen took forward, the remaining security guards retreated.
Thus, a curious scene unfolded at the entrance of Yellow River Bathhouse: seven or eight security guards armed with rubber batons were forced back into the bathhouse by Yang Chen, who was empty-handed.
The commotion quickly drew the attention of the bathhouse's大堂经理 (front desk manager).
"What's going on here?" he asked angrily, seeing the revolving door destroyed and the security captain unconscious on the floor.
Just then, he noticed the seven or eight security guards backing into the bathhouse.
Following them, he saw Yang Chen, along with the middle-aged man flanked by two stunning women.
"Did you attack my men?" the manager asked, his gaze fixed on Yang Chen.
Though he wasn't sure what had happened to the security captain, he could sense that everything was connected to the cold-faced young man.
"Your dog had a foul mouth. He deserved it," Yang Chen replied coldly.
"You've got some nerve causing trouble at Yellow River Bathhouse. If you can't give me a reasonable explanation, you won't be leaving here today," the manager said coldly. As he spoke, several more security guards armed with rubber batons rushed out, surrounding Yang Chen and the others.
Qin Dayong, who had been nervous, felt his fears vanish when he saw Yang Chen's calm demeanor and his daughters' composed, fearless expressions.
Though he didn't know exactly who Yang Chen was, having realized that the masked man was his son-in-law, he now had full confidence in him.
"As the manager, aren't you going to ask what happened before placing all the blame on the customer?" Yang Chen said coldly.
The manager frowned. "What exactly happened?" he asked, this time directing the question to the bathhouse staff.
"Manager, that beggar was causing trouble earlier. I politely asked him to leave, but he refused and even became abusive. He tried to hit me," a young woman from the front desk said, pointing at Qin Dayong with a sarcastic tone. "I called security to escort him out, but it turns out he had accomplices."
The lobby was now crowded with people, all pointing and whispering about Qin Dayong after hearing the front desk staff's account.
"I wasn't causing trouble! I wasn't being abusive, and I never tried to hit her! I had money and just wanted to take a bath. She told me to get out and called security on me!" Qin Dayong urgently explained.
