Cherry/Lilith's POV
I had tried to make myself believe that I had been holding up well, my son had a roof above his head, three to four meals a day and lots of toys to compensate for the loss of my presence, but Sebastian's appearance broke that illusion.
I was not doing well; I was at rock bottom, the worst point of my life.
For a moment, the rain didn't matter, nor the fact that he was just standing outside the door.
''Cherry...we need to talk.''
I looked up at the man in front of me, my eyes meeting his. This man had lost his most treasured person from his life, so why did he look so put-together? Did he not know about her death?
Sebastian sighed, pushing me off his body, ''If you had looked at me that way before dating that criminal, I would have burnt the world down for you.''
A pang of guilt hit my already heavy heart.
Right, it was all my fault.
He invited himself in, closing the door, ''I don't want you looking into the past now, help me send that bastard to hell.''
